During puberty, I was lucky enough to have an acne-free face. I do, however, suffer from having a very dull skin. My face may be blemish free yet I feel that something is really wrong with it. A friend once suggested me to use astringent to remove the dead skin but I was really hesitant because I feel that it is way too harsh on skin. 10 years later and I still wear this dull-looking face; still have this negative perception towards peeling. To address this issue, I am in constant search for products that could alleviate my skin condition in a gentle yet effective way. From sugar scrubs to peeling gels –where some are effective and most are just meh; now I am giving this Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon a shot, because why not?
This product’s star ingredient is lemon which is known to be a powerful anti-oxidant –it claims to promote visibly clearer, smoother and brighter skin instantly.

Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon Review:
The gauze-peeling pad is housed in a plastic yet sturdy container where it is soaked in lemon essence. The container is not filled with essence; it is actually more of drippings. Once you open it, you can immediately smell the product! It is as if you have real lemonade right under your nose, so yummy!
I use it at night right after cleansing. After drying my face, I massage the lemon pad on my face and neck gently for two minutes, concentrated on problem areas which in my case are chin and forehead. I usually leave the essence on my skin for three minutes tops before rinsing it with water.
This pad may appear gentle and friendly but please use it with caution especially if you have really sensitive skin. Why, you may ask? I had so much fun using it the first time that I massaged it on my face for more than 10 minutes and let the essence sit on my face for another 10 minutes before rinsing it.
After rinsing I noticed that my face got instantly brighter and tighter but my chin area has gotten really red, probably irritated due to over-exfoliation.
I reckon it doesn’t matter if you use the gauze or cotton side, just don’t let the essence sit on your face for so long because it may cause irritation.
As above mentioned, my skin is occasionally dull– so exfoliating has been a vital part of my skincare routine and I have incorporated this product in my regimen. I only use this once a week and with great caution. With that said, you can tell that this product actually works! I find myself using this only when my skin gets really dull since it can give me a healthy glow in an instant.
Overall, I like this innovative product and would definitely repurchase. I do recommend this for people who want instant brightening and glow. I do honestly feel though that people with super sensitive skin should skip this or use this with high caution.
