Etude House Colorful Vivid Tint OR203 Iced Persimmon Review:
If you didn’t know, Etude is one of many brands that keep releasing new product and following the trend. This time, Etude already launched their latest collection for S/S 2019 collection which is consists of blushers, matte liquid lips, shine liquid lips, and many others. I really want to get the collection but when I browsed their website, my eyes fell on the new tint called Colorful Vivid Tint.
Colorful Vivid Tint is not a part of the S/S collection but it is launched almost at the same time so I guess I can say it’s a product for S/S season as well. On social media, you can find complete swatch of this tint and as usual from Etude, their shade range is not too far from pinks, reds, and oranges shades. In total, they have 10 shades.
The price is very affordable so if you are a fan of Etude’s lip tint, this won’t be heavy on the budget. To be honest, Etude’s lip tints are not my favorite, for some reasons there’s always hit and miss with their lip products. That’s why I want to try to see if this tint will be hit or will be another miss for me.
Irresistibly bright and vivid lips! Fits you, suits you and matches you like denim.

Etude House Colorful Vivid Tint OR203 Iced Persimmon Review:
For the packaging, I think it’s just a smaller version of their famous Shine Chic Lip Lacquer. The design is similar and they both have glossy bottle. It has 4g of products inside and I think for the price, it’s really good. For the shade’s name, I got confused for a moment.
On the box it is said that it’s called Iced Persimmon but on Etude’s official global website, the name is Coral Ripple. If you want to buy this shade, choose the number (such as OR203, OR201) instead of the shade’s name to avoid any mistake.
It has a doe-foot applicator and it has a slanted shape with a wide surface. It’s good to apply the tint because it helps to spread the tint evenly. I have no problem in applying the product but I find it’s a little bit hard to achieve a precise application because the applicator has a rounded point.
From 10 shades, I got mine in OR203. From the official swatch, Etude claims this shade as a pink coral shade and this time I agree with their description. The shade on me is a pinkish coral shade and I do like it, it is a perfect shade if you want something to brighten your look but still natural and not too much. I love wearing this type of shade when I go to work or just hanging out with a friend casually.
I believe this shade will suit every skin tone as well because it has a balance amount of warm and cool undertone. But for deep skin tone, maybe this shade will look too bright on you (but if you love bright lips, then it’s perfect!). This shade also has a bit of red undertone so it can brighten your complexion.
The pigmentation is really good, I’m surprised by how I only need one swipe to apply the tint fully on my lips and the texture is pretty bendable as well. It has a thin and a bit watery texture but on the lips it feels a bit thick and creamy. It also will give you a minty feeling upon the first application but it’ll be gone after a few minutes. It has a sweet fresh scent but don’t worry, you won’t even notice it unless you sniff it right from the applicator.
For its performance, I have to say that it’s not my favorite. I know that it’s not a velvet tint thus its poor lasting power but I didn’t expect that it lasts only 2 to 3 hours, even without eating! I wear it at the office and after 2 hours when I check my makeup, I notice the tint already fading. It does a reddish stain but it looks so uneven and not pretty.
Even though the lasting power is poor, I still appreciate how it feels on my lips. It feels comfortable and doesn’t dry out my lips. It’s a little bit sticky on the lips but the stickiness you feel is similar to one you get from a lip balm so it means this tint is moisturizing enough for my dry lips.
I thought the stain would be hard to remove (you know how tint stain is really stubborn and don’t want to leave your lips) but I’m glad I can remove it easily with a good micellar water. You have to wipe your lips gently though or your lips can be flaky if you rub too hard.
Overall I would give this tint 3 out of 5 stars. Even though I think it’s comfortable on the lips, the lasting power is too poor for my liking. The shade range also shows how Etude almost never try something new (sometimes I want to see a unexpected colors from Etude such as deep brown or terracotta). But because of the low price, I think I didn’t regret buying this lip tint to try.
If you are not a fan of lip tint with poor lasting power, don’t try this. Try a tint with velvet finish instead. But if you just curious and really want to try it, I would say get it because it’s very affordable and doesn’t make your lips look dry. But I think I won’t get it in another shade, I’m sure I have other lip tints with better performance and unique shades.
