Benton Aloe Soothing Mask Pack Review:
Truth be told I first got this mask for testing from Benton. But then I liked it so much I bought it for myself again. I think it’s one of those products I’ll probably add to my shopping cart, at least one, whenever I order from Benton.
Benton is a cruelty free brand that truly tries to do what’s best for the skin, especially younger and developing skins can benefit from this brand and from their Aloe collection. I also have the same collection toner and soothing gel and let me tell you that if you like them you definitely want to try this mask too!
From the website:
The rich nutrients and moisture of Aloe and Sodium PCA make the skin hydrated and healthy. The cooling sensation of Camellia Sinesis Leaf Water revitalizes the skin.
1 – Skin-loving ingredients: packed with Aloe leaf water and Camellia leaf water, while the water content is reduced.
2 – Fragrance free
3 – Volatile Alcohol Free: A mask should be worn for a while. Volatile alcohols may give you a cooling sensation but as they evaporate they take away the moisture of your skin.
4 – Light and Thin Tencel Sheet: Close-fitting and full of moisture and helps to instantly nourish and deeply hydrate the skin.
For: red and heated skin, dry skin, dull skin
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Water, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Pca, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-glucan, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Gluconate, Betaine, 1,2-hexanediol, Propanediol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Cellulose Gum
Sodium PCA is a natural moisturizing factor similar to hyaluronic acid as it retains moisture and hydrates the skin and hair. It has even more moisturizing capacity than glycerin.
How to use:
1. After cleansing, use toner to make skin smooth.
2. Open the pouch and gently put it on your face.
3. After about 10 to 20 minutes, remove the mask and tap the remaining essence.
My Skin Type: Combination (dry U oily T), sensitive, needs elasticity, hydration and moisture.
Benton Aloe Soothing Mask Pack Review:
The design is simple, as usual by Benton, and in this case kind of cute because that small Aloe is adorable!
The pouch opens easily even though it splatters a few drops around. Inside the cute pouch there is an equally small and cute mask waiting to be loved.
The mask is soaked but not dripping, and you can see it’s transparent even before applying it.
The fit and adherence are both quite good and the mask has a certain freshness that I can feel even though it wasn’t in the fridge or any particularly cold place. It’s just fresh out of aloe and wet essence, and it feels really nice after a hot shower!
The essence doesn’t feel particularly sticky after it absorbs, even if it gives that impression at first.
It’s very liquid and spreads easily, almost like an aloe first essence! Those few drops were enough to cover half of my forearm. If Benton were to release an essence like this to add to their collection… I would probably buy it!
It leaves no trace on the skin at all, but it makes it feel more alive. There is not much essence left in the pouch, but it’s enough to apply either on the neck or a second layer on the face after the mask is done.
There is a scent of some sort. As usual with Benton it’s incredibly weak, it’s even weaker than their Cacao Moist and Mild cream and serum, for example. It’s just the scent of the ingredients after being processed, and it’s imperceptible while you’re using the mask.
The mask is decently moist (in my case) up until the end of the 20 minutes, which means that for most people it’ll be moist for over the 20 minutes! I don’t know why masks dry so much on my face, more than most people. Anyway!
After 20 minutes I still feel a slight cooling effect, and after I remove the mask it lasts until a little after the essence is absorbed. Like applying a thick layer of aloe gel for a while and then removing it with a towel.
I will admit I popped the pimple between the photo and masking, and I know I shouldn’t! Regardless, the mask didn’t sting at all there, which is a good thing, and helped soothe all red parts of my skin. I have had a cold for the past few days and it didn’t burn on my wounded nose skin either.
Other than soothed, my skin is very hydrated and all it needs is a moisturizer to lock the hydration in!
Overall I’d say the skin looks healthier, and of course it doesn’t last forever but it’s good as a daily mask to keep that hydration and vitality.
I strongly recommend this mask for hydration, soothing, cooling, aloe, and Benton lovers! I personally think it’s good for all skin types too.
