CLIO Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation 03 Linen Review:
CLIO is one of the more expensive Korean beauty brands out there. The prices in Korea is a little bit up there, it’s not as expensive as IOPE but it’s not as affordable as Etude House either. From what I read before, CLIO was established by a professional makeup artist and to these days their products are often used both by makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts.
I rarely buy CLIO products because of their prices in my country is really expensive but I heard their foundations are really worth the price. They have tons of liquid and cushion foundations and it confuses me which one should I get. They have different foundations for different skin types and since I have combination – oily skin, I decided to get the liquid one since cushion foundations are more moisturizing and works for dry skin better.
Their best selling foundation is Kill Cover line so I got myself the Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation. They didn’t say if it’s work for oily skin but since they said it’s long lasting, I think it would be good for my skin type.
Full coverage foundation with a thin formula that smoothes out the skin and lasts even until 6hrs.

CLIO Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation 03 Linen Review:
I always thought that CLIO is a Korean version of MAC Cosmetics since they have similar style and often used by professional makeup artist. They also have similar price range and their have wide color and shade selection. But I don’t understand CLIO’s shade range. They once had up to 6 shades range if I’m not mistaken but now they only have 3 shades – 02 Lingerie, 03 Linen, and 04 Ginger.
Usually I always pick the lightest shade because of my fair complexion but with CLIO I have to choose the shade carefully. Their lightest shade in the Kill Cover Highest Wear Foundation is more pink so I have to get the second shade and lucky me the shade matches me pretty well.
I guess even though it’s the second lightest shade, it’s more like a yellow version of the lightest one. So if you have fair to light skin tone and have cool undertone, get the shade 02 Lingerie and if you have warm undertone, get the shade 03 Linen.
They come in a frosted glass bottle packed in a black box full of information. In my opinion the packaging is simple yet luxurious because the weight is a little bit heavy. It has a pump which works perfectly and I’m glad because it’s more hygienic and makes application much more easier.
I used a full pump as I always did with my other foundations but surprisingly it’s more than enough. One pump can cover more than my whole face so I’d suggest you to use a half pump first then you can add more if needed. The bad side is it’s not travel friendly. I never bring it with me because I’m afraid it’ll break and make a mess.
It has a satin to glowy finish (which I think based on your skin type and primer you use) and with that kind of finish I’m surprised it has a really good coverage! It covers my acne scars and dark spots so well I don’t even have to use a concealer.
To get the fullest coverage, you can use a brush but it’ll look patchy because the foundation has a thick texture. My favorite way is by using a beauty sponge to get more natural and radiant finish.
The first time I tried it, I used a full pump with hydrating primer and set it with a loose setting powder. It makes the foundation lasts so well on my oily skin but maybe because I used too much, it looks cakey after 3 to 4 hours.
The second time I used it with a smoothing primer and use only half a pump. I wear it thinly with a beauty sponge and the finish was more beautiful than the first time. It didn’t look cakey, there was no creasing, and it feels more lightweight on the skin. It also last 6 to 7 hours without creasing on my skin.
The best thing from the foundation is it doesn’t transfer everywhere and it’s not easy to wear off. I used an oil paper to blot my T-zone and it removes my foundation just a tiny bit you can’t even see the difference.
Overall I’ll give this foundation a very high score! It’s really worth the price and I think it will work with every skin type. My mom has a dry to normal skin type and she loves it as much as I do so I highly recommend it for everyone to try. So far it’s the best item I bought this year!
