[Review] Nature Republic Rose Mousse Cleanser

Nature Republic Rose Mousse Cleanser Review

Nature Republic Rose Mousse Cleanser Review:

Of course I was attracted to this product from the start. Flower scent, mousse (sensitive skin here), peculiar and different product… And it’s a shameless copy of the Evita rose cleanser when it comes to design, but when it comes to making the shape of a rose there are actually many others. And, also of course, even though I love J-beauty (and all others), K-beauty is the one in my heart. And even though those other brands are relatively cheap (I’m sure online they end up being the same price as this one) since I’m in Korea this one is fairly cheaper for me!

With all honesty, I applied for at least 2 lucky draws and 1 contest for this foam, and I didn’t win. Luckily me not winning coincided with the end of a short no-buy I did so guess who got her hands on one!

[Review] Bifesta Brightening Cleansing Lotion

Bifesta Brightening Cleansing Lotion Review

Bifesta Brightening Cleansing Lotion Review:

I had once tried a deluxe sample of this without  knowing it was this product. It is one of the most famous cleansing waters around (although it’s called a lotion it’s really not very lotion-like). Without knowing I had already tried this once, I got my hands on the Hello Kitty version of it!

I wasn’t originally a big Hello Kitty fan but when I went to a place called Hello Kitty Island (think of it as a Hello Kitty museum) I started valuing her for all that she has done for women. I mean, I already liked her friend Cinnamoroll, so it’s not that I disliked the cat! I just didn’t care much about the cat itself.

Regardless, this Hello Kitty version is exclusive to Korea (for some reason) but the product inside is the classic Bifesta “blue bottle” brightening cleansing lotion of the same name (also known as bright up cleansing lotion).

[Review] Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam

Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam Review

Innisfree Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam Review:

An apple a day keeps the blemishes away! Did you know that the seeds of apples contain monounsaturated fatty acids which are immensely beneficial for the skin? It can stimulate collagen synthesis so that skin looks youthful, is rich in antioxidants, can rejuvenate the skin and is able to cleanse the skin from the inside to soothe acne!

I was suffering from a sudden bout of acne flareup but did not change my routine because I thought it was PMS. I received a travel sized bottle of the IF Apple Seed Foam and decided to use it during my 8 days in Taiwan and my skin started clearing up after the second night of using it. I was previously using The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Foaming Cleanser which, in retrospect, I was dumb enough to not have suspected was the culprit behind the redness. Urgh.

After I returned from Taiwan, I decided to purchase a bottle of the cleansing foam. Let’s check out how the product fared!

[Review] Shiseido Tsubaki Damage Care Conditioner

Tsubaki Damage Care Conditioner Review

Shiseido Tsubaki Damage Care Conditioner Review:

Having delved into Asian skincare/cosmetics for more than a year now, it was inevitable that I’d try my hand at Asian haircare as well. And surely enough, as I found myself running out of my usual Western-brand conditioner, I decided to pick up a conditioner from a brand I’d been eyeing a few weeks prior as it seemed a safe choice coming from a relatively reputable Japanese company.

[Review] Femmue Extraordinary Beauty Cleansing Balm

Femmue Extraordinary Beauty Cleansing Balm Review

Femmue Extraordinary Beauty Cleansing Balm Review:

I have been following (literally, on Instagram) since their very beginning. They appealed to me for the design, of course, but mainly for the brand concept. To put it short “flower everything and as natural as possible”. When their only showroom opened it was pouring rain but I still wanted to go pay them a visit (call me a fangirl). There I learned new things about this honey colored cleansing balm which I had already been using for some time (not a long time in a row, but a lot of times spread between other balm cleansers). Gladly I always take photos of every product when I open them for the first time, so I thought I should edit those photos and write this review for you – telling you everything I  learned about it!

[Review] Innisfree Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel

Innisfree Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel Review

Innisfree Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel Review:

In my initial search online for low pH second cleansers, I found this particular product from Innisfree to be recommended quite a few times, especially for those with sensitive skin. With reviews of mentioning how gentle and non-irritating it was (despite containing salicylic acid!), I definitely had high hopes for it. Thus, after having it on my wishlist for awhile, I finally caved. So the question is: did it live up to my lofty expectations?

[Review] Etude House AC Clean Up Daily Cleansing Foam

Etude House AC Clean Up Daily Cleansing Foam Review

Etude House AC Clean Up Daily Cleansing Foam Review:

The cleansing part of everyone’s skincare is one of the most flexible ones. Chances are, all of us are more likely to repurchase a certain serum or essence than a cleanser. That’s why you get to try a large variety of cleansers throughout your life. What does all that mean?

The more products you try the more chances there are that one of them will break you out. This cleanser is here to change that as it is non-comedogenic. That means that your skin won’t react in a bad way to it! This cleanser also contains Salicylic Acid, which is a great exfoliator for acne skin, glycerin, that works great as a moisturizer against acne and betaine, an amino acid that gives hydration to the skin.

All that and a couple of other people that I saw raving about this product, led me to purchasing it.
