[REVIEW] The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask

The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask Review

The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask Review:

I’ll admit that I’ve been totally obsessed with wash off masks this year! And strangely, I’ve been wanting to try floral and rose related ones, because they just sound good? Earlier in the year, I was looking for a new wash off mask and I came across this one. There weren’t many reviews about it, but the fact that it said “daily” and also “moisturizing” made me want it. After all I want a wash off mask that can be used daily, and is also easy to wash off. Of course, it needs to be moisturizing as well!

You can say it was a purchase without any research or planning (I always seem to do this, oops!). I was simply looking for a basic wash off mask that I could use every day. One that wouldn’t cost a lot, or one that wouldn’t be too hard to wash off. Plus when I looked up the mask ingredients, it seemed to have so few ingredients which was another reason I decided to buy it. Read on to see if I regret my latest purchase, or if in the end I liked it.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Skinny Microcara Zero 02 Brown

Innisfree Skinny Microcara Zero 02 Brown Review

Innisfree Skinny Microcara Zero 02 Brown Review:

I’ve heard many great things about Innisfree’s Skinny Microcara, particularly on how well it works for those with short, sparse lashes, so when I saw this new release which claims to be an upgraded version of that mascara, I was intrigued. Of course, I do also prefer this version’s sleek packaging compared to its predecessor, so why not, right? Let’s see how it fares.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask

Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask Review

Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask Review:

Sheet mask, foot mask, hair mask, hand mask…in the world of k-beauty, there is literally a mask for every body part! But for this review, I’ll be writing about the lip sleeping mask, in particular, the Innisfree Lip Sleeping Mask with Green Tea (the other variant they have is Canola Oil Lip Sleeping Mask).

So what exactly is a lip sleeping mask? To me, it’s a thicker version of a lip balm that you apply before going to bed and wipe off the next morning which would leave you with super moisturized soft luscious lips. This product wasn’t a part of my routine up until a year ago when I first tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (probably considered as a Holy Grail product for most people). As someone with flaky dry lips who adores wearing lip tints daily, a lip sleeping mask has been a total game changer for me.

After I finished the sample size I have of the Laneige one, I contemplated if I’ll be willing to splurge on the full size. In the end, I decided to hunt for a cheaper alternative instead. After all, I’m someone who thrives on finding dupes for expensive products. Innisfree is a brand I’ve always trusted when it comes to skin care. I’m a fan of their Green Tea Seed line so when they launched a lip sleeping mask in the green tea variant, I decided to take my chances. I bought mine for 580php (~$11) which is still quite expensive for a lip product in my opinion.

This lip sleeping mask has been my go-to lip sleeping mask ever since I got it a few months ago and I must say, I’m pretty pleased with my purchase. Why? I’ll tell you in a bit, but before that, here are some details you might want to know about the product.

[REVIEW] FROM NATURE Bio System Cleansing Water

From Nature Bio System Cleansing Water Review

From Nature Bio System Cleansing Water Review:

FROM NATURE is a Korean skincare brands that manufacture products with life force of nature using natural plant ingredients. They emphasize to provide nutrition and moisture to skin and healthy beauty found in nature as well as nutrition, energy, and vitality of nature. It is manufactured under Daehwa C&F Co., Ltd that’s specialized in cosmetic distribution

To my ears, FROM NATURE is not that familiar. I’ve never come through this brand before until one day, I saw an online shop sold various products from FROM NATURE that consisted of cleansing water, cleansing oil, first essence, cream, eye cream, and so on. After rambling around Google, I found that the From Nature first essence was quite popular and the effect was almost as good as the popular Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence. The first essence caught my attention at first, but realizing that what I needed at that time was a cleansing product, I decided to click the ‘buy’ button on FROM NATURE Bio System Cleansing Water page.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] 16Brand Filter Shot Contour Peach

16Brand Filter Shot Contour Peach Review

16Brand Filter Shot Contour Peach Review:

Contour is always a must have product for me because I have a chubby face, so I need something to make my cheekbones and jaw look more defined. I never tried any Korean contour since they are too warm for my liking and I prefer a light cool brown or ashy brown as my contour shade. Warm tone shade is better to bronzing than contour especially if you have fair skin tone. Cool tone shades are perfect for contour as it can mimic shadow so it will look more natural and real.

16Brand always advertise their products on Instagram and by sponsoring beauty influencers so I’m not surprised to see my feed is full of their advertisements. When I saw an Instagram ad for this product I got so intrigued. On the ad, you can see the model only swipe the brush on the product several times then apply it on her nose and she will get a beautiful contoured nose and for me, who have a hard time contouring my nose, this kind of product (if it’s working) may be the one I need in my life.

For the Filter Shot release, 16Brand made 2 types, one for contouring and the other one for bronzing. Actually the bronzer one looks promising as well but I need the contour one more so maybe I’ll purchase the bronzer later.

[REVIEW] iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil Review

iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil Review:

If you are into k-beauty, then you might be familiar with double cleansing. This two-step cleansing technique consists of using an oil-based cleanser to get rid of dirt, makeup, and sunscreen residue before using a water-based cleanser. For someone who only wears light makeup (or no makeup at all) daily, I didn’t think I needed to do both to fully clean my face. Boy was I wrong! Ever since I added an oil-based cleanser as the first step in my skincare routine, I noticed a huge improvement. Particularly, I saw a decrease in the number of blackheads and whiteheads on my nose.

Once I realized the importance of double cleansing, I made it a goal to find the perfect oil-based cleanser for me. Most k-beauty enthusiasts prefer to use cleansing balms such as the Banila Co. Clean It Zero or the Heimish All Clean Balm. I’ve tried samples of both and I found them effective but also inconvenient. To me, the idea of using a product which comes in a tub (with a lid that you’d have to twist open and a spatula to scoop out the product), is just too bothersome so I decided to get an oil cleanser in liquid form instead.

The brand iUNIK was fairly new to me when I got this product. I had read great reviews about the brand from a lot of Instagram influencers so I got intrigued. So when a Shopee store carrying iUNIK products went on a 50% off sale for Black Friday last year, I immediately got it. If I remember correctly, I scored this for only $12 which is a decent price for a cleansing oil.

I’ve been using this product for about three months now so I think my opinion about this is now pretty solid. You what that means right? It’s time for a review! But before that, here are some things you might want to know…

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Holika Holika Nudrop Dewy Stick 01 Bare Coral

Holika Holika Nudrop Dewy Stick 01 Bare Coral Review

Holika Holika Nudrop Dewy Stick 01 Bare Coral Review:

The NuDrop Dewy Stick is one of the new products belong to the NuDrop Collection from Holika Holika. Based on what they describe, it’s a moisturizing lipstick that will give you comfort and supple effect. I rarely use a moisturizing lipstick since it fades too fast for my liking but because their claims are too good to be true, I decided to try it to see if the claims are true or not. I have tried the Nudrop cream blusher form the same collection and to be honest I’m not too fond of that product. It fades too fast so I’m hoping the lipstick will last longer on me.

Holika Holika made the lipstick in only 4 shades but all of the shades are in natural color with warm undertones. I’m a big fan of natural lip color thus i had a hard time in choosing only one shade. If you are a fan of bold or dark lip color, then this collection may not be for you. Actually 4 shades is not enough but since the purpose is for ‘no makeup’ makeup look, I think it’s understandable (though I’d be happy if they include more shades).

[REVIEW] NEOGENCE N3 Tea Tree Purifying Mask Sheet

NEOGENCE N3 Tea Tree Purifying Mask Sheet Review

NEOGENCE N3 Tea Tree Purifying Mask Sheet Review:

Neogence proclaims itself as one of the top derma skincare brands from Taiwan, which was founded by experts in dermatology, biotechnology, and pharmaceutics. Despite my unfamiliarity with this Neogence brand, I was quite interested to try since it states clearly about these features: MI/MCI free, heavy metals free, fragrance free, dye free, paraben free, and no animal testing.

Moreover, I found many positive reviews about this brand as well as the popularity. Looks like Neogence itself is quite popular among Taiwanese, since Taiwan is where this brand comes from. Then I decided to buy two variants at once; NEOGENCE N3 Marigold Soothing Mask and NEOGENCE N3 Tea Tree Purifying Mask.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Holika Holika Nudrop Lumi Cheek 01 Caramel Luster

Holika Holika Nudrop Lumi Cheek 01 Caramel Luster Review

Holika Holika Nudrop Lumi Cheek 01 Caramel Luster Review:

Holika Holika is finally back again with their latest collection! After their ’Sparkly’ collection (which I’m not too fond of), Holika Holika launched a new collection, ’NuDrop’ with dewy and natural makeup for its theme. If I’m not mistaken it’s for the Summer collection and it consists of lipsticks, cream blushers, nail polishes, eyeshadow palettes, and some brushes. The collection intrigues me so much since I’m a fan of dewy makeup look so I purchased the blusher and the lipstick.

The blusher I got is a cream blush with hint of glitters. Actually I’m not a huge fan of cream blusher but most of the time if I want to have a natural makeup look, a cream blusher is way better than a powder one because it can give you a luminous and natural flush look. I think maybe Holika Holika put a wet, creamy blusher in the collection instead of a cushion/liquid because it’s easier to control and looks more natural on the skin.

I’m surprised to see this release from Holika because usually they put more effort into making the packaging instead of the quality itself (I’m sorry Holika!) but lately, they started to make more simple yet mature packaging along with high-quality products. I hope this new blusher will work wonder on my oily combination skin so let’s see.
