[REVIEW] Etude House AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask

Etude House AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask Review:

I love Korean face masks. Mainly because there is a huge variety. There are masks for every type of skin and every skin concern or problem one can imagine. This diversity is simply astonishing. By now I have tried my fair share of face masks and now I feel I can compare them without bias.

I got this Etude House mask when my skin was acting up with the hope of calming my skin down. That particular period was awful because my skin had begun breaking out like crazy and I had no idea why. I am not quite sure if it was because of the mask or because of the complex skincare routine but my face started to slowly get better.

Etude House AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask Review:

The texture of this mask is nice and despite the thick consistency it applies smoothly. It also has a slight cooling sensation. After washing it off the skin looks clean and purified and maybe slightly brighter and softer. However, in order to notice a difference regarding your acne you shouldn’t expect a miracle on the first time. You should use this mask for at least a month.

The fragrance is kind of strong. It reminds me of menthol and tea tree. Those of you with sensitive noses beware.

As for the ingredients, Kaolin and Glycerin are pretty high up in the list so it will clean and soothe your skin without being overly dying. There is also Salicylic acid and Tee tree oil for treating acne and skin troubles. Also there are some interesting plant extracts – garlic, onion and papaya. Papaya is a natural AHA, garlic is an antioxidant and onion apparently helps with acne scars. It contains small Vitamin E infused beads that dissolve during application.

As you can see from the pictures the packaging is the standard tube one in a pinkish color to match the product inside I guess. I have to say that for clay masks I find this type of packaging preferable. It just seems more hygienic for me than a container packaging. This way it is exposed to a lot less air and germs.

I have been using this mask for a few months now. Keep in mind this is a face mask for acne skin. When my skin was breaking out it did its job – dried out the pimples and soothed my skin. I liked how it left my skin softer and it also calmed down the redness.

But after my skin got better the mask was a bit drying so I started using it as a local treatment on single pimples and surprisingly it worked good. This mask would be perfect for multimasking as well.

I liked the overall effect of this mask on my skin. It is perfect for those times when the skin is irritated or before that time of the month, seeing how most women are likely to get more pimples in that period, so you can use it as a sort of preventive treatment for then.

However, I am not sure whether I will repurchase it again simply because I want to try some new masks.
