Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream Review:
Cosrx has a great name for having products with clean and short ingredients lists, which is why it is a brand that I am always interested to try. Their packaging is simple but attractive too, which is another (bad) reason I’m always tempted to buy their products! Because my skin is dehydrated I kept looking for a cream to help fix it, and one with hyaluronic acid, and my research lead to this cream.
I’ve tried a lot of different creams and moisturizers, but many of them are too light for my skin. But this one sounded quite heavy from the information I read about it. And the fact that it comes as 100 ml seemed even better, because I tend to be very heavy handed with creams. But it’s so easy to read reviews or descriptions and totally fall in love with a product before you’ve even tried it. The real question is whether you still love it after you’ve used up the jar, or whether you’re heartbroken and sad that it failed you miserably.

Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream Review:
I’d previously tried the Cosrx hyaluronic acid essence, but I didn’t feel like it made any difference to my skin, and so I hoped that I’d have more luck with the cream. The cream has a spatula hiding under the lid, on top of the cover, which actually is a very handy place to have it. I prefer the spatula to be there rather than sitting loose in the box which doesn’t seem that hygienic.
Like almost all Cosrx products, it doesn’t have much of a smell or fragrance, and I’ve never been bothered by the scent of this product at all. It’s one of the reasons why I like Cosrx products, because they tend not to add fragrances to their products.
The cream itself has an almost silky yet slimy texture to it. It’s very light and smooth feeling, yet it’s obvious that the cream does contain some oils in it. It spreads easily, and sinks in quite effortlessly as well. For me it’s not heavy at all, in fact it feels quite light to me (however, if you have oily or normal skin, it might seem quite heavy to you).
You can see in the pictures how dry my skin looks before the cream is rubbed in, and then how it looks a little less dry once I’ve patted the cream in.
Because this is a hyaluronic acid cream, it should be good at preventing dehydration and keeping the skin hydrated. At least this is what I hoped when I bought it, and I also hoped that the oils would help the cream to work as an occlusive too.
However, what I found was that this cream on its own wasn’t heavy enough. The climate here tends to be quite dry all year around, and so my skin is often dehydrated because of the dry air. I hoped this cream would add a hydration boost and stop the water from evaporating from my skin. I’ve almost completely used this jar up, it lasted me around three to four months and sadly it didn’t do much to help with my dehydration problems.
For me the cream was too light to use alone, but it also didn’t work very well as an emulsion or with a heavier cream on top. I also tried using gel type sleeping packs over the cream, but it didn’t make much of a difference in the hydration of my skin either. Maybe the problem is my climate, but honestly, I just think this cream isn’t suited to my dry skin.
I believe this cream would be best suited to people with oily and dehydrated skin or normal skin, and not for dry skin. At this point in time I have no plan to repurchase this cream, it’s a basic cream and it didn’t irritate or aggravate my skin, but it also didn’t help it at all.
