[REVIEW] Ariul 7 Days Pomegranate Mask

Ariul 7 Days Pomegranate Mask Review:

I bought this mask because of its design. I won’t even lie about it! Looking at it I felt like they were writing an encyclopedia entry about pomegranates and that felt very unique. Also, it’s probably the only mask that has more text than color in its pack’s design and is still a beautiful pack.

Then of course, there are the promises it makes. And the fact that pomegranate is such a unique fruit that never really smells the same in skin care products!

This mask pouch opened really easily. It was the easiest to open of all the mask pouches or any other cosmetics’ “tear off” type of opening I have ever tried. I also appreciate that the package is small so it’s a little more environmentally friendly. I mean, we are going to throw it out, so why do so many brands make overly big mask pouches?

I took a peek at the essence as soon as I opened and it looked like a cream type of essence, and I though that was a little weird considering their description (I found out later, obviously, that it wasn’t a creamy essence).

The mask sheet is packed nice and compact. And right as soon as I grab it I feel its softness (which is not extreme but it’s sufficient), and I feel it rich in the ampoule, just like they said!

They were right, the mask is huge. It’s so huge that I can’t match my eyes and nose. So I had to cut it, because the fit was too horrible. I cut it through the lines as shown in the photo on the right. It also kept sliding down and dripping the essence on the part of the mask that was under my chin!

They said no slippage and no dripping, but those two were a big miss on my face. More than slippage I would say the mask just keeps unglueing from my face! I mean I laughed once and everything unglued up until my nose.

The essence seems to be sliding down the mask (which they also said would not happen) because my forehead is drier than the rest and I have some drops falling from my chin.

The scent is really light, fresh, and nice. I don’t know if it smells like pomegranate because I have never eaten one, but it’s a really good smell! The essence is milky and absorbs crazily well. It is not sticky at all, it’s one of the least sticky essences I tried, if not the least sticky. It’s around as sticky as the Pearl mask from Aritaum (which is not sticky at all).

But when it came to the effects they were right. You can see the effect after just one use! The skin is hydrated and relatively moist too. It’s relatively firm and it’s definitely brighter.

I will have to say with that horrible fit and since the mask didn’t feel magical I won’t purchase it again unless it’s on promotion. But I also must say that – excluding everything else – the results they promised were on point and had extra hydration! I definitely advise this for any skin type (but dry skin types can’t forget to moisturize afterwards). I really loved the results but it was so uncomfortable for me.

If what puts you off using this mask is just the fit, I would suggest checking other people’s reviews because different face shapes fit differently on the masks!
