[Review] Mediheal NMF Aquaring Ampoule Mask Ex

Mediheal NMF Aquaring Ampoule Mask Ex Review:

I first got this mask as a gift, and I must say I wasn’t a fan of it right at first usage. Because I had a very bad sebum day on that day. But then I gave it another shot. And from that moment onward I’ve really enjoyed using this mask. I also want to add, I didn’t know Mediheal until I tried this, but after this mask I have remembered that brand’s name!

Claims:

NMF (Natural Moisture Factor) is a water moisturizing system made to recharge your energy. It creates a moisture veil to let your skin remain moist for hours. Removes the dryness of the skin while controlling the sebum and minimizing the pores.

This mask also contains hyalurinic acid and ceramide, ingredients known for the power of keeping the moisture in the skin. Long term use can reduce or solve allergic reactions and rashes caused by dry skin. (Oooooh so that’s why it feels so nice after using it often – I have an allergic skin)

The mask sheet has a silky texture made to fit your facial curves. It’s made 100% out of cotton and delivers the essence gently all through the application.

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Propylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Fomes Officinalis, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Allantoin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Seed Extract, Chondrus Crispus, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Trehalose, Ceramide 3, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Bis-peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Carbomer, Triethanol Amine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium Edta, Adenosine, Parfum/fragrance, Lysine, Histidine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Threonine, Serine, Glycine, Alanine, Valine, Methionine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Cysteine, Glutamic Acid Prolines

Volume: 25ml

How to use:

  1. After cleansing, refine the skin texture with a toner, and wear the mask, applying from the top of your forehead, down the nose, and then to the upper cheeks, and only then the rest.
  2. Hold the tip of the mask next to the end of your jawbone, on both sides, pressing it tight and “closing” the mask for a perfect fit.
  3. Take a rest for 10 to 20 minutes, take the mask off, and pat the remaining essence until it’s absorbed.

My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic.

Although the mask pouch isn’t heavy or anything like that, but there’s a very thick plastic cover on the inside, so it’s very difficult for someone like me to open it by hand. I’m clumsy and just plain bad at opening things.

There, I scissored it.

The mask feels thick when I grab it, and is full of essence. Right away you can feel this deep watery (well, cosmetic watery at least) smell that spreads all over, but is not too intense. A little more intense than I would like, but nothing that bothers my nose.

The mask sheet unfolds without marks or folds leftover in it, and is really soft even though it’s thicker than some masks. It also feels like it’s more made of cotton than anything else.

The mask fit is… good. The mask is a little too big for my face, and of course it doesn’t fit on the nose, but not in a way as extreme as other masks. It’s on the upper end of mask fits for me! Also, it’s very comfortable on my face, it moulds itself around my face like a sock on my foot. So, tight almost everywhere.

The arm test. It’s a thick gel-like essence, and it spreads in a very watery manner. However, it feels like a cream all this while. After it absorbs into the skin there’s a slightly sticky feeling for a while, which means that it absorbs more than just “disappearing from the surface”. The reason I know this is because I’ve used this mask a few times already, and I now know it absorbs further than meets the eye.

I have this problem with masks, they dry really fast on my upper (and sometimes under) lip area. This one is no exception, it dried there before the 20 minutes are over, so it’s time for me to remove it. Even though it’s still humid elsewhere – you shouldn’t let a mask dry on your skin, it can dehydrate it.

So, after the mask is removed, I tap the remaining essence until it gets mainly absorbed, then I just let my skin rest for a while, because now I know this stickiness goes away after a short while.

After that time has passed, no part of my skin feels oily nor dry, it all feels hydrated, moisturized, elastic, and relaxed. Since it is still a highly moisturizing mask, even though there’s no sebum on my T zone, I usually still apply a lighter skin care around that area.

This has become one of my favorite masks, especially because even though it’s summer it’s not too heavy, and in the winter it will be moist enough. I have a 10 pack and I’m intending on getting another one before this ends.
