Mamonde Moisturizing Flower Essence Mask Rose Review

[Review] Mamonde Moisturizing Flower Essence Mask | Rose

I first got Mamonde Moisturizing Flower Essence Mask as an extra for my purchases. As a VIP client in Aritaum you always get a sample or an extra for your purchases, even if the product you buy is on discount. It is a highly praised mask for moisturizing! So, I tried it. I liked it enough. And I decided to buy it again, a few months after, and write about it. Honestly, the mask felt different this time, even though it was the exact same mask, maybe I got pickier or I got to know masks better – so now that I can describe the mask, how do I actually feel about it.

Claims:

  • Rose essence- This mask contains the effects of roses that have been used since the old times to make women more beautiful and is a mask that makes the skin more moist.
  • Pure 10-cell fit – the mask sheet is made from the eucalyptus tree and even though it is thin it clings to the skin and transmits the essence onto it.
  • Fermented flower boosting effect – the flowers were naturally fermented and these ingredients get into the skin and are absorbed to make a healthy and strong skin.

Ingredients:

Water, Dipropylene glycol, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polysorbate 60, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Lactobacillus, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Tromethamine, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance

Volume:22ml

How to use:

  1. After properly cleansing your face, apply a toner to refine the skin texture.
  2. Then, apply the mask on your face, matching the eyes, mouth and nose properly, and flatten the mask as much as possible.
  3. Wait for 10 to 20 minutes.
  4. Once that time has passed, remove the mask and pat the remaining essence gently until it is fully absorbed into the skin.

My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, blemished, sensitive, and allergic.

Mamonde Moisturizing Flower Essence Mask Rose Review:

After cleansing and preparing my face I always get excited when it is time to try on a new mask. Or to use a flower mask, even if I have used it before. So, I prepared myself and now off to evaluate this product!

Opening the pack, honestly I feel a little disappointed. It seems a little empty of essence, which is not normal at all in Mamonde masks. You can see the pack is pretty dry inside.

I spread the mask open and I changed my thoughts a little! You can see here the mask is shining and, I am not sure if the picture captured it properly, there is even some essence ‘lumps’ on the mask. But I admit I feel disappointed there is no leftover essence in the pack for me to squeeze onto my arms as I usually do.

I was gonna swatch it on my arm for you guys to see, but my fingers are so soaked with essence and my hand is so dry I will just show you this instead! This was simply from holding the mask open for the photo!

Here I spread the essence onto my hand, and tried to make it absorb as much as possible. But there was so much that I had to keep spreading and spreading it and after this photo it still felt slightly wet.

I just placed the mask on my face and look at my fingers again. There is no stopping to the amount of essence on this sheet – so why wasn’t there any essence inside the pack? I’m confused and don’t know how to feel about this.

Checking the package again while I wait for my 20 minutes, and there is really nothing I can squeeze out of it for my body. So sad…

After the time has passed I can now describe everything properly. The scent is very strong of a rose water smell – it is quite similar to the Mamonde rose water skin care collection. But not in a perfume-y way, it is really the smell of rose water (if you ever used it then you know what I mean). It is very pleasant.

But in the middle of the wait I had to clean my chin because the mask was “drooling” onto my skin, it felt a little weird and was completely unexpected! Also, in the beginning the mask was sliding down very slowly, until it absorbed enough product for the mask to settle in one place.

The essence itself feels very wet but is not very liquid. The mask dries well on the skin (meaning the product absorbs well during those 20 minutes). After patting the essence my face felt very moist. However it feels a little greasy on my T zone.

I will definitely use it again if they give it to me. Although it felt a little greasy today I think it is because the weather has been less dry and because I used a hydrating toner (as opposed to a watery toner). So if the weather gets dry, or if I use a watery toner I think the oily part will be fixed. However I don’t want to buy it again since there is no guarantee that these measures will work.

But I must say, the dry parts of my skin never felt so hydrated! And the mask gives such a pretty glow to the skin – if I was going to make a fresh-skin photo shoot I would definitely use this mask on every part of skin that would show on camera.
