[REVIEW] Bbia Last Lipstick Velvet Matte 04 Intelligent

Bbia Last Lipstick Velvet Matte 04 Intelligent Review:

As soon as Bbia came out with these lipsticks I got all 5 of the set. I love matte lips, I love red, and they are cheap and seemed decent quality. And I wanted to present my mother with all the colors and let her choose what she liked the most. Sort of like the Avon Ladies.

So I presented her the five of them and she chose what she liked and I kept the rest. To be honest, I wasn’t “feeling” this color – it’s more n*de once applied than red. Like a bronzer makes your skin shine a little darker, that’s what this lipstick seemed to do. But as I used it, my opinion changed.

Claims:

Texture soft like cashmere. Light as if you didn’t apply anything at all. A perfect color with a single application and a long wear ability.

Ingredients:

Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Polyethylene, Diisostearyl Maleate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Butyleneglycol Dicaprylate / Dicaprate, Vinyl Dimethicone / Methicillosilsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Dimethicone / Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Green Wax / Jojoba / Sunflower Seed Wax / Polyglyceryl-3 Ester, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Sunflower Seed Oil, Ethylene / Propylene Copolymers, Ozokerite, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Silica Dimethysilylate, Candelilla Wax, Caprylic / Capric / Myristic / Stearic Triglyceride, Tocopheryl Acetate, Baiichi Tea, Bark Peel Oil, Orange Oil, Olive Oil, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Silk Amino Acid, Shea Butter, Fragrance, Aloe Vera Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Purified Water, 1,2-hexanediol, Titanium Dioxide, Red No. 201, Yellow No. 4, Red No. 202, Yellow No. 5, Black Iron Oxide, Red No. 104 (1), Red Iron Oxide, Ultramarine, Red No. 218

Volume: 3.2g

How to use:

Apply directly on the lips or with a brush.

Don’t open the lipstick too much when applying, to prevent accidents. And always roll it all the way back down when closing.

My Skin Type: Wrinkly and dry lips.

No matter how the lipstick looks in the photos or on the actual lipstick bar, or on the official website, this is the closest to its actual color, I swear.

Anyway, all their lipsticks have this sticker saying the color on the outside, which helps to know what’s inside if you keep the box. If not, then it’s just like MAC lipsticks – you have to open each and every one of them to find out which one you’re opening.

My lipstick is already super round on the bottom end hehe. As they say, it has perfect color with one application and so it takes more time to use up than other lipsticks. Which is particularly nice if you consider the price of this!
So, you can use it up and not worry about saving.

This was a double layer. And on my skin it looks more on the warm side, which actually makes it interesting. It looks warmer on my skin, but on some other people it looks more n*de. And no, those people weren’t darker nor more tanned than me! It’s just the way it looks against my undertone I guess.

I also want to add here, there is a light scent of perfume in this lipstick, but not that strong. I had to smell the actual lipstick directly to feel anything.

These are my lips super moisturized and then cleansed of any remaining Vaseline. It looks like a very intense color, but it’s not really, that’s just how the picture came out. Anyway, even though it’s a n*de-ish tone of red, it makes a difference on lips that generally look “dead”, “dull” and “boring”.

If the lipstick dries on your lips (in my case around 30 minutes after application) there is barely any transfer! Seriously! The picture doesn’t lie.

It may help that the color is very light (when it comes to reds), but that doesn’t change the fact that this color has almost no transfer after drying.

Okay, this actually gives a better sense of what the color looks like on my lips.

As I described in the photo, there is settling on the lip wrinkles, since it is a matte lipstick. But for my amount of wrinkles this amount of settling is almost null. And with this color believe me when I tell you that no one notices other than you.

After 3 hours of wearing it, without reapplying, it still has color, although obviously a little washed out. For those 3 hours I was fine without applying moisturizer because this lipstick is really velvety and protects the lips from the outside.

After the 3 hours I applied Vaseline again, and of course cleansed it well before reapplying.

In the end I definitely recommend the Bbia Last Lipstick series 1 – in any color, since the quality price relation is there always – but especially in this color.
