[Review] A’pieu Fresh Mate Tea Tree Sleeping Mask

A’pieu Fresh Mate Tea Tree Sleeping Mask Review:

Sister brand of the well known brand Missha, A’pieu formulates makeup and skincare targeting young women in their twenties. The amazing prices, promising claims and a flash sale compelled me to try a few products from this brand.

This brand has a line of ‘fresh mate’ masks, the tea tree sleeping mask seemed perfect for my oily skin that blemishes when irritated. This mask contains hefty amounts of tea tree extract.Tea tree is an excellent antibacterial and antifungal ingredient that works amazingly for banishing acne and soothing skin. But does this sleeping mask work?

A’pieu Fresh Mate Tea Tree Sleeping Mask Review:

I love testing new skincare products but every once awhile my skin will not like something and I will start getting bumps or comedones on my face. I turn to this beauty whenever I start seeing tiny comedones or bumps or when the changing weather starts taking a toll on my skin.

The product is a clear gel that has a strong tea tree smell that did not irritate my sensitive nose however the smell dies down in a minute after applying the product.

The mask causes a warm tingling sensation that subsides within a few seconds of applying. The mask sinks in quickly and dries down to layer that is not sticky at all.

A'pieu Fresh Mate Tea Tree Sleeping Mask Review

This tea tree sleeping mask does not dry out the skin like a lot of acne treatments do however it does not provide my skin a lot of hydration either needless to say this does not give me that plumped and bouncy feeling a lot of sleeping masks impart.

There is a hefty amount of tea tree extract in this so if your skin does not agree with tea tree you might not like it. This pack banishes comedones and bumps and soothes irritated skin overnight for me however for treating fully grown pimples I have to use it for several days as a spot treatment in a row in conjunction with pimple patches.

For this to work as a wash off mask you need to apply it with a heavy hand. This sleeping pack will not do anything except calming down the skin a bit when used as a wash off mask.

Would I repurchase? Not really. I am more interested in trying out the Naruko tea tree face jelly (also reviewed on Cosmeperks) that is pretty similar but also good for balancing sebum production and hydrating. However this is great budget sleeping mask for blemish prone skin that will take care of comedones.
