[Review] Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask Sheet

Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask Sheet Review:

I’m afraid I am starting to like Taiwanese sheet masks better than Korean ones. Primarily because I’ve come to love L’ Herboflore and Naruko sheet mask –both brands never fail to deliver. While I love how chic L’ Herboflore masks are, I can’t really use them on a daily basis because they are quite pricey not to mention they aren’t available locally. Lucky for me, my skin seem to love anything Naruko so I try to exhaust every Naruko mask in the market! Next on my list is the quite popular Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask.

Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask quickly replenishes moisture and repairs damaged skin.

Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask Sheet Review:

I am very much used to snail-based products being scentless so I was quite surprised as I open Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask pack. The scent is of light floral that appeals artificial to me. It wasn’t overpowering at the beginning but it was quite dizzying when I was wearing the mask. Don’t mind me, I have really weird nose!

Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask Sheet Review

The essence used in this mask is REAL ESSENCE –it was even more viscous than some of the essences I have used in the past. It’s thick and really slimy! I have to say, Naruko never fails to surprise me because MAN, IT LITERALLY GIVES OFF THAT SNAIL-Y FEELS! It’s probably the algin that contributed to this texture. The essence was really thick it was a bit bubbly inside the packet. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said that it was slimy because the mask actually slipped my hand and fell on my table!

The fit of the mask is decent, same goes with the adherence. The mask was able to cover my full face, I really don’t have any complains except for the sliminess! Honestly, I was a really uncomfortable wearing it because it really feels like I slathered real snail goo on my face!

I wore the mask for about 20 minutes –I’m happy to report that there wasn’t any itchiness or stinging while I have this on my face. My face is so soft, moist and plump after using this mask. There wasn’t apparent brightening but I wasn’t really expecting for that.

Since my face felt dehydrated after having a facial treatment, I really appreciate how this mask was able to supply just enough hydration for my skin. Now I don’t really use a lot of snail sheet masks so I can’t say how awesome is this mask compared to others out in the market. But for what it’s worth, Naruko Snail Essence Intense Hydra Repair Mask fared better on my skin compared to Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Mask.

Overall, I like this product for it does what it claims –also, with flying colors! While I could say that I have used equally hydrating mask before, this one is special because it didn’t leave heavy or greasy feeling. It’s even worth mentioning that my face is actually pretty matte the when I woke up.

I love how this mask is very effective in quenching thirsty skin without actually overdoing it. I highly recommend this especially to people with really dry skin. Personally, I would keep one or two in my stash for days when I feel that my skin needs serious hydration.
