3CE Smoothing Lip Tint Have a Blast Review:
Finally 3 Concept Eyes is back with a new lip tint!
Since they released the Velvet tint (which is a huge hit and one of my favorite lip tint), I’m curious to see if they will make another one with better quality. About a month ago when I was browsing my favorite online shop, I’ve seen the new Smoothing Lip Tint and I was so excited I bought it right away.
I love how 3CE really showcases their lip tints, they really want to show the customers on how to make a makeup style to match the tint colors, so I always find these information are very helpful. You can also check on their website to see the full information about the tint along with the ingredient list.
They only have 5 shades and all of them are on the bold side. I think the shades are perfect for summer but as a fan of natural lip color, I hope they can make more shades in the future. If you love bold and bright lip color, then you will this collection fun and interesting.

3CE Smoothing Lip Tint Have a Blast Review:
When I saw the tint for the first time, it reminds me of their infamous Velvet Tint. They have similar packaging, both in height and style but the Smoothing Lip Tint has a ‘rubber matte’ feel to it and I prefer this one. The bottle has an exact color as the shade inside so it’s easy if you want to find the tint in certain color.
Just like every lip tints, it has a doe-foot applicator with a ‘pinched-style’ shape (I don’t know what it’s called). It picks up a good amount of product but because it has a rounded tip, it’s very hard for me to get a nice and precise application especially on my cupid’s bow area. If you have a small or thin lips, I think it can be an annoying problem for you.
From 5 shades, I got mine in Have a Blast. Based on 3CE’s description, Have a Blast is a feminine and elegant rosy shade. I don’t think that it is a rosy shade, it’s more like a cool-toned red but I didn’t expect to see that is has a very strong pink undertone. I thought it will have a warm red tone but in reality it has a cool tone pink in it. I don’t like lip tints with pink undertone as it doesn’t match my complexion so I’m a little bit disappointed.
Other than the undertone, I think the shade is very pretty but I think people with cool tone will like it more than I do. Because it’s not too light or too dark, I think this would be a perfect universal color. I do think it would look best on fair and deep skin tone though as those complexions can make the shade looks more vibrant.
The lip tint itself has a good pigmentation. On the swatch picture, I swiped only once but 3CE lip tints are known to have good pigmentation so I don’t think it’s a special thing. But even though it has good pigmentation, the formula is very hard to blend! Once I applied the tint, it sticks to my lips and I can’t blend it, I can’t even make a gradient lips using this tint. I have to use a concealer to create a gradient effect. If you are used to a creamy, blendable lip tint then I don’t think this one will suit your taste.
It has a matte finish but it’s not drying at all. Judging from the texture, I thought it will absorb the moisture out of my lips but thanks God it doesn’t. On the contrary, it makes my lips look smooth and it also blurs out the fine lines on my lips. It feels lightweight too so definitely a plus point from me.
It lasts pretty long on my lips! Even after I eat oily foods, it only fades a bit. It leaves the pink stain behind but the stain itself lasts more than I expected. It stayed on my lips for more than 4 hours and at the end of the day, the inner part of my lips start to show up but other than that, the stain still look intact.
I’m pretty impressed with how long it lasts and how it performs on my lips. The only two things I don’t like are it is hard to blend and has too strong pink undertone. If only it has a warmer tone and more blendable formula, I think I will give it 5 stars and put it on my favorite lip tints list. I would recommend this tint for everyone who has dry lips but want something matte (but only if you don’t mind the shade range or the undertones).
