[REVIEW] Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel Review:

As being a Korean skincare aficionado, and having skin this handful, looking up Benton’s window is pretty much inevitable. “It’s only logical” as would Spock say. Also browsing their website and seeing description of a product like this:

This soothing gel prevents skin damage, leaving skin refreshed and hydrated.

Aaaand I was sold.

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel Review:

Product itself is transparent gel with no colour and no fragrance. It comes in simple, yet elegant, vertical green tube. Product dispensing is easy, convenient and not messy at all. Simple. Easy. Convenient.

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel Review

Ingredients list is simple, neat, and combined at pH of 5.5 – 6. Aloe vera extract and propolis extracts are the star ingredients supported by non-irritating herbal extracts including cucumber and lemon extracts.

No irritants whatsoever and it makes this product appropriate for every skin type. Not just faces. I find it very cooling and soothing after day spent on the beach and then applied on overheated and sunburnt parts of the body.

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel Review

I like it from the fridge. Cooled like that it’s so refreshing and soothing. I bought it last spring as preparation for summer time skin care regime and I am not disappointed.

Benton recommends following sequence:

Cleansing  Aloe BHA Skin Toner  Snail Bee High Content Essence  Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel  Snail Bee High Content Lotion  Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream

I don’t use all of the products mentioned above, but this gives you pretty clear picture of this product’s place in the routine.

Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel Review

When used with other skin care products, this gel doesn’t pill, doesn’t interfere with other products and is actually great propolis add on to your routine. It sinks fast into the skin and doesn’t leave that unwanted sticky feeling.

It’s light, refreshing, soothing. Is it miracle maker? No. Is it troubled skin game changer? No. It is light breeze on your skin when it is hot and heavy outside. I am talking about all skin types.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this shouldn’t bother oily skin types, nor dry out already drier skin types. Only the latter will need more moisturizing products after this gel.

I have tried both as this summer my skin likes to make silly zig zag turns, from combination to dry, and this gel is fine for both zig and zag.

So, will I repurchase? Hm… I don’t know. Probably next summer. Well, possibly.
