[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Innisfree My Foundation Glow 3.1 C13

Innisfree My Foundation Glow 3.1 C13 Review

Innisfree My Foundation Glow 3.1 C13 Review:

My Foundation is a latest foundation from Innisfree. With such a simple name, I think it makes me more curious and want to try especially because of the unique shade numeration. If you notice, each foundation has different numbers (e.g : 3.1, 2.5, 1.3, etc) and from what I read from Innisfree website, it is a custom foundation so a lot of skin types can try this foundation.

With this shades range, personally I think this is a huge innovation especially from a Korean brand (which is famous for their limited shade range). I’m happy to see this foundation on my local Innisfree store so I got to swatch the shade first before purchasing it.

From what the personal assistant told me, the first number shows the foundation finish. 1 means Matte, 2 means Semi-matte, and 3 means Glow. The second number shows the coverage level, 1 being the lightest and 5 being the fullest.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] 2018 Etude House Double Lasting SERUM Foundation SPF25/PA++ N02 Pure

Etude House Double Lasting Serum Foundation SPF25PA N02 Pure Review

Etude House Double Lasting Serum Foundation was purchased by Cosmeperks.

About 2 years ago, Etude House released a foundation called Double Lasting Foundation which became really popular both in Korea and overseas. Etude must have noticed how popular their foundation was and finally change the entire shade range and adding several new shades in the collection for their international customers. I bought it as well and I have to say that it maybe the best foundation Etude House has ever made so I’m pretty excited to see finally they came with a new version!

From Etude House global website, I can see that the Double Lasting Serum Foundation has similar shade range to the original one. Both have 12 shades in 3 different undertones. I really appreciate how Etude House starts to make more shades so most of their customers can try and enjoy their product too.

The hype for the new Double Lasting Serum Foundation is really huge but it’s hard for me to find because there’s no seller has it on stock and Nigama so nice for letting me to join a pre-order for this foundation. I thought it’ll take 7 to 10 days but I only have to wait for 4 days! Kudos for that seller for sending the package really fast.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ 301 Natural Beige

Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ 301 Natural Beige Review

Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ 301 Natural Beige Review:

Moonshot is a brand I’ve always been interested in due to its chic, sleek and often minimalist aesthetic. If I remember correctly, I first heard of the brand due to its popular Jelly Pots, which were raved about by various beauty bloggers a few years back. However, due to scarcity in local stores (I often prefer to swatch makeup products beforehand) and their products’ often mid-high price tag, I eventually just shrugged the urge off.

However, when a flagship Moonshot store opened up locally and later held a number of products on sale, I decided to give in and ended up getting myself one of their cushions as I was coincidentally running out of base makeup. So, how did the Microfit Cushion – or also known as the “GD/G-Dragon Cushion” hold up in humid climate?

[REVIEW] Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain

Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain Review

Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain Review:

Mamonde is one of the most well-known Korean beauty brands internationally. Thanks to their brand ambassador Park Shin Hye years ago, their lip tints were hyped and sold out almost everywhere and their cushions were famous as well. I never tried any of their complexion product so I was intrigued when I heard they launched a new foundation.

All Stay Foundation is the latest foundation from Mamonde and I think they release it last May (I’m not too sure so don’t count me on it). I was browsing and searching for information about this product and from what I found, a lot of Korean beauty bloggers had tried it and their reviews were mix. Some said it was their favorite foundation while others said it wasn’t worth the money.

Regardless of the mix reactions, this foundation was picked by Allure Korea as their foundation of the month so I decided to purchase it and try it myself. One thing I love was they have 6 shades in total which pretty rare for a Korean foundation! Unfortunately while the fairest shade is perfect for my fair complexion, the darkest shade are not deep enough for deeper skin tone. I can say the darkest shade will suit medium-tan skin tone the best.

[REVIEW] The History of Whoo Gongjinhyang: Seol Radiant White Moisture Cushion Foundation #21

The History of Whoo Gongjinhyang: Seol Radiant White Moisture Cushion Foundation #21 Review

The History of Whoo Gongjinhyang: Seol Radiant White Moisture Cushion Foundation #21 Review:

Normally I look at limited edition cushions and wonder why people would buy them. Until of course I saw pictures of this spring limited edition cushion. I couldn’t help but fall in love with the design at the first sight, yup it’s official I go crazy over cherry blossom (sakura) designs. Oops. At first, I resisted the urge to buy this, because it is certainly a luxury item and very pricey! It sat in my cart for a week while I decided whether to buy it or not.

In the end the design won me over, but also the fact that it came with a refill, and a loose powder sample made me decide to just buy it. I wouldn’t usually buy something this expensive and luxurious, but luckily, that week I got a bonus from my job so I was feeling rich enough to buy this. The fact that I got the bonus made me feel like it was a sign to buy this cushion. (Is it obvious I was looking for any excuse to buy this? Heh.) If you’re curious to see whether it is was worth it to buy this luxury limited edition cushion, keep reading…

[REVIEW] Etude House Active Proof Liquid Fitting Base SPF50+ PA++++ Light Beige

Etude House Active Proof Liquid Fitting Base SPF50+ PA++++ Light Beige Review

Etude House Active Proof Liquid Fitting Base SPF50+ PA++++ Light Beige Review:

With the satisfying result of the Etude’s Active Proof Shield Wear Color Tint, it makes this foundation listed on my ‘next-to-try’ list. I’ve been trying to find it everywhere but the only way I can get it is by get it directly from Korea and it takes 4 to 6 weeks so I decide to wait until someone stock it and I’m so happy that finally my local seller has it on stock!

So Active Proof Liquid Fitting Base is a part of their latest summer collection, the Active Proof line. Consists of various products, this collection is perfect for summer season since it’s waterproof, lightweight, and stay all day. I don’t know exactly what this product is since Etude House didn’t explain if it’s a foundation, BB cream, or just a skin tint.

The ‘waterproof and stay all day part’ sounds too good to be true but the lip tint performs exactly as they said so I believed them and decide to try the foundation. If it’s truly stay all day, it’d be a good news for everyone with oily skin.

But unfortunately, they only make it in 2 different shades. There are definitely more than 2 skin tones in this world but as usual from a Korean brand, you can’t expect them to have wide range of shades selection. I got the lightest shade but somehow I found it’s not exactly my perfect shade so the shade range really disappoints me.

[REVIEW] Nature Republic Provence Intensive Ampoule Foundation 01 Light Beige

Nature Republic Provence Intensive Ampoule Foundation 01 Light Beige Review

Nature Republic Provence Intensive Ampoule Foundation 01 Light Beige Review:

I went to Nature Republic near my place weeks ago and I saw this foundation. I never tried any of Nature Republic base product so I was kinda curious and wanted to try one. They have several type of foundations but the name of this foundation itself caught my attention.

From its name, seems the foundation contains ampoule which I believe is very beneficial for the skin. I love when base makeups used skin care ingredients so it’s like I got 2 benefits in one product. It also contain red ginseng, royal jelly, and propolis which is good for moisturizing and firming the skin.

The price is a little bit ‘up there’ but I think it’s fair that it costs more than their other foundations since it has good ingredients. Unfortunately, the shade range is very disappointing. It has only 2 shades option and both shades are so light. I think only very fair to light skinned people can use this foundation.

[REVIEW] Clio Kill Cover Founwear Cushion XP | 2017 Version

Clio Kill Cover Founwear Cushion XP Review

Clio Kill Cover Founwear Cushion XP Review:

In 2017, Clio renewed their best-selling founwear cushion into something classier, with an updated formula promising 48 hours of wear instead of 24. The new XP version highlights a semi-matte finish which mimics skin, that is non-cakey nor sticky. It’s supposedly a mix between their original founwear and conceal cushion.

The previous founwear and ampoule cushions were my favorite during the winter season, however I wanted something that I could use during all seasons, particularly in Spring and Fall when my skin changes from combo-oily to combo-dry.

The Face Shop Sweet Apeach Edition Kakao Friends Oil Control Water Cushion V201 Apricot Beige Review

The Face Shop Sweet Apeach Edition Kakao Friends Oil Control Water Cushion V201 Apricot Beige Review:

Another newest and cutest makeup collaboration this month! And now it comes from The Face Shop X Kakao Friends, Sweet Apeach edition! I was crazily impassioned when got a sneak peek of this collaboration from The Face Shop Facebook Page few days before it was officially launched on May 7th. I didn’t pay much attention for The Face Shop X Kakao Friends Hoodie Ryan edition. But this Sweet Apeach edition is totally cute and adorable (maybe because it’s pink!). I couldn’t resist it.

This Sweet Apeach edition comes with super cute cushion case, Baby Sunscreen Cushion, lip tint, eyeshadow palette, blotting powder, sun stick, hand cream, body wash, body lotion and they even have Dr. Belmeur soothing gel cream and tone up cream in Sweet Apeach jar. Ah, all are so cute! The Face Shop really knows how to take my money.

I finally bought this Special Cushion Case Sweet Apeach edition on May, 6th. Right, a day before its official launch (and I regretted why I didn’t wait until the D-day because they gave a special Apeach pouch as free gift for buying certain products. I cried T T ). I picked the Oil Control Water Cushion for the refill of my Sweet Apeach cushion case. So, are you ready to meet the cute Apeach?
