Just last week I went to my first makeup class in Korea. I have gone to classes in Sephora, Mac, Inglot, and Kiko back in Europe, but in Korea it’s my first time! So I had no idea what to expect but I knew it would be very different from the rest.
Aritaum Seaweed Dust Cut Moisturizing Mask was purchased by Cosmeperks.
The pollution in Korea is crazy. To the point I got asthma and skin allergies because of it! If you check the news, the pollution level here is God-knows-how-many-times worse than European levels. With such conditions it’s not unusual that lots of Korean brands have whole lines dedicated to fixing the problems pollution gives to our skins.
This line consists of 4 masks, and I chose my first one to be the Moisturizing one (in Korean they call it hydrating, not moisturizing, which is why I chose it). Because my skin needs hydration and moisture (which this blue mask promises), elasticity (which the whole line promises) and anti-pollution care (literally the whole point of this line). I have high expectations for this baby.
Aritaum Fresh Power Essence Pouch Pack Bamboo Charcoal | Peeling Gel Review:
I generally love Aritaum (as a brand) since they do have a decent standard products for inexpensive prices. So after trying the Aritaum Fresh Power Essence Pouch Collagen sleeping mask last time, I grabbed the Peeling mask from the same collection that focused on flakey skin.
Now, I don’t currently have flakey skin, but that’s because I do light exfoliation once a week. Still, if this is a gel-type of peeling mask it counts and gentle if I do it right, and it can be a really practical product to take on vacation. I mean, you buy in in “sample size” for “sample price” and in a pouch that lets you use it more than one time. Practical. So I got this one and decided to try it too!
Aritaum Baby Face Ampoule Collagen Review:
The best thing about promotions is when you buy something not really knowing what to expect and it turns out to be a surprise. I think most people who do this end up having bad surprises, but the good ones make it worth it. This one was definitely a good surprise!
Yes, sure it only lasts for 6 days but 1) that’s perfect for vacation 2) usually ampoules are meant to be used one (however much the amount of the package is) all at once as a one round of treatment and that’s how I used this one! One in the morning, one at night, without any mistake! I think that, for such a short treatment the results were quite good!
Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask Review:
On a lazy day, what is one make-up item that you will put on your face for a quick perk-me-up? It is likely lip colours. Ironically, the lips are the most neglected part of our face when it comes to skincare routine. We diligently remove traces of make-up on our face, but it is easy to overlook removing our lip colours. After all, when the colours fade from our lips at the end of the day, it is easy to forget.
And so I bear the consequences. I have lost count of how many lip balms I had bought in my attempts to recover my dry chapped lips. It was embarrassing whenever I talked to someone and felt them gazing at my lips, which I am sure it was not because the lips were full and lustrous but instead because they looked disastrous.
I was curious when I came across the Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask as lip balm was the only lip product that I knew off besides lip colours then. Aritaum is by Amore Pacific, whose more popular brands include the better known Innisfree, Etude House, Laneige, Iope, Sulwhasoo etc. In comparison, Aritaum products are at the lower end of the price spectrum. But it is by no means an inferior brand to its more sophisticated cousins.
ARITAUM Aloe No Wash Cleansing Water Review:
Never had any thoughts of using any cleansing water products before, although I’d heard so much about the importance of double-cleansing. Especially for Korean people, whose skincare routines are the one that I adopt everyday. Besides, I’ve already using a konjac sponge, so I think my face had been clean enough. In other words, the main reason why I decided to try a cleansing water product is because of the curiousity and I just wanna try something new. Turns out my decision was totally right!
Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Cheek Color Juicy Peach (No 04) Review:
A Korean look will not be complete without a slight blush tinting on the cheeks. This super cute and tiny product is from Aritaum. I actually intrigued by how they name this product as “Sugarball”. It is actually very creative and eye catching. Plus, the “cushion” claim in the packaging made me interested to use this ever since Althea announced this shade as a part of their “Romantic Date” box last April.
This product is not my first Aritaum’s product. I am very impressed with their Pore Master Primer and is famous for being the dupe of Benefits’ Porefessional. So, I was really curious about the performance of this cheek blusher and start to use this product to make a natural daily look for almost 2 months! For blusher itself, I never really try a blusher before and only use a lip tint on my cheek to function as a blusher.
Aritaum Fresh Power Essence Pouch Collagen Sleeping Pack Review:
I was very excited when I first saw this product. It’s a small sleeping mask, and it looks like it has enough amount for more than one time! Especially for people who don’t use a sleeping pack regularly this seems like a nice option. Not to mention, we get to try different flavors for such a cheap price. So, for my first one I chose collagen. The weather change has been taking a toll on my skin and collagen seems like the right thing to bring back its vitality.
Although I don’t usually use collagen based products, sometimes they intrigue me, as is the case of this one! If I like this then it’s the most amazing thing to take on travels, and if I don’t… well, it’s small and inexpensive, so might as well try it!
Aritaum Fresh Power Essence Seaweed Mask Sheet Review:
After I tried the Hyaluronic Acid mask from the same collection, I literally chose the next closest color to continue my adventure! And that turned out to be seaweed, an ingredient known everywhere to revitalize your skin. Literally, my mom doesn’t even sea bathe, but she always asks me to bring some seaweeds from the sand so she can put them on her skin – and it works.
So, knowing this, I expect my face to look glorious afterwards. Will it?
