[REVIEW] Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack Pk001 Berry Red

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack Pk001 Berry Red Review:

Did you notice that on last summer Etude House not only launched the popsicle tint but also peel-off lip tattoo product called Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack? Yups, few months ago Etude House released 2 lip products for their summer collections of Dear Darling Water Gel Tint, the ice cream tint and the tint pack. I wanted to buy both of them but thought that I already have tons of lip tints, so I paid for the lip tattoo only.

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack has 5 shades and my first choice was OR201. But the shade was immediately sold out, thus I went to other shade which is PK001 – Berry Red. Just for an information, this is my first time trying peel-off lip tattoo though it was quite popular about two years ago. I thought I am not a patient person to wait the product dries up before peeling it off. But since this is Etude House, one of my favorite brand, so I give it a try. Now, let’s see how it works!

The peel-off type tint pack makes the lip color last for long hours and keeps the lips healthy by simply applying and removing from the lips.

Etude House Dear Darling Water Gel Tint Pack Pk001 Berry Red Review:

Compared with other Etude House’s products, the packaging of this tint pack is kinda boring. It came in a plastic tube without an outer box, only wrapped with a transparent plastic.

The size of the tube is handy and very easy to squeeze the product out. Since it doesn’t come with box, only a little information written on the tube, and it is in Korean.

I do not have any problem with that because the complete information about the product can be found on Etude House’s official site.

I do not say that the package is ugly, but from the letter fonts and illustrations on the tube, I think it is too plain. It did not catch any princessy feeling or something cute from the package.

I am not sure but I think Dear Darling Water Gel Tint is more popular than this tint pack since the ice cream package is far away more attractive than this, right?

Once the cap twisted up, we would reach to the applicator. The hole where the product comes out, is pretty small. It helps to control the amount of the product we want to apply on.

But the problem is it doesn’t have brush, so we have to be careful when apply it on lips. After applying the product, the tip of the applicator could be messy too. If you hate something gross, then take a tissue to clean it after using.

While I am not that satisfied with the packaging, but this product paid me with its scent. PK001 is named Berry Red and it has sweet blueberry smell. It is super delicious like a candy. The sweetness is great and not too strong. I love it!

I do not know if other shades have different scents since each shade has different fruity name. But once again, I totally in love with Berry Red’s scent!

Since this is a lip tattoo in peel-off type, I did not wish for a weightless watery texture. Yes, it was not a surprise when I found this product had a bit thick texture. As guessed, this lip tattoo has gel-like consistency in medium thickness.

The gel is not runny so it does not drip off from my lips and is still easy to apply the product on and spread it out evenly.

Feeling sticky? Yes, of course. After application it will be somewhat sticky. It is like a liquid glue, but more lightweight. Before the pack drying up completely, do not press your lips together or you will regret doing that, haha. However, since the gel is not too thick, it is still comfortable to be applied on lips.

I usually wait about 15 minutes until the product dries up. I think 10 minutes is not enough to get the product completely dried up, so I give it 5 extra minutes.

And while waiting, I feel like dozens of tiny needles pricked my lips at first minutes. No, it is not that hurt nor itchy. Just a new sensation for me who is trying to peel-off lip tattoo for the first time, hehe.

When I peel it off, it doesn’t hurt at all. And the pack is quite easy to be peeled off. Oh, by the way, I accidentally licked the product and it was crazily sour, LOL.

And even after the dried-up tint pack has been already peeled off, I still got the super sour taste every time I licked my lips. Well, sour is better than bitter, in my opinion.

Surprisingly, the stain is more vivid than I expected before. I read some reviews on lip tattoo products that leave sheer stain, but Etude House gives me better. The color show up prettily.

When it was in gel form, the color looked darker but turned into its real color after being peeled off. The result looks very natural like you apply nothing on your lips. But sometimes, it looks uneven on some areas.

I like the fact that this product does not leave sticky feeling after I peel it off. It is also transferproof and smudgeproof. The more important thing is it doesn’t make my lips dry.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long like what it claimed. It stays about 5 hours on my lips. Lip ink from Peripera can stay longer than this product.

If you love natural look, this is a good product to be tried out. It will give your lips pretty color that looks super natural. Like “oh, I woke up like this!” effect.

It also feels comfortable and very lightweight on lips. I wish it lasts long like a tattoo, but unfortunately it doesn’t.

The shade PK001 is too red for my natural-look version, I think CR201 will be better. But I am not sure if I should buy CR201 or the other shades.

Because however, I am not that patient waiting 10-15 minutes to finish my daily lip makeup. But on the other hand, I always have fun every time I peel it off and get a tinted-lips that looks very natural!
