Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream Review:
Yes, this was a purchase made in hype. Every single AB message board or social network was buzzing about this cream. So many raving reviews, so many times mentioned as holy grail cream. It was even claimed to be discontinued (in panic) just to reappear like a Fenix. Who could possibly resist that? Not even a normal person, let alone me, skin care junkie. Every possible description of this cream had been written in kudos and I simply wanted to test it. Seems legit. Right? No? Ok then, it’s me.
So, let’s see how did this little hanbang wonder cream do on my needy, hard to please skin.
♥ Wrinkle improvement, whitening dual functional cosmetics
♥ Clear skin tone, healthy skin, smooth skin texture, skin elasticity, moist skin
♥ A cream that replenishes moisture and nourishes at the same time
♥ It was made by the skin care method of the top 1% women of the Joseon era.

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream Review:
I mean, look at this cute packaging! Elegant white box hides beautiful frosted glass jar decorated with paper cover with a tag. So unique and brand distinctive.
Fragrance of Dynasty Cream is soft, gentle and flowery, nothing like hanbang/ginseng wood scent. Very pleasant and not offensive. I do not appreciate fragrances in my skin care, but who could possibly argue with hanbang formulations. Nevertheless if those fragrances do not irritate my skin whatsoever.
Texture is one more specific of this cream. It is jelly like, stringy gel/cream. See how it stretches when pulled between fingers. Texture is very similar to snail mucin creams. Except, this cream does not contain any.
Ingredients list is (expectedly) long. A bunch of emollients, humectants and then all of the pallet of herbal oils (olive, sunflower, sea buckthorn, argan, shea, safflower) and extracts (calendula, radish, rice, gourd, orchid, honey, ginseng).
There is also Niacinamide (for skin brightening and anti-inflammatory purposes), Human Oligopeptide-1, better known as EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) that I have already written about in dear Klairs midnight blue youth activating drop serum review and Ceramide 3 for purpose of strengthening skin barrier. I do not know the actual percentages of this but this mix is pretty much universal for hanbang creams.
I used this cream in the morning and in the night skin care routines. Morning skin care meant little less moisturizing steps before this cream as it might be little too much before bb cream or liquid foundation. The trick is in right amount applied. Not so every time. If you use too little of this cream it gives not much of a moisture, too much makes your skin look like a disco ball, and if you can hit the right amount – and that was the such a nice glowy skin.
In the night, I used it as the last step of my routines. Also if applied too much, I could feel it sitting on my skin next morning, hit the right amount and I would have the beautiful, bouncy skin in the morning.
I cannot exactly point my finger to each skin type and usage, this cream is to be custom applied. I don’t know, play with it. I’d say.
I could not point exactly to what this cream did to my skin after several months of using it, but skin overall is, you know, different. Better and bouncier.
Not the standout product for me, but perfect complementary part of my skin care routines for overall better skin results.
I am still wondering will I repurchase it. I have many other creams waiting to be cracked open, but maybe someday.
I recommend this cream to every skin type. See above how to apply it, your skin type accordingly. Of course, if you guys are allergic or intolerant to any ingredient listed above, steer away from this one.
