[REVIEW+SWATCHES] A’PIEU Juicy Pang Tint Lips RD01 You Are My Apple

A’PIEU Juicy Pang Tint Lips RD01 You Are My Apple Review:

A’Pieu definitely is one of my favorite Korean beauty brand. They are so affordable, they have good quality, and they have various range of product with various shade selection as well. The only bad thing is, it is quite difficult to get their products in my country and most of the time when I found a seller that sell A’Pieu products, they tend to mark up the price.

Last month, my friend went to Korea so I didn’t hesitate and asked her to help me to get their products. I purchased about 3 new makeup products with tons of sheet masks (I’m a sheet masks hoarder, obviously) and one of them is their latest release, which is called Juicy Pang Tints. If I’m not mistaken, they already have a similar concept but in a blusher version. On their Instagram, seems like A’Pieu really want to hype this tint because they even make a lip color challenge as one of their strategy to promote it.

They have 8 shades available and most of the shades are reds, pinks, and corals along with some different shade such as purple and beige. I got mine in RD01 and I’m satisfied that the shade in real life is pretty much the same with what they advertise in their official website.

As usual from A’Pieu, the tint doesn’t come in a box or other packaging but it is sealed with a plastic seal so it is very secure. If you got the unsealed tint, please return to the seller because it means your tint is already opened (either by the manufacturer or by the seller).

The tint has colored packaging according to each shade inside and I really like it because it is easy to find an exact shade without having to see the shade’s number or name. It has a decent size but the packaging is made from matte plastic material and honestly I think it gives the tint more ‘expensive’ feeling.

It has a doe-foot applicator and the shape is a bit slanted, the purpose is so the applicator can hug your lips and distribute the product better and more even. I love this kind of applicator! I have thin lips so it works really well on me.

For this new tint, A’Pieu makes it in 8 different shades and I got the shade RD01. RD01 is a red shade with pink base, it’s a perfect shade if you want to try red color (or doesn’t dare to wear red lip color like I do). I think this shade looks so pretty and perfect for every skin tone since it has a neutral tone in it. This type of shade can brighten your overall complexion and makes your teeth look more white as well.

When I tried it, it’s not like a watery or gel type tint but it’s more like an oil tint because it has a very oily texture. It feels slippery on the lips but the pigmentation is very good! Usually an oil tint is more translucent and not as pigmented as a water tint but not with this one. One swipe is enough for my lips and because of the oily finish, it feels so smooth and moisturizing at the same time.

Since it has oily finish, it’s more moisturizing when compared to my other tints. The oil not only makes my lips feels moisturized but it makes my lips look more plump and healthy. I have a small lips so a plumping effect is really appreciated.

It does feel a bit slippery but it doesn’t feel wet or sticky like a gloss would but there’s something I noticed about this tint. It has a good pigmentation and easy to apply but for some reason the pigmentation only shows on the inner part of my lips and no matter how many times I apply it on the outer part of my lips, it only shows a hint of pink and not the actual color. Maybe it’s because of the oil? I’m not sure either. But if you love gradient lips, you will love this for sure because there’s no need to blend the color anymore.

I really like this tint! Not only because of the moisturizing effect, it also last pretty well on my lips even after eating and drinking. The oil will be gone right after I eat or drink something but the color doesn’t, it lasts for about 3 to 4 hours and it will leave a pink stain that will stay all day on my lips.

If I want to re-apply the tint, there’s no need to remove the stain first or wear a lip balm because no matter what my lips condition is, the newly applied tint will look perfect and flawless thanks to the oil. To remove it, I used a good cleansing water and it removes the stain pretty well.

With all those good qualities and affordable price, I think this tint will be my favorite lip tint from A’Pieu. I really recommend it for you to try!
