[Review] Cosrx Oil Free Ultra-moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap

Cosrx Oil Free Ultra-moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap Review:

COSRX as already globally well known brand with strong appearance on social network media lives up to their promise to deliver results with as they claim:

“Maximized effect, Minimized skin trouble
Maximized cost of ingredient, Minimized cost of container
Maximized product capacity, Minimized price
Maximized communication with customers, Minimized promotion
Maximized list of products, Minimized distribution structure.”

More or less, their philosophy sublimed in these five lines. I always have fun navigating through their product list as it always results in purchasing something new to my cosme stash. This time it’s all about Oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion (with birch sap). My skin felt thirsty at the time.

Volume: 100 ml / 3.38 fl.oz

How to use:

In the morning routine, use it after toner and essence and before sunscreen. In the evening routine it is always the last step before creams or sleeping packs.

When it’s particularly dry weather I like to reapply it throughout the day because it really keeps skin hydrated. And it works fine to fight dehydration caused by dry weather conditions.

My Skin Type: Sensitive, rosacea, dehydrated

Cosrx Oil Free Ultra-moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap Review:

This lotion (as promised) is for those seeking moisture and hydration for treated skin and sensitive skin prone to blemishes. But, I believe that all the skin types would benefit from this particular light weight formulation. Even for those on the both side of spectrum – oily and dry. And for those in the middle – just dehydrated.

It comes in a simple, typical COSRX glass bottle with the pump.

Ingredients list is rather simple and rich in moisturizing factors, but some people with sensitivity to Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol or olive oil derivates (Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate) might raise the red flag, but my skin definitely didn’t react to it.

I was rather concerned about Lemon Peel Oil as my rosacea isn’t much of a fan of citrus originated ingredients but it remained calm. Also, may I add the Lemon Peel OIL and Tea Tree Leaf OIL are on the bottom of the ingredients list of the product that in its very name has the “OIL FREE” claim. Ha!

But it works, and I cannot complain so I will let the formulation of this product speak for itself. Whitish, gel-like lotion feels very comfortable on the skin. Almost as giving a thirsty skin a glass of water. And it feels good.

This hydration/moisturizing effect lasts for quite some time and fights other signs of dehydrated skin, irritated skin or even over-exfoliated skin. My skin loves it. And I love it when my skin loves something.

Cosrx Oil Free Ultra-moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap Review

Maybe there is one thing that could bother some people. It’s the scent. Rather strong herbal aroma of herbal bonbons (that my grandmother used to have in her pockets). I like it and it really doesn’t bother me but some people could find it a little bit too much.

After five weeks of use I really can say that I like using this lotion. It is simple, elegant and effective. For those people with perfect skin, it will be nothing more than a glass of water for the thirsty skin, but for those fighting all kinds of blemishes, irritations of various kinds will be like a cosy blanket and a pillow after a long day.

I will most definitely repurchase this product. Well done COSRX!
