Etude House Collagen Eye Patch Review:
Lately, I started to give more attention to my under eyes area. Even I do not have serious problem on my under eyes area, but I think it is better to give it extra treatment since I am, of course, getting older from day to day. Considering that fact, I start looking for good products to tighten skin around eyes. My lack of experience for eye patch products makes me a bit confused to choose which product I should try since there are a lot of brands out there. So, I started with the most popular K-brand, Etude House.
I was interested with the collagen essence in this eye patch. I love collagen in my skincare. Collagen makes my skin moist and keeps its elasticity for youthful look. Besides, another interesting content from the ingredients list is Retinol which works as an anti-aging active. Therefore, I expected this product would give me a good result. Moreover, Etude House’s products usually work nicely on my skin. This is my third pack of Etude House Collagen Eye Patch and I am going to tell you how this product works on my skin.

Etude House Collagen Eye Patch Review:
The doll face on the package should bring a cute vibe, just like other Etude House’s products. But personally, I think that doll face looks creepy instead of cute or sweet (hhaha, ignore this. I watched too much horror movies about dolls, LOL). However, there is nothing special I can tell you about the package. It is just like many other sheet masks or eye patch products. The pocket is quite small so it is very travel friendly.
After tearing the pocket, I found another package inside which is a clear plastic tray where the eye patches are housed. So we have to open the plastic tray to take the eye patches out. The tray has no seal but since the essence are everywhere, it was a little bit slippery to open it.
The eye patches are super thin. The shape and size are perfect. Not too big nor too small. I know, the idea to use double-packaging is very good. The inner plastic tray makes the eye patches safe and keep their shape neat. It also helps us to take out the eye patches easily from the pocket. I remember when I used Tonymoly Panda Dream Eye Patch (that has no inner or additional packaging inside), I found the patches were rumpled like someone has already used them >.<
Since the eye patches are very thin, at first I did not know that there was a transparent film on the patch. The clear film should be removed before we put the patches to our skin, but when I used this product for the first time, I did not remove it, LOL. I found the clear film after removing the patch from my skin. Hhaha!
The eye patches are very comfortable to use and they can adhere perfectly on my skin. Even when I used them without laying down, they could stay very well under my eyes area. Meanwhile the amount of the essence is so so (that’s why I got only a little remain essence to be swatched on hand). Well, I shouldn’t complain about it because the essence is actually for under eyes area only.
Talking more about the essence, it does not have any annoying scent. It smells like many other sheet masks, typically skincare scents. As far as I can remember, the scent is like my first eye patch, Tonymoly Panda Dream Eye Patch but this one is more softer and lighter.
The essence itself, which is rich of collagen extract, comes in a soft texture. It is in gel-like consistency and not runny. However, the essence feels somewhat thick for me but so far it is still acceptable. I removed the patches after 20 minutes and patted the remain essence gently. The essence absorbed pretty quickly and left my under eyes area look brighter, moist and smoother. I lost my dull skin instantly after using the patches and looked more fresh.
On the contrary, I do not like the sticky feeling it left. For my oily-combination skin, it does not feel comfortable. I feel like the essence is too heavy for my skin that’s why it feels sticky. My skin looked moist at first but after 15 minutes or more it started to be oily. I used Etude House Collagen Eye Patch three times and got the same experience with the stickiness. So, I gave up.
Though I can not love this product, I have to say that Etude House Collagen Eye Patch is effective to brighten up my under eyes area. This product is more suitable for normal to dry skin type, in case you want to try it out too. I can not tell about its power to improve some fine lines around my eyes because I only used it three times. I guess we need to use it regularly to get its best result. But for me, I will not repurchase it and look for other products.
