[REVIEW] SNP Animal Panda Whitening Mask

SNP Animal Panda Whitening Mask Review:

I have a very nice supermarket here next to my house. Other than its own line of cheap and good skincare products it also has a few famous branded mask sheets! I got my hands on this one, of course, because I really love pandas, and masks, and I like to cosplay. Perfect combination of everything!

Also, this panda mask has the advantage of being a whitening mask (which usually means brightening) and I have a lot of stains and spots to deal with. I am excited to try this as I keep seeing animal masks, and SNP products everywhere and never tried any. However just upon reading the ingredient list I got something to pay attention to – and not in a good way.

Claims:

Whitening mask to restore dull and rough skin with brightening energy delivering luminosity and softness. Brightening and skin tone management effect. Includes coconut water.

How to use:

After cleansing your face, tone the skin and apply the mask to the face evenly centering around the eyes and the mouth. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes, and peel the mask from the face. Pat gently to absorb any remaining essence into the skin.

My Skin Type:

Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic. Dry, sensitive and allergic lips. Very thin, dehydrated and oily eyelids.

It opened normally. Nothing to add here. The time to start is now!

As soon as I removed the mask I could see all the essence shining on it.

I can also see that just by removing it dripped everywhere! Argh! Cleaning, I hate cleaning! It was that from the photo, plus the table, the floor – like seriously SNP hold your essences!

But off to something nicer, the mask looks adorable. The quality of the mask sheet itself is no better than the Aritaum masks. So I can say it’s a thin mask, but it’s a little hard comparing to how thin it is!

I look un-amused but I swear I had fun. It’s just hard taking a photo of this type of stuff by yourself, it feels really silly to do it alone. But I walked around the house like this and it was fun!

The fit however, you can see if you pay attention, is a little horrible. It doesn’t stick in a lot of places, including between the eyebrows, it is so weird, never happened to me before. I wonder how the lady in the publicity photo managed the fit to be so perfect on her face.

I think the eye holes are small. But I think the reason they made them small is because of the skin tone and whitening function. If anyone has tried any of the other animal masks please let me know and tell me how you feel about the eye holes!

The essence is really liquid and it’s only sticky for a very short while between being almost absorbed and not absorbed at all. The scent is artificial and fresh, a mix of medicinal and plant-y.

Just like the Aritaum masks it dries really quickly on the nose and lips areas, so I have to remove it before the 20 minutes are up (closer to the 15 minute margin).

I am terribly sorry for the facial expression but that’s how I felt. The results are actually visible – my skin is indeed lively and brightened, but it is not hydrated at all! Obviously not moisturized either. There is a lot of essence left but I don’t even feel like using it if I’m going to be completely honest.

I feel like I wasted the time I spent masking, because regardless of the brightening function I will apply BB cream afterwards. Of course brightening and lively is good by itself, but there are masks in the same price range that do that and hydrate my skin.

Yes, it’s fun to be with other people and do animal masks, but that’s literally the only situation on which I would use this mask again.
