[Review] Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint PK002

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint PK002 Review:

If there’s any kind of product you can never really get enough of, that is lip products. For some reason it seems like 50 shades of red lip tints are too little. Etude House is a brand that really understands how to make a product long lasting and appealing, in a very affordable price range. At first I wasn’t planning on buying any more lip products since I already had enough however, when etude house released this line, I checked the shades and simply fell in love.

This product is supposed to have double the pigment from the previous formula and it also contains pomegranate and soapberry extract, that provide minerals and vitamins to your lips and have a moisture effect on them so that they won’t get chapped.

Claims:

This product claims to be long lasting and pigmented while giving a fresh fruity feel to your lips.

I was impressed by the container of this lip tint. It feels very strong and looks cute but sleek. The tint itself smells very sweet and fruity like it claimed. To be precise, it smells like a mixture of apple and pomegranate.

The formula is thin but not too watery and it can be applied very easily. It turns out, Etude House wasn’t lying. This tint is VERY pigmented! A thin layer of it on your lips is extremely visible and just enough.

As far as its performance goes, it’s above average. I’d say it’s close to where the ideal lip tint would be but also not quite there yet. It doesn’t get affected by weather conditions. Both very hot and very cold temperatures don’t affect it. I also tested it under heavy rain and it remained intact.

In case you wear it on your full lips, if you eat/ drink, it will lose its pigment but not in an ugly way. It slowly becomes gradient until it fades off (so far not even once has it faded away completely from my lips).

As it starts to fade off, it slowly brings out its undertones and it becomes the perfect gradient look.

If you wear it and don’t drink or eat, it will last you for the whole day and remain very pigmented. Then, however, is impossible. You can’t go for a whole day without drinking water just because you want your lip tint to last longer!

If you’re going for the gradient look straight away, don’t expect too much. Just a few sips of water make the tint go away, but not completely.

So far, I’m very pleased with this product. For its very reasonable price (about 5 dollars), and with very few improvements, it could even be considered as a dupe for Peripera Ink Airy Velvet lip tint, in case you don’t want a lip tint on your lips for 2+ days (since the price is very similar so you probably wouldn’t need a dupe for it otherwise haha).

I’d recommend this to anyone that doesn’t want to spend a lot on their makeup products but still look for quality in them. I currently have two of them and I’m wavering between which shade I should purchase next. It’s an amazing, cheap and easy to use product. Check it out!!
