[REVIEW] The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Review

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Review:

Admittedly, I always tend to stray away from most hyped up things in fear of being disappointed and/or underwhelmed. Hence, the main reason why I’m only now offering up a review for one of The Ordinary’s various skincare products; this in particular being a destashed item from my friend as she found it to not work for her (allergic reactions, irritation, etc). Thinking that it’d be worth a try considering my penchant for anything targeting pigmentation issues (arbutin is a well-known skin brightening agent!), I decided to put it to the test. Would the YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) rule ring true?

[REVIEW] Nature Republic Real Comforting Mask Sheet AHA/BHA

Nature Republic Real Comforting Mask Sheet AHA BHA Review

Nature Republic Real Comforting Mask Sheet AHA/BHA Review:

I bought a couple of this collection’s masks literally because the packages look so simple and pretty. And then I read each of the available types (hyaluronic acid, aha/bha, madecassoside, vitamin E, vitamin C, ceramide, tea tree, pantenol, allantoin, collagen) and regret not buying one of each. I mean, they sure do sound wonderful, right?

I used a BHA toner once, and loved it and keep wanting to insert it back into my routine, so I thought of using this mask first. Will it be up to standard? Yes. Yes it will!

[REVIEW] TIAM My Little Pore Fix Source

TIAM My Little Pore Fix Source Review

TIAM My Little Pore Fix Source was purchased by Cosmeperks.

I was teased by a lot of good reviews of this serum on some beauty forums. Yes, Tiam My Little Pore Fix Source became popular lately, well at least in my country. Even I met this lovely blue baby like everywhere when I did online window shopping. And now, I am delighted to share my review as I got a chance to try this serum.

By the way, aside from many good reviews over there, I was also interested with the key ingredients of this serum. Tannin, Sesaflash, Centella Asiatica (oh, I love this!), and Conalbumin. If you haven’t yet known about the benefits of these ingredients, read below. They sound very promising! And since I have issue with large pores (also oily T-zone and blemishes) thus I put a big expectation on this serum. Let’s see what kind of result it gives!

[REVIEW] Neogence N3 Mandelic Acid Refining Mask

Neogence N3 Mandelic Acid Refining Mask Review

Neogence N3 Mandelic Acid Refining Mask Review:

I’ve been intrigued by Neogence as a brand for awhile now, but as they’re not the most affordable skincare range, I became pretty good at ignoring them whenever I chanced upon them in local stores, haha. However, when I saw their masks on sale, I really couldn’t resist getting my hands on at least a few variants to satisfy the nagging curiosity. So, did the results measure up to my expectations?

[REVIEW] A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream

Apieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review

A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review:

I am somewhat of a control freak when it comes to choosing skincare products. This includes spending countless hours googling relevant reviews before purchasing even something as trivial as a lip balm. This time however was an exception. My previous experiences with A’Pieu products so far have been mostly positive, so when I first stumbled onto A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream in my local Asian beauty store, I decided to give it a shot and bought it right away. I was a bit surprised when I didn’t find a lot of reviews for this cream, considering how popular this brand seems to be. This also was my first introduction to a product containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). So, how did it go?

[REVIEW] By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review:

When talking about exfoliating toners, Pixi Glow Tonic would first come to mind, as it is one of the earlier ones to emerge and quickly became a cult favourite. Then came The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, at a fraction of Pixi Glow Tonic price and with a bigger volume. What these two have in common is that both contain glycolic acid, which has the smallest acid molecule and can be irritating to sensitive skin folks.

By Wishtrend then has came up their own gentle exfoliating toner targeted for sensitive skin, which is the By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. Mandelic acid has the largest molecule structure therefore it is the least to cause irritation because it penetrates the skin more slowly than glycolic acid. It also has anti-bacterial properties, which can help with inflammatory acnes.

I have tried both Pixi Glow Tonic and The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. I really enjoy the one from The Ordinary, but not so much with Pixi Glow Tonic. I like having an exfoliating toner in my routine, so when I saw By Wishtrend launched this product I thought of trying it to see how it compares to the previous two that I have used.

[REVIEW] Duft & Doft beVERYclear Peeling Gel

Duft & Doft beVERYclear Peeling Gel Review

Duft & Doft beVERYclear Peeling Gel Review:

My favorite part of skincare is exfoliating. It’s fun but also very important. Exfoliating takes away a lot of things that shouldn’t be on the skin. In my opinion, it is a vital part on everyone’s routine. I remember reading an interview of the group kard on allure (yeah I know, it doesn’t really add up), and the members said the one step they can’t go without is exfoliating. If I can trust someone’s advice, that’s people with flawless skin.

I’ve been wanting to try this type of peel for years since it is less harsh on the skin than normal (not chemical) peels and it’s veeery satisfying to see more and more gunk coming out of the skin. I was in between this one and the secret key lemon peel but I decided on this one since it contains AHA, an ingredient that’s very famous for working well against acne.

[REVIEW] Goodal Waterest Lasting Water Oil

Goodal Waterest Lasting Water Oil Review

Goodal Waterest Lasting Water Oil Review:

Because my skin is so horribly dehydrated I spent quite a lot of time online reading reviews and searching for some kind of magical product to fix my dehydrated skin. Over the course of a year, I realized no one product was going to do that, but that didn’t stop me from reading about products that sounded like they would at least help. That was how I first heard of this Goodal water oil, with its unusual name.

Despite the confusing name, it seemed as if this product worked miracles for other people’s dehydrated skin which made me very curious to see whether it’s magic would work on me as well. I later found out that it had been reformulated a few times, and so I was unsure if it was as good as the original water oil, but that was half the fun – testing it out for myself to see whether this was going to be a miracle product for me or not.

[REVIEW] Cosrx Mela 14 White Ampule

Cosrx Mela 14 White Ampule Review

Cosrx Mela 14 White Ampule Review:

I am suffering from an acne prone skin that leads to acne scaring. If I get a pimple, I will get panic and use every product that I know to help treating my acne, from the very first step of my skincare routine I always clean my face thoroughly and keeping my face hydrated while treating my acne. After my acne is treated, there’s a chance that I will get an acne scar even when I don’t pick the pimples, from a zit, pustule acne, or a cysts(this type bother me A LOT) there’s a chance from leaving me an acne scars.

So I want to try this ampoule from COSRX from what I read is targeted to lighten any hyperpigmentation or acne scars. COSRX is a popular brand among k-beauty bloggers, their products are always on a hot topic, raved by everyone who suffered from skin problems and sensitivenes. COSRX always bring their products to minimum usage of ingredients, and only use the ingredients that is actually needed to heal skin problems without adding unnecessary things in their product, keeping it minimalist in ingredients.

I am also the one who is suffered from skin problems, so I need to try one of their product to help fixing my skin. I bought this ampoule for around $20 on local online shop, not so expensive I think as there are lot of ampoules that more expensive than this.
