New 2017 Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence Review

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence was purchased by Cosmeperks.

This is another mouthful-name product that I am going to review. The name is basically a combination of its three key ingredients – Propolis, Royal Jelly and Honey.

[REVIEW] The Face Shop The Solution Moisturizing Face Mask

The Face Shop The Solution Moisturizing Face Mask Review

The Face Shop The Solution Moisturizing Face Mask Review:

The myriad of sheet masks available makes me see stars each time. Even within the same brand, there are many different types to choose from. I got The Solution Moisturising Face Mask at the same shopping trip where I purchased the Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturising Cream because it was having a one plus one promotion as well.

So I bought 10 pieces of the masks at the price for 5, thinking I can gift this to someone else should it not suit me and feel lesser of a pinch. Another reason I bought the masks was also because I was into trying out skincare with ceramide which claims to repair skin barrier. Besides the Moisturising Mask, there are another 9 different formulation in this series to cater to various needs.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Soybean Energy Neck Cream

Innisfree Soybean Energy Neck Cream Review

Innisfree Soybean Energy Neck Cream Review:

We constantly strive to care for our face because this is what people notice at first sight. But we overlook its nearest neighbor, the neck. Other than the crow feet and wrinkles on the face, another tell-tale sign of one’s age is neck. The skin on the neck will also lose its elasticity over time and that is when vertical ridges (more pronounced when you speak) or horizontal neck lines make their appearances. And in today’s world of smart gadgets, where we often lower our heads gazing at our phones and tablets, wrinkled necks seem inescapable.

Skin on the face and neck differ, in that the latter has less hair follicles and oil glands. It is also less likely to be sensitive as compared to the face. Most of the time, people do not splurge on neck creams separately. They either overlook the application of skincare products on their neck, or they use the same face cream on it. I am one of these “most people”. I do not really give neck care much thoughts despite being aware that it does need attention too. So when I chanced upon the Innisfree Soybean Energy Neck Cream, which I feel is at a very affordable price for such a big jar, I decided to make a purchase to ease the guilt.

[REVIEW] Innisfree My Hair Recipe Repairing Conditioner

Innisfree My Hair Recipe Repairing Conditioner Review

Innisfree My Hair Recipe Repairing Conditioner Review:

Other than my problematic skin, another thing that irks me is my hair. Healthy tresses are no less important than good skin. Unfortunately, by my own doing, my hair is rather damaged after many years of rebonding, perming and colouring.  It has not helped that I had not done much aftercare to my hair after every salon procedures in the past. You know this thing about being young and thinking you are invincible? Well, so now I face the woes of lack luster hair.

Sometime this year, Innisfree launched a new line of haircare called My Hair Recipe. There are a few series for this line – Moisturizing (for dry hair), Repairing (for damaged hair), Colour Care (for coloured hair) and Curl Up (for wavy hair). So I thought I will give it a try.

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream

The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream Review

The Face Shop Yehwadam Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream Review:

I like buying products from Korean brands because they are generous with samples. It is a smart marketing strategy, because this helps to introduce the products to potential customers and increases the chances of customers buying full-size products later on.

I was browsing the shelves at The Face Shop one day, contemplating whether to get a full-size moisturizer after having tried out some sample sachets some time back. As usual, the ever-friendly sales staff came over and asked if I needed help. Noting my skin concern, she sailed me to another line – Yehwadam instead of the original one I was looking at. There are two types under the Yehwadam line – Revitalizing Moisturising (blue in colour) and Revitalizing (pink in colour). She recommended the former to me, which is more suited for oily skin while still addressing anti-aging needs. The highlight of course is the one plus one promotion that was going on. It is hard to resist a one plus one offer, isn’t it? And so I succumbed to her sales pitch. But I have no regrets for this.

[REVIEW] Nature Republic Beauty Tool Double Eyelid Glue

Nature Republic Beauty Tool Double Eyelid Glue Review

Nature Republic Beauty Tool Double Eyelid Glue Review:

Double eyelids seem to be an obsession, especially in some Asian countries. This is understandable since double eyelids do make the eyes look bigger and less tired, thus more attractive. You can see the Japanese anime always feature doe-eyed characters. And I would say it is easier to do makeup on double eyelids.

[REVIEW] J.ONE Jelly Pack

J.one Jelly Pack Review

J.one Jelly Pack Review:

I kept seeing this J.one jelly pack coming up in K-beauty reviews, but it never quite caught my attention sufficiently to read the reviews because of its very plain packaging. Neither do the name of “jelly pack” help because I have no idea what it is for.

Then I saw it on the highly popular Korean beauty show “Get it Beauty”. The J.one jelly pack is developed by a popular Korean actress Ha Ji-won, to meet the needs of busy on-the-good women like her. I was enticed by its multi-functions claim of being hydrating, pore-smoothing and especially the tagline used by Ha Ji-won is that it is a “corset for your face” ie. firming and lifting. In addition, the jelly pack is free of ingredients that are generally frowned upon – parabens, mineral oils, sulfates and phthalates. Doesn’t that sounds just like what I need for my complicated skin type?

Etude House Big Cover Concealer Kit Review:

My eyes had been a saving grace to my very problematic skin and I hardly paid attention to eye products. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Fine lines and dark circles have announced their presence in recent years. So while I am still trying to find a competent skincare product for these, my best bet for now would be on concealer.
But just as with foundation, there is always the challenge of finding the correct shade to provide the needed coverage. I was therefore delighted when I came across the Etude House Big Cover Concealer Kit, thinking it should save me the hassle of having to search for the right one. So let’s see if I have enjoyed playing make-up with this Concealer Kit.
