Erborian Ginseng Milk Milky Face Lotion Review:
Once upon a time, face lotions were a thing. They are not as heavy as your usual moisturizer, but does a pretty good job in hydrating the skin, and removing make up. Who doesn’t want a 2-in-1 buy, right? So that’s where the Erborian Ginseng Milk Milky Face Lotion comes in. Last year, around Feb 2016, I dropped by at Sephora.
I was initially looking for some brow pencils from ABH, but ended up picking up a few Korean skincare products for my overly dry and dehydrated skin. So, I got the Erborian Ginseng Milk with other k-beauty products, since the Sephora saleslady sweared that it will help alleviate the dryness and patchiness of my skin, and it somehow did.
Before getting into the detailed part of the review, let’s start with some basic information of the product first.
+ It is a milky lotion enriched with Ginseng, which claims to give the skin a smoothing and tightening effect.
+ It also claims that your skin would appear smoother and feel softer after a few uses.

Ginseng: Helps in smoothing and tightening the skin.
*It is also formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
Volume: 190 ML (6.4 fl. oz.)
How to use:
As a moisturizer (for people with oily skin) or a pre-moisturizer (for people with dry skin), pour enough amount of the lotion at the tip of your fingers, then gently spread all over the face. Pat lotion gently until your skin absorbs all the residue left. Use daily, morning and night.
As a make-up remover, use as you would with a normal make-up remover. Pour enough amount on the cotton pad, and wipe all over your face until all the make-up is removed.
Be careful, and make sure you won’t get the lotion in your eyes, because it is only mild for the skin, not for the eyes.
My Skin Type: Transitioned from oily skin to dry and sensitive skin.
Erborian Ginseng Milk Milky Face Lotion Review:
As I have said a while ago, I grabbed this from Sephora last Feb 2016. I have been using this on and off, so I still have it right now.
When I first swatched this product on my skin, the smell and its light texture made me want to get a bottle right. I roamed around Sephora, and waited a few minutes to see how it will sit on my skin, and it did well.
My skin absorbed the lotion as expected, and it gave my skin a dewy and supple feel to it.
Upon purchasing, I used it for 1-2 months straight as a pre-moisturizer and a make-up remover, and it really did well on “fixing” the texture of my skin. I would even transfer it to a smaller bottle so I can bring it as I travel.
But, as I have said above, “it somehow did” alleviate the dryness at patchiness of my skin, because I was using other products, so it is not of this product’s help alone that my dry and patchy skin got better, but it did help.
I have been with this product for over a year now, and I still love it. On my drier days, I would use this as a make-up remover, rather than double cleansing (which I usually do), to help my skin get the moisture it needs.
Overall, I liked this product. I am not super in love with it, but I liked it. It does what it claims to do, and it can be used in many ways, and the ingredients are kind to the skin, so it is a good buy. If you are thinking of trying it, just do it, it is worth a try! I feel like it can work for any skin types, anyway.
For people with dry skin, please use this as a pre-moisturizer! This won’t be enough to keep you moisturized throughout the day, especially if you plan to put make-up on top of it.
For oilier skins though, this might be good as your moisturizer already. Just test it out! We all have different skins, and we should experiment on it (with care!), and see what will work for us!
Would I repurchase? Maybe, but not anytime soon. Currently, I am looking to try more of the Korean beauty products, but this is surely on my good skincare product list. 😉
