[REVIEW] My Beauty Diary Alps Edelweiss Ultra Repairing Mask

My Beauty Diary Alps Edelweiss Ultra Repairing Mask Review:

I am such an avid fan of My Beauty Diary. No words can describe how much I adore this brand. I was out in the sweltering heat for the entire day in sunny Singapore and was afraid of the damage it would do to my skin. Although I applied sunblock (SPF50+ PA+++), I did not want to take any chances. I decided to use this mask to hopefully neutralise the damage to my sun-soaked skin.

I got this in a box of 8 at my local Guardian because I was attracted to its romantic packaging and its pastel purple tones. It looks so sweet and when it comes to sheet masks, the more the merrier!

[REVIEW] Tsaio Witch Hazel Oil Control Mask

[REVIEW] Tsaio Witch Hazel Oil Control Mask

Tsaio Witch Hazel Oil Control Mask Review:

I am an advocate for natural acne and skincare treatment. I did not realise how wonderful witch hazel was until I started using My Beauty Diary’s Witch Hazel Oil Control Essence Mask. Pimply me was so excited that I decided to do some research on the benefits of witch hazel. Due to its astringent properties, it is one of the most effective natural treatment for acne, and can even fight against skin cancer. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help protects against free radical damage from stress, poor diet and pollution. Is witch hazel awesome or what?!

I got this Tsaio sheet mask last Christmas and have kept it in my mask stash because I was always buying new masks to try. This gem was hidden under dust and it is time for it to shine.

[Review] Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Tea Tree Mask

[Review] Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Tea Tree Mask

Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Tea Tree Mask Review:

Tea tree is something I would definitely recommend to every pimply girl out there. I swear by tea tree sheet masks, and the Naruko Tea Tree Shine Control & Blemish Clear Mask is still the best amongst all the others I’ve tried. While tea tree oil may be too harsh on the skin, tea tree sheet masks are a good way to deliver adequate moisture while soothing those vengeful pimples.

Etude House sheet masks were previously featuring the ‘I Need You’ series, which I thought looked quite amateur. I tried the green tea one and was disappointed. Thus I decided that my resources should be channelled to better formulas out there. Recently, I stumbled upon the ‘0.2mm Therapy Air’ series, which looks promising. I feel that the first line of marketing for sheet masks is usually their visual representation, and Etude House has finally gotten it right. I bought a few to try. Let’s see if this tea tree sheet mask will be able to avenge my skin and get rid of those annoying pimples.

[Review] My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask Sheet

My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask Sheet Review:

I love apples. I love its smell as well as its flavour, and my dog goes cray for it too – not forgetting the fact that apples have tons of nutritional value and is good for the skin as well! When I saw this box of My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol sheet masks selling at my local Guardian, I just had to get my grubby hands on it!

I have mentioned the benefits of apples in one of my previous reviews, so I shan’t touch on it here. Nevertheless, I can’t emphasize enough how awesome apple is, both for the body and for the skin. I am also a fan of natural flavours in beauty products such as Jeju flowers, green tea, cactus, and ginseng, so I was hoping this would give my skin great benefits as well!

[Review] New 2017 Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Blue Hydrating

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Blue Hydrating was purchased by Cosmeperks.

Multi-masking seems to be the trend nowadays, as experts claim that ‘one mask can’t heal all’. Hence it is important to understand what different areas of your skin require and to target these different needs. Tailoring your mask application is a good opportunity to treat various skin concerns simultaneously.

Recently, Innisfree jumped on the multi-masking bandwagon and introduced 7 types of colour clay masks to address specific skin needs such as brightening, hydration and rejuvenation, while controlling production of sebum. Hydration is necessary regardless of your skin type, in order to achieve a healthy complexion. Let’s check out how Innisfree’s hydrating clay mask fared!

[Review] My Scheming Bamboo Charcoal + Volcano Mud Extract Pore Minimizing Mask

My Scheming Bamboo Charcoal + Volcano Mud Extract Pore Minimizing Mask Sheet Review:

My Scheming is a Taiwanese sheet mask brand that is endorsed by Taiwanese singer/ actress Ella Chen. I am a fan of Ella because of her quirky antics and when I saw this in Taiwan, I was so excited that I bought 4 different flavours! I also bought 8 of their loose flavours such as the barley, caviar, and milk brightening masks. Call me superficial but I am attracted to pretty and cute stuff hehe. I mean, look at that adorable packaging! I have heard good things about My Scheming so I was very excited to try this out!

[Review] Innisfree It’s Real Tea Tree Squeeze Mask Sheet

Innisfree It’s Real Tea Tree Squeeze Mask Review:

Innisfree’s approach to skincare focuses on natural ingredients. Furthermore, I am attracted by its CSR efforts in building a more sustainable environment and thus have started to purchase more of their products in recent years. I was out the night before and only slept at 4am, culminating in a few breakouts the next day (beauty sleep is real, y’all!). I decided to try Innisfree’s tea tree mask hoping that it’ll tame those wild pimples which I have decided to name Kim, Kendall and Kylie.

Tea tree is known to have anti-bacterial compounds to reduce acne inflammation and unblock sebaceous glands. It can help in disinfecting the pores as well – and the benefits do not stop there. It helps to lighten scars as well! Is tea tree amazing or what?! Let’s check out how this mask fared!

Naruko NRK Collagen Booster Firming Mask Review:

I’ve only heard about Naruko a few months ago, but it seems to be quite a popular brand and can be found at any local Watsons or Guardians outlet in Singapore and Malaysia. As previously mentioned, I am a huge fan of the Taiwanese sheet mask brand My Beauty Diary. It seems like Naruko originates from Taiwan as well and I wanted to see how it would fare as compared to MBD. Not to mention, that packaging is so adorable and pretty! Hence, I bought a box of Naruko’s collagen masks as well as other loose flavours such as tea tree, rose and narcissus.

Collagen is essential for healthy and elastic skin. It can also minimise scars and improve the skin tone. Let’s check out how this one fared

[Review] Etude House Pink Vital Water Eye Serum

Etude House Pink Vital Water Eye Serum Review:

Cute stuff and free samples make me happy. Have you ever been in an Etude House store? Their store is always pink and cutesy and has a princess theme. I had been thinking about getting an eye cream for a while now because I have serious dark eye rings. No matter how much I sleep, my eye rings still look like a panda’s and thus I decided I should really do something about it before I turn into a full-fledged panda.

Etude House may not have the most awesome products but I like it because they tend to give out free samples such as toners and sheet masks (teehee). I decided to give their Pink Vital Water Eye Serum a try because it looked promising and because it comes in my favourite colour!
