[REVIEW] Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily Acne-prone Skin

[REVIEW] Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily Acne-prone Skin

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily Acne-prone Skin Review:

When something is causing a hype, we readily jump into the bandwagon and that’s how it’s been for who knows how long. Basically, we take the words of other people on something. If the majority claims that a product is HG-worthy, then it must be. If everybody’s yapping about something, you instantly wanna try it too! Sadly for skincare, it’s never predictable. What may be astounding to others may not make sense to you. Sometimes you want to agree with the crowd but you just can’t because you don’t get the hype at all.

If there’s one thing though, that I entirely embrace and truly thank for, aside from wearing sunscreen, is the advice of double cleansing. I am never without double cleansing since I realize how good it is for the skin! Needless to say, I always have something for double cleansing and recently, I got Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water because I’ve been seeing it on other people’s feed.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Review:

I have always wanted to incorporate acid into my skincare routine but I always hesitate because I fear that it may end up causing skin damage instead of improving it. There are way too many precautions when using it that I thought to myself, is it even worth the plunge? But then, my other self won’t stop nagging: you wouldn’t know unless you try!

It goes without telling that in the end, my guts won, otherwise, I wouldn’t be here talking about acid. Truth be told, The Ordinary Lactic Acid is not the first active that I have tried, it’s my second actually. I bought this because I was looking for a milder alternative since I am a little overwhelmed by its bold sister –The Ordinary AHA 30%  BHA 2% Peeling Solution but hey, that’s another story!

[REVIEW] The Saem Eco Soul Kiss Button Lips 02 Perfect PT

The Saem Eco Soul Kiss Button Lips 02 Perfect PT Review:

The Saem is a Korean brand that falls on the affordable range when it comes to skincare and makeup alike. While I am aware of the brand’s existence and actually own a product from them (a cleansing water), I am not entirely sure what to expect from this brand’s makeup line.

Recently, however, I was gifted by a friend a lip product from The Saem and it is called The Saem Eco Soul Kiss Button Lips 02. I believe they have released this push-type lip product in matte finish too, but the one that I own has a creamy/sheer type of finish. Let’s see how I find my first The Saem makeup product!

[REVIEW] Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam

[REVIEW] Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam

Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam Review:

I was very much excited for September to come because it’s my birthday month, only to be left distressed. It had been an emotionally challenging month, to say the least. Unfortunately for me, all the stress, sleepless nights and binge eating have taken its toll and it shows all over my face. I had a massive breakout (yay for the breakout of the year) and it’s starting to sadden me. Instinctively, I went on to a skincare diet. I discontinued using acids and putting new stuff on my face to avoid (acne) triggers and just let my skin breathe.

I focused on hydration/moisturization to help my skin heal but even with outmost effort to battle acne, it seems that I am losing. Another day, another acne; that’s how it’s been for weeks and I was starting to get overly sad about it. I looked for a potent ingredient that fights acne and tee tree caught my attention.

Since my skin reacted well with Naruko mask (green) when I last broke out, I considered getting my hands on anything tea tree. And since I am almost done with my Cosrx Low pH cleanser (I’m not entirely impressed, plus I hate the smell), I thought I should replace it with another tea tree cleanser and that’s how I ended buying Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam!

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review:

The Ordinary is a relatively new brand that has been creating huge buzz in terms of beauty. If you must know, it is not an Asian brand but is actually Canadian. It is from the Deciem aka The Abnormal Beauty Company. They are known to produce effective products at a very friendly price range.

I don’t know about you but cheap yet effective gets me, every single time. I bought few stuff from the Ordinary and one of which is the Niacinamide 10% + Zince 1% since I realize that I do not own any sebum controlling product apart from oil blotting paper and powder. I’m sure a lot of people is curious about this one, after all, it is one of the products I always get inquiries about!

[REVIEW] Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation | 180

[REVIEW] Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation | 180

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation 180 Review:

Before I got into skincare, I am obsessed with makeup foundation. It’s been a staple since I was in college. While I am not very fond of the pressed foundations, I totally dig them in liquid or crème form. Most of them have decent coverage and longevity that you can depend on! As I age, however, I went for convenience and comfortability that I opt to wear something a lot lighter on the face. Since I’ve discovered cushion foundations, I’ve never been really interested in western foundations… at least before the birth of Fenty Beauty.

Oh nanaWhat’s my name? I’m sure everybody knows that Fenty Beauty is created by Rihanna. But in case you are wondering why she called this line Fenty Beauty and not Riri or something, it is because her real name is actually Robyn Rihanna Fenty. As the name suggests, this product claims to have outstanding coverage but what got me interested is their apparently light-as-air texture! Enough with the blabber and let’s see if this product is worth ALL THE HYPE.

[REVIEW] A’pieu Color Lip Stain Matte Fluid in shade CR02 Dried Up

A’pieu Color Lip Stain Matte Fluid in shade CR02 Dried Up Review:

I am starting to love Korean lip products over western brands for I find their matte formula more forgiving. I cannot question their quality because they usually feel light on the lips and crazy long lasting! My only gripe with Korean lip products is that they have very narrow color selection;

I’ve noticed that they are mostly pink, red, orange, or anything in between these hues so I was pretty ecstatic when I found what A’pieu released for their spring color for the Color Lip Stain Matte Fluid series! I’ve been eyeing this product for ages but I feel that the available shades are pretty repetitive. So when I saw good variety, I immediately bought A’pieu Color Lip Stain Matte Fluid in shade CR02 Dried Up.

[REVIEW] Missha Signature Essence Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ | #21 Light Beige

Missha Signature Essence Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ | #21 Light Beige Review:

Before cushion foundation, I was crazy about blemish balms or simply, bb creams. They provide decent coverage without that suffocating feeling on skin! I have tried a lot then but I always come back to Missha’s M Perfect Cover BB Cream, it was a little gray on me but it was one of the best back then!

Instinctively, I have to get Missha cushion foundations out in the market. I already own the M Magic one, and it’s a really good product. In fact, I have repurchased it thrice already. But when I found about their Missha Signature Essence Cushion I just have to try it!

Mizon Enjoy Vital-Up Time Nourishing Avocado Mask Review:

Mizon is a Korean beauty brand that is widely known for their snail recovery gel cream. That product is highly praised by many people so I jumped on the bandwagon and got myself a tube. I wasn’t impressed at all. Since that experience, Mizon has never again caught my attention. Well, at least before the release of their sheet masks. I have bought all the variants available from a local seller and the first one I tried is the avocado variant which is a nourishing mask.
