[Review] 23 Years Old Acupair Petit Mask

23 Years Old Acupair Petit Mask Review:

So, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on 23 years old products since always. They always have such good reviews, appealing promises, all those nice things. I was able to get this mask at a very nice price so of course I took the chance!

This mask is a double mask, which gives a whole new meaning to double masking. If I use this two piece mask alone does it count as double masking? Or do I still have to use another mask? Regardless, this type of masks has been relatively popular lately in Korea, the masks that go around your jawline, so trying it is a must for an Asian Beauty fan.

The Acupair Petit Facial Mask is composed of a bottom elastic bump sheet that tightens your face lines and a top bamboo sheet that delivers moisture to the skin. This mask contains PPC used for breaking down fat, and pumpkin extract for reducing the swelling to make your face lines smooth and moist.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Sorbitol,, 1,2-hexanediol, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Fruit Extract, Magnolia Officinalis Bark Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Citrus Auratifolia (Lime) Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Bid-peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Adenosine, Arginine, Alcohol, Carbomer, Caffeine, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Phosphatidylcholine, Propylene Glycol, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Allantoin, Disodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin

Volume: 30ml

How to use:

  1. Cleanse and apply toner.
  2. Apply black top mask to the skin.
  3. Adjust around the eyes, nose, and mouth.
  4. Hang the bottom bump mask on both ears, placing the bump side to the skin.
  5. Relax for 10 to 20 minutes.
  6. It is more effective if you press the bumps of the bottom mask (massage).
  7. Remove the top and the bottom mask, and pat down the remaining essence until fully absorbed.

My Skin Type:

Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic. Dry, sensitive and allergic lips. Very thin, dehydrated and oily eyelids.

First of all I want to say I would like it more if it said petite instead of petit in the title because I’m a girl and I’m guessing it’s mainly girls who will use this mask. But that’s their choice.

The package opens really easily, in a very clean cut.

As I said, clean. You can see some of the essence there but it didn’t splatter nor got anywhere at all.

Also it seems that it was pretty airtight without almost any air inside the pouch until I separated this opening wide open.

You can see both masks carefully kept side by side. I will try to pull out the black mask first, without removing both of them from inside the pouch.

I was able to pull it out without removing both masks, but I almost tore it by accident, these fibers are really soft, and they get a little all over my hands. I guess it almost tore because of my own fault, I should have separated the masks before I pulled it!

I sort of feel like batgirl.

This is how both masks look when applied.

And here you can see their textures. The black one has small little hairs that make it very fluffy. The bottom one looks like a medical fabric with silicone balls.

To be truthful, the bottom mask really hurts my ears. My ears are hard on top, not really soft, so they feel pain a little easier than most. But you can see what the mask does to my ears! My ears feel hot (I’m guessing it’s the bloodrush) and during the application I keep having to apply relief to my poor little ears.

But other than the pain, the mask itself feels light on the skin and it feels quite refreshing (not temperature wise, I mean refreshing on the skin).

I must say I never felt this scent before. It smells nice and tasty, and fresh like a juice (not like a plant).

I don’t think you can see it on the photo, but there were lots of small little bamboo fibers during the arm test, because of the top mask.

It feels a little sticky right after absorption but the skin looks beautiful. If I wait a little then it stops feeling sticky, we’ll see how it feels on the skin.

I apologize for the overall mood of the photo. I have been studying for my exams and, as I’m sure you do too, I used masking to give me some relief. The advantage is that because I look this bad before the mask, the results show more clearly!

After using the mask for the recommended time my skin feels nice and refreshed. Of course my ears are relieved of the pressure, that was a really bad part of this mask for me. You can see that generally my skin is less swollen and “tighter”, except for the bags under my eyes – those need sleep.

I feel that this mask is effective, but that it’s because of the essence itself, and not because of the pressurizing V line mask. I also enjoyed the massage of the small silicone balls! The weird thing about that V line mask is that my face is quite small, so I don’t understand why the mask is this tight on me!! Makes no sense whatsoever.

I tried this mask another time but without putting it around my ears, because of the pain. It really reduces the swelling and makes the skin tighten – in a good way! My skin feels balanced, so this essence has a good balance of moisture and hydration!

To make a black on white review, I would rate it 3.5/5 if I use the V line mask on my ears, and a 4.5/5 if I don’t use it! Because the refreshing feeling and the skin lifting effect are quite pleasant. I will purchase again on discount, but I feel it’s a little expensive for its full price!
