[REVIEW] Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum

Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum Review

Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum Review:

SOME BY MI was really a hit in 2018. Their 30 Days Miracle Line was very popular due to the amazing claim of repairing skin condition in 30 days. The 30 Days Miracle Line consists of bar soap, toner, serum, and cream. I didn’t give any serious attention to the brand until I almost ran out of my The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I was looking for an affordable serum, with safe ingredients, which can help with the appearance of my pores. My nose and cheek pores are wide open, with some visible blackheads T_T

I did my searching online and found that one way to reduce the pores’ appearance is by using AHA or BHA to clear whiteheads and blackheads. Thus, SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum grabbed my attention since it contains AHA, BHA, PHA as chemical exfoliator and Tea Tree & Centella Asiatica Extract to help soothing the skin and taming acne.

[REVIEW] Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peeling Pad

Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peeling Pad Review

Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peeling Pad Review:

Yay, it’s a Secret Key product again for me! I’ve always find their products are attractive, mainly because its down-to-earth price doesn’t mean a ‘just so-so’ quality. I was looking for a new physical exfoliator product back then, since my previous one almost wore off, and I found the method of using peeling pads was quite interesting.

There were a lot of options, though, from Neogen to COSRX, but I finally bought this one : Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peeling Pad. It was due to the price, honestly *chuckling* and the fact that Secret Key Lemon Sparkling Peeling Gel from the same line was perfect for me.

[REVIEW] Neogen Dermalogy Real Cica Pad

Neogen Dermalogy Real Cica Pad Review

Neogen Dermalogy Real Cica Pad Review:

This review has been a long time coming since I first bought it when it first launched in Seoul earlier this year. Unfortunately, as this tub is quite bulky and I couldn’t bring it with me on some trips, it led to inconsistent use, so I allowed ample time for me to use it consistently before I decided to finally sit down and offer my thoughts on this raved about product. I’m not one to give in to much hype, but when I was caught up in the “cica craze”, this product seemed like a total must have product, what with its claims and nice ingredients list. But, did it live up to my expectations?

[REVIEW] Naruko AMPM Total Brightening Renewal Treatment Mandelic Acid 5%

Naruko AMPM Total Brightening Renewal Treatment Mandelic Acid 5% Review

Naruko AMPM Total Brightening Renewal Treatment Mandelic Acid 5% Review:

Ah, I remember I was still a newbie in skincare when I first purchased this product. After ditching those pesky physical scrubs, strengthening my basic routine and used (and also got bored of) konjac sponge, I decided to jump into the world of chemical exfoliations.

Of course, before jumping in, I read a lot of stuff. I wanted to try AHA first to get rid of my acne scars and to brighten my complexion and all the other stuff AHA is supposed to do. After reading and researching a lot about AHA, I decided to try mandelic acid as it is considered suitable for a newbie like me. And after further research, I found this product, AMPM Total Brightening Renewal Treatment Mandelic Acid 5% and it is easy to get at the nearby drugstore in my area. I kinda don’t want to wait which is why I decided not to buy it online, haha.

[REVIEW] COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid

COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid Review

COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid Review:

Having really oily skin and big pores, and also being in a humid climate like Singapore, has caused my skin to be peppered with blackheads and tiny clogged pores. To solve this problem, I have searched high and low for a suitable product that would provide oil control and not dry out my skin at the same time. I came across the COSRX blackhead power liquid, which is a chemical exfoliator.

[REVIEW] Isntree Clear Skin BHA Toner

Isntree Clear Skin Bha Toner Review

Isntree Clear Skin BHA Toner was purchased by Cosmeperks.

As soon as I read the name of this product… I wanted to buy it. I love bha and more specifically… I love salicylic acid, guess what this toner contains… nope, sadly it’s not salcylic acid however, it’s something very similar! It contains betaine Salicylate which is used as an alternative to salicylic acid!

Almost everything I’ve bought so far with salicylic acid was amazing so the chances I like this product are high. In case you’re not familiar with it, it is a gentle exfoliant that works well against certain types of acne (not mine but it seems to work nicely on my skin so I don’t really know what to believe).

[REVIEW] A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream

Apieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review

A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review:

I am somewhat of a control freak when it comes to choosing skincare products. This includes spending countless hours googling relevant reviews before purchasing even something as trivial as a lip balm. This time however was an exception. My previous experiences with A’Pieu products so far have been mostly positive, so when I first stumbled onto A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream in my local Asian beauty store, I decided to give it a shot and bought it right away. I was a bit surprised when I didn’t find a lot of reviews for this cream, considering how popular this brand seems to be. This also was my first introduction to a product containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). So, how did it go?

[REVIEW] Skinfood Tea Tree Secret Spot Patch | Before & After Pics

Skinfood Tea Tree Secret Spot Patch Review

Skinfood Tea Tree Secret Spot Patch Review:

When I ran out of my favorite acne patch and it was also sold out everywhere, finally I had to move forward to another brand. I actually did not search any reviews on internet though I’m not that experienced with acne patch products. Just by seeing this product was ready on my favorite online shop, I immediately ordered it.

I chose Skinfood Tea Tree Secret Spot Patch because it contains tea tree leaf oil which I believe, is a good ingredient to beat blemishes effectively as it contains strong antibacterial and antifungal components. I rarely use Skinfood skincare products, I usually buy only their makeup line, but since this brand is well-known for their natural and great formula, so I expected this product would give a good result for my acne prone skin.

[REVIEW] By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review:

When talking about exfoliating toners, Pixi Glow Tonic would first come to mind, as it is one of the earlier ones to emerge and quickly became a cult favourite. Then came The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, at a fraction of Pixi Glow Tonic price and with a bigger volume. What these two have in common is that both contain glycolic acid, which has the smallest acid molecule and can be irritating to sensitive skin folks.

By Wishtrend then has came up their own gentle exfoliating toner targeted for sensitive skin, which is the By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. Mandelic acid has the largest molecule structure therefore it is the least to cause irritation because it penetrates the skin more slowly than glycolic acid. It also has anti-bacterial properties, which can help with inflammatory acnes.

I have tried both Pixi Glow Tonic and The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. I really enjoy the one from The Ordinary, but not so much with Pixi Glow Tonic. I like having an exfoliating toner in my routine, so when I saw By Wishtrend launched this product I thought of trying it to see how it compares to the previous two that I have used.
