[REVIEW] A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review:

As I constantly struggle with hormonal cystic acne, I try not to use heavy creams that are oil based, especially in the summer time. Now that it’s getting warmer in Canada, I am starting to breakout more. I was eagerly looking for a gel cream to not only hydrate but heal my skin, and I came across the A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel.

A’pieu is really famous for their Madecassoside line. They have a massive skincare range from toners and ampoules to creams and cleansing foams. I am an avid user of the Madecassoside sun cream and I absolutely adore it, but I’ll save that for another review.

The gel comes in a tub and a tube that are both 50ml. I chose the tube version for sanitary purposes as I don’t like the idea of dipping my fingers in.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] A’PIEU Personal Tone Foundation W01 Porcelain

A'PIEU Personal Tone Foundation W01 Porcelain Review

A’PIEU Personal Tone Foundation W01 Porcelain Review:

I think the Personal Tone Foundation is one of the most well-known foundations from A’Pieu, it even beats its ancestor, the Triple Wear Foundation (which I really dislike). The Personal Tone Foundation is a foundation made specifically for fitting every skin tone with different undertones. A’Pieu ensures that everyone will at least find their matching tone because in total, they have 12 shades.

I didn’t plan to get this foundation but after saw that it was on sale, I bought it immediately and lucky me, my shade, W01 Porcelain was in stock. If you notice, the shades have 3 different numerations start from C for cool, W for warm, and N for neutral. Actually I should get the neutral shade but it was sold out at that moment so the warm one is my choice.

Honestly, I think 12 shades is nothing if compared to other foundations from the west that have up to 60 shades but for a Korean drugstore brand, I really appreciate how they decide to make a foundation line with these shades selection. If you are a foreigner who lives in Korea and having a hard time in finding base makeup for your skin tone, I think this one can be your best friend.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] A’Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig

A'Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig Review

A’Pieu Juicy Pang Mousse Tint BE01 Fig Review:

After having a great success with the Juicy Pang Tint, A’Pieu is back with another product in the collection, the Juicy Pang Mousse Tint. I’m a huge fan of the Juicy Pang Tint so I’m really excited when I saw advertisements for the Mousse Tint online. Basically it’s a velvet version of the older release so I’m guessing it would be more long lasting and doesn’t feel slippery on the lips.

If you never tried the original Juicy Pang Tint then you really need to try it! I think it’s one of the best lip tints I’ve ever tried and in Korea it’s also really popular and hyped by beauty influencers. Maybe because it’s unexpectedly popular (and not everyone loves the oily finish) A’Pieu decided to make it in a mousse version. Even though I love the original version, to be honest I’m not a biggest fan of glossy lips so when I saw they already have it on sale, I asked my friend who stay in Korea to get it for me immediately.

Recently A’Pieu got so popular internationally and now you can find their products easily on every online store that sell Korean makeup. Along with the affordable price (and good quality), I think it’s definitely one of the reasons why this lip tint was almost sold out when they first launched it.

[REVIEW] A’Pieu Madecassoside Ampoule

A'pieu Madecassoside Ampoule Review

A’Pieu Madecassoside Ampoule Review:

It starts with the name. It’s as simple as it is. We like cool and creative names but, let’s face it, it’s more practical to call a product by what it is! For example, you wouldn’t say “Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Mask Pack” all the time, you would just say “Benton Centella Mask” or something.

With this name there is no going wrong. I also like the design, which matches the collection completely. And the simple promise of skin protection. But does the A’Pieu Madecassoside Ampoule perform as well as it sells?

[REVIEW] A’PIEU Juicy Pang Water Blusher OR01 Apricot

A’PIEU Juicy Pang Water Blusher OR01 Apricot Review

A’PIEU Juicy Pang Water Blusher OR01 Apricot Review:

As most Asian beauty lovers know, A’PIEU is one of the most affordable road shop Korean brands out there, and quite an impressive amount of their releases are crowd favorites. Most people would know them for their Water Light Tint and their collabs, like the Gudetama and Rilakkuma ones. This Juicy Pang Blusher is one of A’PIEU’s best-selling product, too.

I have never been too keen on face makeup (other than highlighters), and I honestly never saw my own personal appeal when it comes to blushes. I was imagining how powder blushes would look on my skin, and powdery products and myself are not meant to be.

Thus, I was intrigued by A’PIEU’s Juicy Pang Blusher by the colors and the formula (and there’s something about the minimal packaging), and it was also somewhere around the time that I found myself being into the igari, boy beat, and the neutral-everything-else-but-flushed-cheeks looks and decided then that it was the best time if any to foray into blushes.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] A’PIEU Juicy Pang Tint Lips RD01 You Are My Apple

A'PIEU Juicy Pang Tint Lips RD01 You Are My Apple Review

A’PIEU Juicy Pang Tint Lips RD01 You Are My Apple Review:

A’Pieu definitely is one of my favorite Korean beauty brand. They are so affordable, they have good quality, and they have various range of product with various shade selection as well. The only bad thing is, it is quite difficult to get their products in my country and most of the time when I found a seller that sell A’Pieu products, they tend to mark up the price.

Last month, my friend went to Korea so I didn’t hesitate and asked her to help me to get their products. I purchased about 3 new makeup products with tons of sheet masks (I’m a sheet masks hoarder, obviously) and one of them is their latest release, which is called Juicy Pang Tints. If I’m not mistaken, they already have a similar concept but in a blusher version. On their Instagram, seems like A’Pieu really want to hype this tint because they even make a lip color challenge as one of their strategy to promote it.

They have 8 shades available and most of the shades are reds, pinks, and corals along with some different shade such as purple and beige. I got mine in RD01 and I’m satisfied that the shade in real life is pretty much the same with what they advertise in their official website.

A’pieu Moist Creamy Concealer 04 Beige SPF30/PA++ Review:

The A’pieu Creamy Concealer has been noted by some as a dupe for the NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer. I have tried both and will give you my honest opinions on the concealers in my detailed review below.

[REVIEW] A’Pieu Eye Mousse 05 Daily Mocha

Apieu Eye Mousse 05 Daily Mocha Review

A’Pieu Eye Mousse 05 Daily Mocha Review:

I do love glitter/shimmery liquid eyeshadows but sometimes I think the glitters are too much for me. I’m not a smokey eye-look lover and I prefer neutral shades so I can wear it for my daily activity. Among the Korean liquid shadows sold in the market, I rarely found any matte liquid shadows so I’m pretty excited when I saw A’Pieu has one (and with very affordable price!)

A’Pieu is known for their high quality products with very low price so of course I have to purchase one. They have 5 shades and all shade is neutrals and can be worn everyday, start from a very pale beige shade to a deep mocha brown.

They claim it as a ‘creamy, fitting eyeshadow with texture as light as mousse and very long lasting’ so I hope what they claim is true. I’ve been wanting a good matte liquid eyeshadow because sometimes it takes too much time to blend powder shadow so if what they claim is true, I’d be a very happy consumer.

[REVIEW] A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream

Apieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review

A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review:

I am somewhat of a control freak when it comes to choosing skincare products. This includes spending countless hours googling relevant reviews before purchasing even something as trivial as a lip balm. This time however was an exception. My previous experiences with A’Pieu products so far have been mostly positive, so when I first stumbled onto A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream in my local Asian beauty store, I decided to give it a shot and bought it right away. I was a bit surprised when I didn’t find a lot of reviews for this cream, considering how popular this brand seems to be. This also was my first introduction to a product containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). So, how did it go?
