3CE Lip Pigment in Shade Mellow Pink Review:
3 Concept Eyes or easily called 3CE is one of the most well-known makeup brands. I guess, mostly Korean makeup lovers agree with that. First, I know and fell in love with their fashion lines, Style Nanda, before knowing that they have makeup collections too. And a thing that makes me came across to their makeup lines, besides I love their fashion items, is the packaging. Oh, again. I lost my count how much times I bought makeup because of packaging, haha. But seriously, 3CE has elegant or something chic yet cool makeup packaging but still in Korean vibe. That’s why I can’t ignore them.
I didn’t have any special reason why I bought 3CE Lip Pigment. When I saw it on online shop, I just thought, “Oh, it’s 3CE! I must have it!” LOL. But since it’s a bit pricey, so I visited their website to ensure and know more about the product. After found that it’s basically a multi-functional product that can be used on lips, cheeks and eyes, so I confirmed to take it one in shade Mellow Pink.
I’ve tried a lot of lip products so far. From lipstick to lip lacquer to lip tint and so on (too many to be mentioned), but this is my first time trying lip pigment. So, how does it work? Keep reading the review, please!
– A multi-functional lip product that can also be used as cheek tint and eye shadow with soft and light creamy texture, color stays on forever!
– You could find your own color by using mixture of colors for more variety. The color possibilities are endless.

How to use:
As lip colors: use like your usual lip tint products. Since this shade (Mellow Pink) is very bright and soft, so I don’t suggest to use it as gradient lips. Full lips is better.
As blush and eyeshadow: add to powder products then apply smoothly and blend evenly.
My Lips Type: Normal with some fine lines, pigmented
3CE Lip Pigment in Shade Mellow Pink Review:
It comes in a cardboard box with professional yet chic design. See the 3CE logo on the front box? However, I always feel that the logo is simple but very cute, haha. Well, I have no idea with the informations written on the box since it’s in Korean and no English word. Fortunately, the official website has comprehensive informations about the product, including the ingredients. I found that this lip pigment is paraben free, yay!
The lip pigment itself comes in a black tube with a pink line on the bottom side. The pink line represents the color inside. It’s very informative when you have more than one lip pigment in your pouch, so you won’t be confused to pick the color you want to wear.
The tube is quite small with unique design. It is cute and easy to carry, even, in your pocket. Moreover, it has screw on the cap so it won’t get easily leaked. I think it is one of the cutest lip products I have.
Instead of coming with a brush, this product is having a thin nozzle. The hole of the nozzle is quite small, so it makes me easily control the product I squeeze out. But you will need a lip brush to apply the product on your lips because the nozzle doesn’t help at all. You could apply with fingertip too, but this way is messy.
At the first time I dispensed the product, it contained something like oil. I just thought that maybe because it’s a new product, so I continued squeezing again to take out more product.
The consistency of this lip pigment is thick and creamy. It is like your high coverage-matt foundation. When I tried to blend out the product, surprisingly it glides so smooth and easy. Then I suddenly realized what is the oil for. Yes, it makes the texture lighter and helps us to apply the product easier.
3CE Lip Pigment has 7 colors that you can mix each other to get your best new color. For example, if you want to get a peach color, you could mix Mellow Pink with Wild Yellow. You can create new shades by mixing different colors, just like painting.
Mellow Pink is a pure and bright pink color. The color is nice and cute when I swatched on my hand. As its thick and creamy texture, lip pigment gives us a high pigmented color payoff. Though the color I chose is very soft and light, I thought it could cover my natural lips color with one layer. Since it is 11 gram in weight (which is quite a lot), I guess I need long time to spend all of the content.
Unlike the swatch on my hand, when I apply 3CE Lip Pigment Mellow Pink on my lips, it becomes very pale pinkish. I can’t use this lip color with my bare face because I will look like Nicki Minaj when do that. I need to put full makeup with smookey eyes (or at least bold eyeliner) when apply this lip pigment to balance the look.
Once applied on lips, it’s kinda wet but becomes semi-matte finish after a few minutes. I guess it’s my own fault by choosing this light shade because like many other light color lip products, it accentuates my fine lines. I look like a sick person, LOL.
The texture is not too heavy on lips but it’s not that light too. I can feel that I’m wearing it even after hours application. Moreover, it’s a little bit dry on lips. So, if you have dry lips, you should wear extra lip balm before applying this product.
The staying power is quite good, for about 6 hours *T&C : don’t eat or drink anything* LOL. This product transfer very easy, even after it’s dry. I feel like this product doesn’t stick on my lips, but just sit on the surface of lips. That’s why it will leave a messy traces on your glass. When you want to retouch your lips, I suggest to erase the residue first then start to re-apply the lip pigment. It will give smoother result.
As mentioned that it could be use as an eyeshadow and blusher, so I tried it out. In short, it’s fail as an eyeshadow. I have oily eyelids that not compatible with creamy eyeshadow. Few times after applied it became flaky and sticky on my eyes. Horrible.
Last experiment. I used it as a blush and I LOVE the result! The pink color is very pretty on my cheeks. And if you know Igari Makeup (or you may know as Drunk or Hangover Makeup), this is perfect to get that look. The pink color is buildable and stay along the day. I think, it should change the name from Lip Pigment to Cheek Pigment, haha!
Afterall, I prefer to use this product as a blush because it looks too pale and dry on my lips and totally fail as an eyeshadow. If you are looking for a creamy blusher in pretty pink color, you may try this product. Though I don’t like its result as a lip color but I do enjoy use it on my cheeks.
