Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder Review

[Review] Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder

It is summertime for me, and it gets really hot from where I live. The other day, the heat index was at 40°C. I can barely stand it! I feel that my makeup feels the same way too. During this time, I try to lessen stuff that I put on my face– may it be skincare or make-up products. While I could say that my skin is pretty much okay, I still don’t have the courage to go out bare-faced; although I try to use cushion that are lightweight which also means less coverage (and I am totally okay with that). Considering the heat, however, there’s just a need to settle it with powder or you could fry an egg on my face in less than an hour! I own a few loose powder but they can’t seem to handle my greasiness well– so I looked for a powder which specifically combats oiliness. And that’s how I found Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder.

Product Claims:

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder claims to absorb excess sebum and oil to prevent makeup from being patchy while correcting dull skin tone. It helps in keeping the skin bright and radiant all day long. This powder contains Jeju natural minerals and mint which provides refreshing oil control and moisture.

Now let’s see if Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder can handle the scorching heat!

Ingredients:

Silica, Corn Starch Modified, Dimethicone/vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Mica, Methicone

The powder is housed in a tiny green jar; it comes with a small puff and has a sifter inside to prevent spilling. The scent of this powder is a bit minty –but really faint scent that is. The powder itself is soft and white –you can tell by the photos that the powder’s texture is really fine.

Do not worry because the powder adjusts well with skin tone, I do not get any white cast from this product. Although this comes with a puff, I prefer using a brush (I am not a puff-person). I find it more convenient to even out with the use of brush instead of puff.

This product is heaven to apply, blends easily and well with my skin. What I like about this product is its finish –it feels velvety matte, not flat! Most oil control products give you that flat feels on your skin and I am happy to tell you that this powder is not one of them!

I use this product on top of my cushion foundation and I like the effect. This product is so lightweight and clung to skin well. I could say that Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder is pretty good because it can hold my make-up 2-3 hours which is decent in all honesty considering how humid it is from where I live.

Overall, I like this product and would definitely repurchase! Although, I would probably get this in compact form as I find the loose powder a bit messy to use especially in public washrooms. I highly recommend this for people who live in humid area and have oily skin! I also feel that this may work even with people of sensitive skin because it seems gentle.

  1. The one I use is the Finish Pack from W-Lab´s series “Sebum Out!”. It leaves my skin super smooth, mattified and I love the smell it has. Give it a go if you want to change powders 🙂

    • Oh yes, I think I’ve seen that one before. Although, I’m not quite familiar with the brand. Will check it out, thank you! 🙂
