BANILA Co Covericious Power Fit Foundation 19 Cream Review:
I’ve been wanting to try this foundation for a really long time. If I’m not mistaken, this was released back in March or April this year but at that time I wasn’t aware of the foundation, not until I saw the reviews a month ago. I only saw some (I think it was less than 5) reviews about it in English and it’s surprising because BANILA Co is a pretty famous Korean beauty brand internationally, but there are tons of videos and blogs talking about it in Korean because it was so hyped and popular there.
BANILA CO is one of the ‘up-there’ road shop Korean brands, means they have more expensive price compared to other road shop brands like Etude, Skinfood, The Saem etc yet doesn’t belong to the luxurious brands either. In my country BANILA CO is pretty expensive so the only way I can afford the foundation is by buying it directly from Korea to get more affordable price.
BANILA CO advertised it as a ‘full coverage’ foundation with lightweight feeling and stay up to 36 hours of wearing with Hydrolyzed Collagen that will help with skin elasticity. After I read the claim I was so intrigued! As a woman who almost being 30, any product containing collagen is a must try so let’s see if the foundation will do wonders on my skin or not.
+ Lightweight, Cover to Fit Technology gives adherence for up to 36 hours
+ SPF 45 PA++ for Sun Protection
+ Medium, buildable, clump-free coverage with its microcovericious particles
+ Contains hydrolyzed collagen that regenerates damaged skin, increases its elasticity and keeps it moisturized even while wearing makeup

BANILA Co Covericious Power Fit Foundation 19 Cream Review:
First of all, I know half of this foundation price is going to the packaging. It has a very beautiful pinkish beige glass bottle along with a pump inside which works perfectly well in pumping out the foundation in a good amount. The bottle has a nice weight and to be honest, I find this bottle looks more luxurious than the luxurious brands themselves.
The Covericious Power Fit Foundation is available in 5 shades but they added one additional darker shade. The shades range is not bad for a Korean brand but I hope in the future they will add more shades in various undertones for their international customers.
I got the lightest shade in 19 Cream. Based on the website, 19 Cream is supposed to be the pink version of the second lightest shade, which is 21 Vanilla but when I swatch it on my hand the shade is not pink enough. It’s more on the neutral side and since I have warm-neutral undertone, the shade matches me perfectly. If you use shade 17 or 19 in Korean color numbering, then this shade will match you as well.
Usually a full coverage foundation has a thick texture but not with this one. It has a very runny texture like a dewy and light foundation would. I thought the coverage won’t be as full as what they claim but when I apply it on my face, I’m impressed to see that it could even cover my severe acne scars!
You can see on the picture that I have several scars with redness caused by acne and after I apply the foundation, it covers the redness really well. You can also see that I have big pores but the foundation sits nicely on that area and doesn’t clog my pores. In the picture I didn’t wear any primer so you can see how well it sits on my bare skin.
The foundation has satin finish on my oily skin without any primer so if you love dewy finish, you can use a glow base or moisturizing primer underneath. I tried using a brush and a damp sponge to apply the foundation but both tools unexpectedly have similar results.
Both tools doesn’t affect the coverage and the finish so I think it’s up to your personal preference to use which tool to apply the foundation but I would suggest you to use the sponge instead because with a brush, it can leave some brush streak behind especially if you use a flat foundation brush.
It feels lightweight on my skin, as if I didn’t wear any foundation and it stays all day! Most of the time foundation start to get cakey on my nose and lip area but when I check my makeup, I’m pleasantly surprised to see that on those areas, the foundation looks as smooth as ever.
It does get a bit oily on my T-zone but with some dabs of my favorite oil clear pact, it will look smooth and fresh again. The foundation doesn’t get cakey at all and even after I wear it for 12 hours, I find my face still look perfectly fine! It’s as if the foundation sinks into my skin and won’t budge until I remove it.
Because the foundation sticks into the skin so well, it needs effort to remove it completely. I use a cleansing wipes to remove the first layer of the foundation then use a micellar water to remove the second layer. Not just that, I also use a cleansing balm from BANILA CO, the Clean Zero one (it works really well in removing makeup residue!) to make sure that I have nothing left on my skin.
For the final step, I wash my face with a cleansing foam. Usually I only did the 2 first steps but with this foundation, I need to use twice more steps to remove it completely. Maybe it’s just me, but if I don’t clean my face thoroughly, I will wake up with a new acne so I always try to make sure that my face is free from any makeup product before I go to sleep.
It is expensive but for the quality I get, I don’t think I mind it. In fact, maybe I will get another bottle if I ran out of this one. I really suggest everyone to try this foundation because it holds pretty well against sebum and it doesn’t emphasize any of my dry patches. It also covers my imperfection really well and won’t clog pores. I would give this foundation 5 out of 5!
