[REVIEW] The Saem Healing Tea Garden Rooibos Tea Cleansing Foam

The Saem Healing Tea Garden Rooibos Tea Cleansing Foam Review:

I was introduced to this product by a friend of mine who claimed that it ”cleared her acne”. Now, I’m a simple person, I hear ”cleared” and ”acne” in the same sentence, I purchased. In the end, it’s just a cleanser! It can’t go that bad. On top of that, it contains Rooibos which is my favorite kind of tea and is also well known for its anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antimutagenic qualities aka, it can actually reduce irritation and help with clearing up your skin. It is a very affordable cleanser so I bought it right away, without expecting it to have miraculous abilities but just to be a nice cleanser that gets the job done without breaking me out.

Claims:

This cleanser, because it contains African rooibos tea, it can provide elasticity to tired skin with its soft, rich foam. This foam is able to cleanse and remove excess sebum without stripping the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

Volume: 150ml

How to use:

After removing your makeup if it’s your PM routine, or as the first step of your routine in your AM routine, squeeze a small amount from the tube, mix it with a few drops of water and rub it with your hands until it foams up, then gently massage it on your face for a few seconds; then, rinse your face with water until it’s completely gone.

My Skin Type: Acne prone; dry and oily combination.

The Saem Healing Tea Garden Rooibos Tea Cleansing Foam Review:

I’d like to start with the only thing that I didn’t like in this product. Usually we don’t say much about a cleanser’s container since they’re all pretty much the same (with a few exceptions), and I expected this one to be just like most of them.

I was horribly wrong. It might look like most of them but it definitely isn’t. You see, for the first month I used this, getting product out of the container was INCREDIBLY hard. To get half a pea’s worth of product I literally had to put one end of this cleanser under my foot and apply a lot of force to the middle, only for half a pea..

I’m not sure of the reason that happened but my guess is that maybe some air got inside and the product’s texture that was the closest to the source of the leak became harder. I don’t think this happens with all of the cleansers from this line, I hope it was just mine.

Once you get over that, and finally get to the actual product, it is pretty good at living up to its claims. While it didn’t clear my acne like it did for my friend, I did notice my skin appearing more clear; the parts of my face that have no acne, became more glowing and the parts where acne exists, I noticed my pores becoming smaller!

I’d say that slowly but surely, this cleanser makes my skin overall healthier. I also made my sister use this cleanser and I noticed her skin becoming glowing too.

Its texture is a bit thicker than most cleansers; it’s thicker than a cream, for sure, but once you dissolve it with water, it becomes very thin! It lathers up very fast and effectively, by using only a very small amount.

It doesn’t foam up a lot but as I said earlier, I only use half a pea of it and that is more than enough for my face to become clean. If you want a lot of foam you can use a bit more than that.

Now, you may wonder how your skin is after you use the product. While my face doesn’t feel squeaky clean after I use this cleanser, it does feel clean and also nourished; I believe that’s a bit better than cleaning my skin a bit too much.

The Saem Healing Tea Garden Rooibos Tea Cleansing Foam Review

This cleanser gives my face a cooling effect and always makes it feel hydrated, it also somehow feels like it evens my skin type in a way; the areas which are dry become normal and the areas that are oily also become normal!

Also, a very nice privilege that comes with this cleanser is, of course, the smell! It smells exactly like fresh rooibos which is amazing! The smell isn’t strong nor does it last but it feels refreshing.

Even though I didn’t have a great start with this product, it slowly showed me its real colors. This is a simple and affordable cleanser that gets the job done but with some cons. One of them is having a few more benefits than simply cleaning your face, like getting glowing skin! I’m not sure if I would rebuy this exact cleanser but that’s only because I want to try the other flavors too!
