Cosrx is extremely well-known in the AB community. It is famous for its affordable yet effective products, focusing on maximizing the efficacy with a minimum list of ingredients. Cosrx is one of the first brands of Korean skincare that I bought when I joined the AB community. I got introduced to Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask from a favorite YouTuber of mine who loved the Rice Overnight Spa Mask so much for its brightening effects that I had to get one for myself too!
“Enriched with more than 65% of rice extract, this mask provides intensive nourishment with deep moisture and brightening”

How to use:
As a sleeping mask: Apply to face, avoiding the eye and mouth area, after cleansing and toning. Leave on overnight and rinse with water in the morning.
As a wash-off mask: Apply a generous amount and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash with toner or warm water.
As a cream: Use at the end of basic skincare and continue with your normal step.
Honestly, I just use it as a sleeping mask as the last step of my night routine. I don’t use it as a wash-off mask cause to me that would just be a waste of product and I don’t use it as a cream as it is too heavy for me to use during the day.
My Skin Type: Combination to oily skin/minor PIH/dull skin
Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask Review:
The Rice Overnight Spa Mask comes in a tub packaging. I love the clean design of the packaging. It did not come with any spatula though, so you’d have to get one cause you wouldn’t want to contaminate it every time you dip your fingers in it. It has an additional plastic lid inside so that it won’t get messy.
It has a light creamy texture. The cream is white in color but does not leave any cast. It has a certain smell to it which I can’t seem to put a name on it (maybe it smells a little bit like palm oil).
Some of the notable ingredients were Rice Extract, Glycerin (moisturizing) and Niacinamide (brightening).
At first, I was using this every night for about a week but then I felt that it was too heavy for me to use every day so I would use it every other day or rather 2-3 times a week, depending on the weather and the condition of my skin that day 😛
I have been using it for almost 4 weeks now. I haven’t seen any brightening effects yet, maybe because I haven’t used it as often. But when I do use it, it gave my skin enough moisture and hydration that it needed to last throughout the night *thumbs up*.
I would say that I like this mask. Although it can be too heavy and oily for me sometimes, knowing that it is always humid here in Malaysia but it would be great to use for those occasional dry and cold nights or whenever I sleep in an air-conditioned room.
I don’t think I would repurchase it though, now that I have even tried their Honey Overnight Mask, I prefer that one over this ☺
I would recommend this product to someone with very dry/dry/normal skin type. A few people with dry skin whom I knew who actually had tried this really loved it.
