[REVIEW] Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask

Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask Review

Innisfree Green Tea Lip Sleeping Mask Review:

Sheet mask, foot mask, hair mask, hand mask…in the world of k-beauty, there is literally a mask for every body part! But for this review, I’ll be writing about the lip sleeping mask, in particular, the Innisfree Lip Sleeping Mask with Green Tea (the other variant they have is Canola Oil Lip Sleeping Mask).

So what exactly is a lip sleeping mask? To me, it’s a thicker version of a lip balm that you apply before going to bed and wipe off the next morning which would leave you with super moisturized soft luscious lips. This product wasn’t a part of my routine up until a year ago when I first tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (probably considered as a Holy Grail product for most people). As someone with flaky dry lips who adores wearing lip tints daily, a lip sleeping mask has been a total game changer for me.

After I finished the sample size I have of the Laneige one, I contemplated if I’ll be willing to splurge on the full size. In the end, I decided to hunt for a cheaper alternative instead. After all, I’m someone who thrives on finding dupes for expensive products. Innisfree is a brand I’ve always trusted when it comes to skin care. I’m a fan of their Green Tea Seed line so when they launched a lip sleeping mask in the green tea variant, I decided to take my chances. I bought mine for 580php (~$11) which is still quite expensive for a lip product in my opinion.

This lip sleeping mask has been my go-to lip sleeping mask ever since I got it a few months ago and I must say, I’m pretty pleased with my purchase. Why? I’ll tell you in a bit, but before that, here are some details you might want to know about the product.

[REVIEW] FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink

FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink Review

FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink Review:

Winter is coming, and with that brings cold and dry weather — the worst possible combination that is guaranteed to wreak havoc on my already constantly-dry lips.

During these months, I put away almost all my lip makeup — there’s no point in wearing lipstick when it’s only going to come off in patches of dry lip skin (ew!) by midday. Don’t even get me started on re-application; there’s no way that will go smoothly (both literally and figuratively).

The FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment has been highly raved about as an effective treatment that also doubles as a tinted gloss to give a bit of oomph to the lips. It has an interesting concept — basing its entire line of these lip products on temperature as well as focusing on bacteria on the skin to enhance lip color.

How did it fare?

[REVIEW] Opera Lip Tint 01 Red

Opera Lip Tint 01 Red Review

Opera Lip Tint 01 Red Review:

Having placed first in both the well-respected 2017 Cosme Best Cosmetics Awards Mid-Year and Year-End in the lip tint category, it’s clear that Opera is doing something amazing with their lip tints. Everywhere you go in Japan, you will find people pulling out these lip tints for touch ups. A friend that I talked had gone through four of these already!

Sheer lip tints are perfect for an everyday look because of their ease of application without the compromise of color. The Opera Lip Tints also promise lasting wear without the stickiness or dryness that lip tints are often prone to.

Is this too good to be true?

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Opera Sheer Lip Color N 22 Natural Pink N

Opera Sheer Lip Color N 22 Natural Pink N Review

Opera Sheer Lip Color N 22 Natural Pink N Review:

Japanese lip products are famed for their great application and moisturizing properties, and Opera in particular has been one of the must-have brands among the sea of unending lip tints, lipsticks, and liquid lipsticks.

Their Sheer Lip Color is perhaps lesser known than their famed Lip Tint, however, that absolutely does not speak to the quality and performance of the former.

So how does it fare?

[REVIEW] Lirikos Marine Energy Night Pearl Lip Mask

Lirikos Marine Energy Night Pearl Lip Mask Review

Lirikos Marine Energy Night Pearl Lip Mask Review:

I bought this product around one week after I finished my Innisfree Canola Honey Lip Sleeping Pack. I loved it but when I looked for it, Innisfree didn’t sell it anymore in their official stores!

So I confirmed myself in buying literally the prettiest lip mask I have ever seen. It’s so pretty it’s just glitter away of being perfect. Does it perform as well as it is beautiful?

[REVIEW] Deciem Abnomaly Petrowhat? Lip Balm Bali aka Pineapple Flavour

Deciem Abnomaly Petrowhat? Lip Balm Bali aka Pineapple Flavour was purchased by Cosmeperks.

If you follow beauty trends, you must have heard about Deciem. They are known for their sub-brand called The Ordinary that specialized for skin care and make up which were very hyped last year. Their products are so budget-friendly and based on some reviews I read, the results on the skin are amazing. I always want to try their product but they always sold out here in my country so it’s really a war if you want to get something from them.

Recently Deciem launched another brand called Abnomaly and Petrowhat? is one of the first releases. Nigama gave me a chance to try their Petrowhat? (interesting name, I know) and I was so excited to try something different once in a while.

Petrowhat? is a lip and skin ointment in one product and they have 4 different flavors you can choose from. The flavor consists of Bali (pineapple), Milk (coconut milk), Rio (guava), and Baobab (I don’t know what flavor it is. The website even describes it as ‘what’s that?’ flavor). Among those 4 options, my local seller only has Bali and Baobab in stock so I choose the Bali one since I’m not sure what Baobab is.

The most exciting things from this ointment (especially if you are vegan) are that they are gluten-free, nut-free, alcohol-free, vegan, silicone-free, and even cruelty-free! I’m not vegan but I really appreciated that they didn’t test this on animals. They also replaced Petrolatum (thing you can find in most ointments that can cause clogged pores) with natural ingredients, that’s definitely a plus point for me.

[REVIEW] Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lip Balm

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lip Balm Review

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lip Balm Review:

I am a lip balm addict. Not because I love the look or anything, but because my lips are really dry and really sensitive – so I must always have something between my lips and the horrible pollution here in Seoul. Before I came here I just used lip balm to keep my lips moisturized, so anything would do really, but after coming here the pollution and the extremely dry winter weather really took a toll on my lips and allergies. Regardless, this cream has ceramide aaaaaand ato in the name! Of course my expectations are over 9000! But is it as good as it promises?

[REVIEW] Holika Holika Peko Melty Jelly Lip Balm 02 Peach Berry

Holika Holika Peko Melty Jelly Lip Balm 02 Peach Berry Review

Holika Holika Peko Melty Jelly Lip Balm 02 Peach Berry Review:

About a week ago I shared about Holika Holika Peko Pure Essence Jelly Mask Sheet Strawberry and now I am back with another product from this sweet milky Peko collection. This is Holika Holika X Peko Melty Jelly Lip Balm. As guessed, I bought this lip balm because it’s CUTE, haha. It’s true, but other than that, I do need a new lip balm as I just finished my Innisfree My Lip Balm (it’s like a big achievement to me finishing 15 gram of a lip balm less than 3 months. It proves how great the product is and how I love it so much).

Holika Holika Peko Melty Jelly Lip Balm is not only cute but also provides dual color lip balm in one package (I assumed it would give both the moisture and attractive look on lips). It comes only in 2 shades. The Cherry Berry and Peach Berry. Both are pretty and tempting. But since I am still in orangeish mood lately, so I picked up the Peach Berry one.

[REVIEW] Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Light & Intense

Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Light & Intense Review

Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Light & Intense Review:

I’ve been loving the renewed version of the Mamonde tint color balms, both light (glossy finish) and intense (velvet matte finish). These balms have been really popular in South Korea and other parts of Asia due to its affordability and high quality. It also contains more product than an average lipstick which is definitely worth the money.

The shade range is spectacular, there are various shades of n*des, pinks, corals and reds (including brick reds and burgundy). The new version promises high adherence without drying out lips, convenience and true to color. They come in a twist up tube for easy application without a hassle. Korean actress Park Shin Hye has also endorsed in Mamonde’s lip products, which caused a hype for these amazing lip crayons. She had used it in several Korean dramas and it looked wonderful on her!
