[Review] COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask Sheet

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask Sheet Review:

Cosrx while relatively a new brand is a crowd favorite amongst Asian Beauty. Most of their products, if not all is very promising (at least for me) as they cater to acne-prone and oily skin. What’s even better is the fact that their ingredients always seem to be neat so even people with sensitive skin can use them.

I personally own few cosrx products and they are pretty good. It’s just that sometimes, I feel that they are way too mild but effective, nonetheless. So it was just a matter of time that I try the one and only sheet mask released by this brand –the Holy Moly Snail Mask.

  • The star ingredient of this sheet mask is snail mucin which is known to be potent in anti-aging and helps repair damaged skin.
  • Red Ginseng Water is also used instead of regular water which steps up the nourishing and moisturizing game.
  • In addition, the sheet is said to contain Camelia Japonica Seed Oil which can soothe your tired and stressed skin.

Red Ginseng Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask Sheet Review:

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is an odorless mask which is very typical with Cosrx products. It comes with a clear, a little runny essence that is quite slimy. It actually reminds me of my Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence; I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the essence used in this mask and Galactomyces Essence.

COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask Sheet Review

The material of the sheet used is of good quality; it was pretty thick and doesn’t tear easily. Contrary to the usual black or white/transparent sheet masks, COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask Sheet comes with a skintoned/peachy sheet which is due to Camelia Oil it was infused with.

There wasn’t much essence left in the pack but as I arranged it on my face, the essence kept on dripping on my neck.

The fit of the mask is pretty good except it wasn’t able to cover my full forehead and the sheet between nose and lips is far too wide it kept covering my upper lip which I find bothersome. It was still damp at 20 minutes when I took the mask off.

My face is noticeably plumper and more hydrated after use. It also did feel softer considering I went straight on this mask after washing my face. And that’s pretty much what I got from mask.

Overall, it is a decent mask to use. If your skin is dry and needs real hydration, this may be a very good mask for you. In addition, if you love unscented products, you would definitely love this too! If you’re looking for brightening and any other oomph factor, please look away this is definitely not the one you are looking for.

Don’t get me wrong, COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask is a pretty good mask and fares better than a lot that I’ve used before. I was just a little underwhelmed by this product because personally, I treat the sheet mask part of my routine as a pampering session after a long day.

As much as I like unscented products, I do prefer my sheet mask be at least lightly scented because it makes me feel more relaxed and lets me enjoy my night better.

Since I didn’t have any Holy Moly! Moments with this sheet mask, I probably won’t be repurchasing this product unless they are on sale or something.
