Etude House Color In Liquid Lips Mousse was purchased by Cosmeperks.
After having a good experience from my previous lip mousse product which was The Saem Saemmul Mousse Candy Tint, I was very excited to try another lip mousse from the famous brand, Etude House. This product is quite new as it was launched on August 2017, about a month ago.
Etude House Color In Liquid Lips Mousse has 6 pretty colors from red, orange and pink shades. I got mine in PK002 which is also called Sweet & Sour Pomegranate. From what it claimed, I’m so interested with the point said that the silicon elastomer and purified water ingredients will hydrate our lips and give an intense color. Well, since I am experienced with some of Etude House lip products that are a little bit dry on my lips, so I hope this one will do the claims. Moreover, it is gel-mousse tint. Hmm… a type of lip mousse that blends like jelly, will it be good or otherwise?
– A gel-mousse tint with matte and silky texture.
– A low irritant moisture tint gives vibrant matte finish look but also hydrating effect to your lip.
– The light-satin texture containing more than 15% water spreads lightly on your lip and provides a long lasting & moisture finish. It would glide naturally on lips delivering beautiful gradient or natural full lip makeup. The light-satin texture adheres evenly on your lips providing more powerful long-lasting effect than the previous velvet-type texture tint products.
– A new formula makes silicon elastomer and purified water stay on the same layer, so that it can take both advantages of each ingredients. The silicon elastomer keeps your lip hydrated while the purified water ingredients intensify the coloration.

Etude House Color In Liquid Lips Mousse PK002 Sweet & Sour Pomegranate Review:
A brand that seems to be never failed for the product design is Etude House, right? I think this one is not an exception. It is stored in a red box with cute lips printed on the front.
Like usual, you can find the ingredients and product descriptions on the sides of the box. They are written in English and Korean, other good point from Etude House’s packaging, thus we don’t have to run to their website to find the basic information of the product.
The lip mousse itself comes in a doff-plastic bottle with the color represents the shade inside. The design of the bottle is like its sisters in Color In Liquid Lips series. You know, it’s like you are seeing the lipstick bar inside the glass, but it is actually just a gimmick, LOL.
The thing I like from the bottle is the material is thick and sturdy. Hence we don’t need to worry to put it in our bag. Well, the design is kinda simple but still pretty and catchy.
I’m satisfied with the outer look but not for the applicator. The applicator is doe-foot type, which I usually enjoy to use. The thing I dislike is the tip of the applicator. They make it in rectangular shape but don’t sharpen the tip.
It makes a little bit hard to get a precise application, especially for the corners of the lip. Luckily, the bristles are soft so it’s still comfortable on my lips.
The unique point from Etude House Color In Liquid Lips Mousse is the texture. It is a lip mousse in gel texture. I think it is 50:50 between lightweight lip cream and gel lip tint.
This product is not heavy even for more than one layer application. It glides smoothly on my lips and blends very easily. Gradient lips or bold full lips, both are great with this product. What makes it better is it has minty-cherry scents. So fresh!
This product has a good pigmentation and can be built as bold as you want. But, the gel type texture makes the color of this product is not as opaque as lip mousse should be. The coloring power is more like a gel tint than a lip mousse which usually has the characteristic of lip cream but in lightweight texture.
Mine is in shade PK002 which is Sweet & Sour Pomegranate. This is the darkest pink shade. Actually the color is not pink, but pure red with cool tone. This color is a type of red color that whitens my teeth, LOL. I like it. I use it as gradient lips to get a natural look or apply bold and full on lips to get mature look. I think the color will look good on any skintone.
Just like many other Korean lip products, the matte result is semi-matte, not matte-matte. The result is a bit glossy then being semi-matte after several times. The finishing is lightweight and smooth. It neither accentuate my fine lines nor make my lips drier.
On the other hand, it doesn’t moisten my lips too. So, if you have dry lips, better to use lip balm first before applying this product.
This product is not sticky on my lips but it transfers very easy. It makes the color fade away a little bit faster. It stayed about 3-4 hours on my lips when applied bold-full lips (I drink and eat snacks several times). Fortunately, the leftover tint color is pretty vivid so it doesn’t show my pale lips.
I have a high expectation for this product but the result is not da bomb, just stuck on pretty good level. The unique gel-mousse texture didn’t impress me as I expected. But at least, it doesn’t make my lips dry and the semi-matte finish still gives a healthy look on my lips.
If I have to give it stars from 1 to 5, I will give 3.5 stars for this product. This product is not bad, but actually it’s not my cup of tea.
