[REVIEW] PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream

PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream Review

PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream Review:

PURITO might not be a newcomer in the Korean skincare industry, and its motto to be a safe product somehow enhances people’s curiosity toward them. Note well that the brand PURITO comes from ‘purify’ (to purify natural ingredients to create safe and clean products) and ‘to’ (to go back to basic in order to strengthen and repair collapsed skin barriers). The brand itself had been quite popular since 2018, but I didn’t feel any desires to try it due to some personal preferences.

However, I was quite intrigued to try PURITO products due to its popularity as well as my concern to use products which main ingredient is anything but water. My first experience with PURITO was its Snail Repair Advanced Serum which I bought only a month before I unexpectedly ran out of my daily moisturizer too.

There were two options I considered; PURITO Deep Sea Water Cream and PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream. No particular reason why I choose PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream, so I still contemplate to buy the other one after this product ran out. I sincerely hoped this one wouldn’t be a flash in the pan, or else I wouldn’t try any PURITO products again considering my experience with PURITO Snail Repair Advanced Serum.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Moonshot Micro Settingfit Cushion 201 Beige

Moonshot Micro Settingfit Cushion 201 Beige Review

Moonshot Micro Settingfit Cushion 201 Beige Review:

When I went to Seoul last 2017, I was not as hooked on K-beauty as I am right now. I wasn’t familiar with must-try products except for those offered by road shop brands available in the Philippines like Etude House, Tony Moly, etc. Needless to say, I was really fascinated to see women of different ages (from teens waiting in line for a ride in Everland, ladies on their commute to work, and even grandmothers on the train towards hiking destinations) applying cushion. This made me want to get my hands on this magical compact which seems to be the secret behind the coveted Korean porcelain skin.

The first ever cushion I bought was from Laneige but found it too heavy and dewy for my liking (not at all suitable for the hot and humid weather we have). I ended up just using that one a few times and giving away the refill it came with. This bad experience didn’t discourage me to avoid cushions all together though.

On the contrary, it actually made me want to try out more brands to look for my perfect match. It was last year when an online shopping site had their crazy sale on Moonshot products. All their cushions were sold for only $9.99 which I thought was such a bargain so I grabbed that opportunity to get myself one.

Reading the description of the different kinds of cushions available from the brand, I decided that this Micro Settingfit one is the most ideal for my oily skin since it claims to have a matte finish which my oily skin can benefit from. It didn’t have a refill (unlike their Balm type cushion) which was quite a bummer but I still decided to purchase this one.

By the way, Moonshot is a very new brand for me. The only information I know about it is that it has affiliations with the entertainment company YG. I’m not really a K-pop fan anymore but I believe Black Pink is their current endorser. Who wouldn’t want to achieve Lisa’s perfect skin right?

Anyway, I’ve been using this cushion for months now and I’d like to share my experience and opinions about it. If you’re curious to know if I’ve finally found my perfect cushion, please read until the end. For now, here are some details about the product:

[REVIEW] SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream Review

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream Review:

Beauty trends may revolve and changes every now and then, including the star ingredients in beauty products. There were times when almost all brands suddenly developed products with snail mucin, aloe vera, galactomyces, etc. Looking back in 2018, I think centella asiatica is the star ingredient! So many beauty brands invented new products with centella asiatica in their formulation and it became one of the selling points. No wonder, centella asiatica (also known as tiger grass or ‘pegagan’) has been famous for generations as medication that soothes skin damages, hydrates, and reduces uneven skin tones.

With all the hype marketing, of course I fell into Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream when it was launched! I couldn’t find many reviews on this moisturizer because Skin1004 is more famous for its Madagascar Cenetella Asiatica ampoule and whenever I Googled, reviews for the ampoule popped up. From the few reviews I found, they said Skin1004 Cream is lightweight and non-sticky, so as a normal-to-oily skin bearer, I chose to go with it. A week later, Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream arrived to my house.

[REVIEW] A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review:

As I constantly struggle with hormonal cystic acne, I try not to use heavy creams that are oil based, especially in the summer time. Now that it’s getting warmer in Canada, I am starting to breakout more. I was eagerly looking for a gel cream to not only hydrate but heal my skin, and I came across the A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel.

A’pieu is really famous for their Madecassoside line. They have a massive skincare range from toners and ampoules to creams and cleansing foams. I am an avid user of the Madecassoside sun cream and I absolutely adore it, but I’ll save that for another review.

The gel comes in a tub and a tube that are both 50ml. I chose the tube version for sanitary purposes as I don’t like the idea of dipping my fingers in.

[REVIEW] JM Solution Water Luminous Silky Cocoon Mask Black

JM Solution Water Luminous Silky Cocoon Mask Black Review

JM Solution Water Luminous Silky Cocoon Mask Black Review:

Compared to the sheet masks from other brands, JM Solution’s are relatively higher in price, especially in my country that has no JM Solution official stores yet. So don’t be surprised to find that the price is two-times higher than Nature Republic, The Face Shop, or Etude House.

JM Solution’s actually a short for ‘Journey to Miracle Solution’ – which is a good way to advertise its claim. I’ve found mask sheets from JM Solution quite attractive since it has a minimalist, classy design on the packaging which suits my personal preference. Moreover, JM Solution also provides a lot of varieties with their own unique main ingredients! It took me quite some time to decide among Lacto Saccharomyces Golden Mask, Centella Madecca Capsule Mask, Water Luminous S.O.S Ringer Mask and more, but finally made up my mind to buy JM Solution Water Luminous Silky Cocoon Mask Black. More because the cocoon component; so please don’t disappoint me!

[REVIEW] Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum

Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum Review

Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum Review:

I needed a good Vitamin C serum that would help me with my hyperpigmentation. I usually use Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, but it seemed like it wasn’t doing much for me. I wanted to make sure that it was a serum type that was easy to use.

I didn’t want the hassle of worrying about the discoloration and having to put it into the refrigerator. When I saw this product online, I was aware of the hype. Many people talked endlessly about how great and effective this product was. Which brought me to the question, is it worth the hype?

[REVIEW] HELLOSKIN JUMISO Water Splash Mask

HELLOSKIN JUMISO Water Splash Mask Review

HELLOSKIN JUMISO Water Splash Mask Review:

HELLOSKIN Jumiso itself has proclaimed quite a nice meaning toward the brand. In Korean, ‘ju’ (주다) means to give while ‘miso’ means smile, so literally ‘jumiso’ means to give smile. Or to make us smile, maybe? On the official website, HELLOSKIN Jumiso advertisement is like this : “Change your daily mask pack to our HELLOSKIN and put a big smile on your face. HELLOSKIN concentrates on the small things to create a big effect.”

Let’s be honest since the beginning. I’ve been eyeing the Jumiso sheet masks from quite a long time ago, but I had to restrain the desire to buy one. This brand has relatively higher price compared to we-all-know brands like Etude House, Nature Republic, The Face Shop, and so on. While I’m pretty satisfied with Etude House Air Therapy mask sheet, why should I buy other (more expensive) brands?

However, people say that “never let go of the things you can’t stop thinking about”. So I finally decided to buy two variants of Jumiso sheet masks; Jumiso Water-splash Sheet Mask and Jumiso First Skin-Lightening Sheet Mask. Besides these two, there are also Jumiso Rich Nourishment Sheet Mask, Jumiso Whoa Whoa Soothing Mask, and Jumiso Chewy Elasticity Sheet Mask that were launched together.

[REVIEW] Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Toner Pad

Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Toner Pad Review

Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Toner Pad Review:

This product has been highly raved by many Korean skincare YouTubers – sunnydahye, soobeauty, Edward Avlia and heyitsfeiii. I have tried several toner pads but was intrigued by this product as they gently exfoliate your skin and removes makeup residue. It is famous for clearing acne scars, brightening skin texture and improving skin texture.

[REVIEW] Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream

Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream Review

Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream Review:

I needed a new product as a moisturizer, since the one I was using was too heavy and made my skin very oily towards the end of the day. Coincidentally, I came across Morgan Stewart’s video where she talked about this product. Since I always trust her recommendations, I decided to place this item into the cart (with bunch of other items).
