[Review] I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel

I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel Review:

Having dry skin, I have always used a moisturizer diligently. But I have yet to find one that I could crown as my Holy Grail moisturizer though I have tried quite a number from Western to Asian brands, as well as from high-end to drug store brands. Therefore I am constantly on the hunt.

I live in a country that is hot and humid pretty much all year around, so I prefer to use a gel moisturizer during the day and a cream moisturizer at night. I was on the search for a day moisturizer when I decided to give I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel a shot.

This product comes in a sturdy glass jar and a spatula. I have no issues with the packaging but I can see it being a bit troublesome for traveling, however you can always decant it in a smaller jar. The texture is of a colourless gel-type consistency and barely has a scent. I appreciate this very much because I cannot stand using highly fragranced skincare products.

When applied, it feels very cooling on the face. It spreads around wonderfully and easily absorbs into the skin. It dries down slighty matte, feels very lightweight and non-sticky. This water gel layers well with the rest of my skincare products with no pilling issue. It also works great as a makeup base.

I would normally apply this after a hydrating toner in my daytime skincare routine and followed with sunscreen. Whenever I want to use this in my nighttime routine, I would mix it with three drops of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop and I have noticed I would wake up the next morning with well-hydrated, smooth, brightened and glowy skin.

I enjoy this product very much! I always find myself looking forward to using this in my routine. I love everything about it, from the packaging, its texture, the non-existent scent and the finishing.

The only con I feel is that for dry skin like mine, this alone does not provide enough moisture and hydration, therefore it is recommended to apply it on top of a few layers of light products, like a hydrating toner, essence and serum. However, for combination to oily skin I imagine it would work great on its own. I would definitely repurchase.
