[REVIEW] Celderma Crystal Skin Mask

Celderma Crystal Skin Mask Review:

Do you know who is the queen advertising these masks? Song Jihyo from Running Man! I’m a huge fan (of her as an actress, I’m just aware she’s more famous for Running Man), and I thought her skin was so much better when Banila Co made her a project and had her have no makeup but proper skin care. From then on I thought if Song Jihyo swears by a product it may actually be effective.

Anyway, that’s what drove me to try Celderma, which is the brand she endorses now. This specific mask promotes Glass Skin, and let’s face it, that’s one thing Jihyo had far ahead of her time! I want to try glass skin too.

Celderma Crystal Skin Mask Review

The design of the mask is really nothing special. Even the color choice, it’s so grey… so boring. The pouch opens easily but the mask is big so it slides up and kinda stops me from opening it as easily as I could, other than that no worries.

The hydrogel mask is protected by vinyl as usual, one thin transparent and one thicker white. The bottom part is inside the top part, and they are easy to separate. I will apply the bottom first because it’s more comfortable to remove them from each other by this order.

The fit is good everywhere except on the nose, because my nose is too “tall” for Korean standards. The hydrogel feels very calming as soon as it touches the skin. Loving the feeling of it right after application! I’m not sure my skin can handle 20 to 40 minutes with the mask on my face (because my skin needs a lot of hydration after cleansing and I’m not sure my toner can do that alone), but I’ll leave it on for at least 20 minutes.

If you zoom you can see how horrible my skin was!

And by the way that’s a lip tint so it’s not like I’m wearing makeup… it’s just that removing lip tints is a bother… *excuses*

Celderma Crystal Skin Mask Review

There is a soft scent from the mask in the pouch, but it’s really weak so I can’t identify it well. Smells like flowery talc powder from Johnson’s baby collection or so. It is also a little fresh, maybe because of all the citrus in it.

There is almost nothing inside the pouch, this is all I can extract and I’m using it for the swatch! But that’s because hydrogel masks often have the essence in the gel mask and not only on the separate essence.

The essence is dense and absorbs fast, with no sticky feeling.

Celderma Crystal Skin Mask Review

I left the mask on for 20 minutes, but as I said my face really needs care and, whereas on the parts with the mask are perfectly fine, the eyes, lips, and neck can’t take it any longer without care so I had to stop masking. But under the mask my skin feels so comfortable!

My skin truly feels good and looks beautiful and bright – like this without effort anyone can get glass skin!

I can’t describe it any better than this: my skin still needs the complete skin care routine, but it feels clear, alive, and it looks amazing. From the moment I put the mask on it was refreshing and didn’t hurt my open wounds even though it has all sorts of citrus, so I am very surprised.

I have a good skin day today but I also hit my face on an iron (don’t judge me) and everything stings there, but not this mask. I’m sure if you have infections (pimples, reactions) it can hurt, but otherwise if the skin is sensitive for other reasons I think anyone will be fine.

It doesn’t hydrate or really do anything else other than “clear and brighten” up the skin, but to me that’s so worth it. So, no protection or hydration like their promises, although as I said the mask didn’t hurt my skin in any way and didn’t feel dehydrated while using the mask.

If you mask only for the nutrients then maybe skip it, but if you are in this for these results then definitely try it! I recommend it as a beauty mask and not as a skin care mask – but still recommend it.
