[REVIEW] Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin

Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin Review

Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin Review:

Innisfree is one of those Korean brands that everyone trusts to have amazing products. Their philosophy is to create products using naturally derived ingredients from the island of Jeju. The brand is famous for their Green Tea and Orchid lines of products (both of which I have tried and love). So when they released their Ginger Honey line, I immediately wanted to get my hands on them.

The one that caught my eye the most is the Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin. For those who are not yet familiar with Korean skincare terminologies, an ampoule is a more concentrated version of a serum while skin is another term used for toner.

Being categorized as an ampoule skin, this product serves dual purpose. Unlike a few years ago when the 10-step Korean skincare routine was all the rage, a more simplified routine comprising of multi-purpose products is preferred nowadays. As someone who is obsessed with skincare, I was intrigued to see if this product can help me reduce the number of steps in my routine.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Innisfree My Concealer Wide Cover C13

Innisfree My Concealer Wide Cover C13 Review

Innisfree My Concealer Wide Cover C13 Review:

Not too long ago, Innisfree launched a new concealer collection ‘My Concealer’. The collection consist of cream and liquid concealer, along with 2 correctors for dark circles. A concealer is a must-have in my makeup collection as I have a really severe panda eyes so I always have to cover up those areas with a brightening concealer. The problem is because I have fair skin tone, it’s hard for me to find a concealer that light enough for me.

So far, a concealer that work really well on me from Korean brand is Etude House. I’ve tried other brands too of course but only the Big Cover Skin Fit from Etude can brighten my under eyes without looking too cakey or creasing.

Innisfree promoting this collection with the help of several famous Korean beauty influencers including Ssin-nim, who is my favorite! On Innisfree’s website, you can see a tutorial and description about each concealer and if you are a beginner, I think it would help so much. They also put a swatch photo there but if you have deep skin tone, you will have a hard time in finding your perfect shade as the shade range is too limited.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink

Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink Review

Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink Review:

I’m a fan of Missha’s skincare. It is the brand which introduced us to cult favorites like the Time Revolution the First Treatment Essence and the All Around Safe Block sunscreens. However, I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to their makeup products. In fact, this lip tint is the only makeup product I have from the brand.

I have been using lip tints for years now and based on my experience, the best ones definitely come from South Korea (which isn’t really hard to believe since they’re the one who started this trend). Anyway, I first saw this Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet on an online website and well…it was love at first sight! One look on its super adorable packaging and I knew I just had to have it (yes, I’m totally one of those people who buy things based on packaging without knowing much about the product).

There are five shades to choose from which includes a red (RD01), an orange (OR01), a brownish-pink (BR01), and two coral shades (CR01 and CR02). Since I already have a lot of reds and oranges in my collection, I decided to get the brownish-pink shade. It was priced at 260php (~$5) when I bought it which is a great bargain for such a pretty looking lip tint in my opinion.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Missha Color Filter Shadow Palette 06 Cony

Missha Color Filter Shadow Palette 06 Cony Review

Missha Color Filter Shadow Palette 06 Cony Review:

I fell in love with the colors presented on the website (at the time the Missha near me didn’t allow swatches so I could only trust the internet) and I knew I wanted this palette. I was divided between Cony and Brown since last time Missha had a Line friends collaboration I regretted not buying the Brown palette – and still regretted to this day. Because Brown reminds me of someone, completely unrelated to the product itself. This time I chose Cony (later I got Brown too) all because of the colors! Isn’t it adorable?

Not to mention the sustainable plastic-free packaging of the palette. That is a win in any book.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] A’Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig

A'Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig Review

A’Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig Review:

After having a great success with the Juicy Pang Tint, A’Pieu is back with another product in the collection, the Juicy Pang Mousse Tint. I’m a huge fan of the Juicy Pang Tint so I’m really excited when I saw advertisements for the Mousse Tint online. Basically it’s a velvet version of the older release so I’m guessing it would be more long lasting and doesn’t feel slippery on the lips.

If you never tried the original Juicy Pang Tint then you really need to try it! I think it’s one of the best lip tints I’ve ever tried and in Korea it’s also really popular and hyped by beauty influencers. Maybe because it’s unexpectedly popular (and not everyone loves the oily finish) A’Pieu decided to make it in a mousse version. Even though I love the original version, to be honest I’m not a biggest fan of glossy lips so when I saw they already have it on sale, I asked my friend who stay in Korea to get it for me immediately.

Recently A’Pieu got so popular internationally and now you can find their products easily on every online store that sell Korean makeup. Along with the affordable price (and good quality), I think it’s definitely one of the reasons why this lip tint was almost sold out when they first launched it.

[REVIEW] Village 11 Factory Snail Eye Cream

Village 11 Factory Snail Eye Cream Review

Village 11 Factory Snail Eye Cream Review:

I’d never heard of Village 11 Factory before but when this eye cream popped up on a shopping site, something about the packaging intrigued me. I tried to google the company, but had the name wrong (I had 11 first) and so I didn’t find anything about it. I was still curious about the eye cream and brand since it was one I didn’t know, so I kept looking into it. Despite not knowing anything about the brand, my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to give it a go. The fact that it contains 59% snail mucin, shea butter, niacinamide, adenosine, ferments and peptides did help me decide to buy it. It seems to have a lot of amazing sounding ingredients in it, and so of course I had to buy it to see how well it would work.

After I ordered it I found out that Village 11 Factory has a shop in Garosugil, and was started by a “mad” scientist, I guess that was the distinctive guy on the front of the snail eye cream packaging. To say that I was intrigued by this brand/company is something of an understatement, and so I had no regrets in ordering this eye cream, but whether it will live up to my expectations is another question entirely. I actually started to write this review almost a year ago! Why? Because I finished the first tube and I was unsure how I felt about it, but the second tube took so long to arrive that I didn’t use it for some months. And now it’s 2019, and I’ve almost finished the second tube of this eye cream, and well this review is long overdue.

[REVIEW] KEEP COOL Ocean Intensive Hydrating Mask

KEEP COOL Ocean Intensive Hydrating Mask Review

KEEP COOL Ocean Intensive Hydrating Mask Review:

KEEP COOL is a Korean brand under Samsung Medicos, Co. Ltd. that might not be popular among the world. Well, at least I haven’t heard this brand before, until I accidentally found its account on Instagram. KEEP COOL managed to catch my eyes since it has soft, pastel-dominated colors and safe ingredients claims. Actually this ‘KEEP COOL and Ocean’ is one of their three skincare lines beside ‘KEEP COOL and Shine’ and ‘KEEP COOL and Soothe’. While I personally would rather try the ‘KEEP COOL and Shine’ line due to its target (for dull skin and brightening result), I only had the chance to try ‘KEEP COOL and Ocean’ line (whose target is for dry skin and moisturizing result). Not that I’m complaining, though, since KEEP COOL isn’t sold widely outside South Korea and I realize I might not have any chances to try their products again in the future. So, let’s check the review out!

KEEP COOL and Ocean Mask accentuates to have ‘Super-Thin Second Skin Sheet’ and contain ‘Nature Happiness Recipe’ (Seawater, Spirulina, Chlorella, Glasswort, and Green Confertii from deep coastal water). Thus, you might wonder what’s behind the brand, why ‘KEEP COOL’? Turns out one notable highlight is to be the ‘cool keeper’, since KEEP COOL always adds Scutellaria Baicalensis, Lonicerae Flos, and Forsythia Fruit that are well-known to have natural fever reducing effect that cools down skin and maintain best skin condition.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] 16Brand R U 16 Lipstick Taste Chu Edition Pink Nougat

16Brand R U 16 Lipstick Taste Chu Edition Pink Nougat Review

16Brand R U 16 Lipstick Taste Chu Edition Pink Nougat Review:

After I tried the 16 Cheek Shot blush from 16Brand, I got intrigued and wanted to try other products from them. Their blusher is so-so but they really good in making eye-catching packaging so it’s one of the main reason why I bought the 16 Chu Lipstick.

If I’m not mistaken, they have several 16 Chu Lipstick series, the regular series, the Fruity series, and the Taste Chu series. I’m not sure if they already have new series or not but so far the latest one is the Fruity series and I can’t find it in my country yet. The one I got is the Taste Chu edition.

Even though they only make it in 4 shades (and no neutral shades at all) I found the packaging interesting and cute. If you know about their 16 Magazine eyeshadow, this lipstick is made with same theme. They even make it as a set as well. 16Brand also promote the lipstick really well, I can see pictures and swatch videos of it every time I open Instagram.

I think it has quite high popularity in Korea because I always see Korean beauty bloggers hyping and writing good reviews of this product. The price is quite high as well but still affordable. The price range is similar to Innisfree so I think a lot of people still can buy it and try it themselves.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Camellia Hair Color Cream 02 Deep Brown

Innisfree Camellia Hair Color Cream 02 Dark Brown Review

Innisfree Camellia Hair Color Cream 02 Deep Brown Review:

I know what you’re thinking: Why would anyone review hair dye when there is so much more in K-beauty? You are right, but there is a good reason! Non-aggressive hair dyes don’t come easy, and this one comes in small pouches that allow you to use it to retouch your roots without purchasing it whole, and wasting most of it. Now, if you color your hair at home I dare you tell me that doesn’t sound good.
