Mamonde Hydrating Flower Essence Mask Narcissus Review

[Review] Mamonde Hydrating Flower Essence Mask | Narcissus

Masks, forever a skin care enthusiasts fan. Now reaching people who aren’t even Asian beauty enthusiasts! This one is another Mamonde mask from the “flower essence” collection. After I tried Rose and Hibiscus, when I went to the store and the lady offered me a mask and I specifically asked for the Narcissus one. It says it is for hydration, the package is a nice underwear-colored blue, and I personally love the legend of Narcissus.

Claims:

A mask that fills the skin with moisture by hydrating with the flower that stores much water in dry land.
The mask sheet itself is made in the pure ten cell fit technology made with natural eucalyptus. This mask technology has a textile with high transparency. High moisture retention. Cool and soft texture fabric. And strong elasticity.

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Narcissus Tazetta Extract, Lactobacillus, Disodium Edta, Tromethamine, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp Copolymer, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer,  1,2-hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Fragrance

Volume: 22 ml

How to use:

  1. Apply on well washed and dry skin, after applying a toner or a skin texture refiner.
  2. Remove the mask from the pack, spread it open and place it on your face, matching the eyes, nose and lip area.
  3. Flatten the mask on your face as much as possible for better adherence.
  4. Remove after 10 to 20 minutes and pat the remaining essence onto your skin.
  5. Proceed with the remaining skin care.

My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, blemished, sensitive, and allergic.

Mamonde Hydrating Flower Essence Mask Narcissus Review:

Well, as soon as I opened it I had a surprise. Not a good one… not bad either, it just bothered me.

As you can see the essence splattered a bit all over. Not too much, nothing wasteful, but I was wearing my glasses! Other than that, easy to open and easy to pull the mask out.

The mask is pretty soaked, as Mamonde has gotten us used to. It is a very wet type of essence and makes the mask very transparent.

You can see here, even my beauty marks show! Other than that, ignore my fat European nose. But the mask does have a good fit. Compared to some others that is..

The scent is quite pleasant. I don’t know if the narcissus flower smells like this, but I can tell you that if it does… then I would have fallen in love with myself too if I was Narcissus!

The essence is very watery, but it sort of gel like also. Unfortunately, and this is unusual in Mamonde masks, there isn’t much essence left in the package for you to enjoy.

Here you can see it after absorption. It is a hydrating mask, so you can’t really see any result. But I can feel that my skin is very hydrated, now I just have to lock it in with the remaining skin routine!

Will I buy this mask again? Probably, if my skin is really dry I can do double masking, or use this as the hydrating step on my treatment. But otherwise, I don’t think I will since I prefer moisturizing, calming, or cooling masks. Although, just for the record, the mask did deliver what it promised!
