Etude House Honey Cera Treatment Lip Oil Review:
If you follow Etude House products trend, you should be familiar with its Honey Cera line, which has honey extract as the key ingredient. This product is actually a part of Honey Cera line, so no wonder if it comes with yellow-honey color theme like the other products in the same line. The outer box is typically like Etude House’s lip products. It has pretty design with the information and ingredients of the product written on sides the box in English and Korean. It is clear enough, isn’t it?
When saw the tube of the lip oil for the first time, I immediately fell in love for it. Instead of having cute theme, like usually Etude House products, this lip oil came with elegant and professional design. I really love the look! The bottle is designed in cube shape, silver-metallic cap and transparent body. We could easily know how much products left inside. The material of the bottle is sturdy and thick enough, makes it look classy and expensive.
I’m not going to complain about the applicator because I think it is actually not a liquid lip makeup but more like a lip care. The wand of the applicator is pretty short. I don’t know for people with wide and big hands, but the applicator length is still okay on me.
Meanwhile the tip of the applicator is a little bit weird, in my opinion. It is slightly curved and the shape is like a duck’s beak, wider on the tip, LOL. The bristles are short but very soft. I think it is comfortable enough though more effort is needed to get a neat application on the lip corners.
I like honey in my skincare and body care, but in real life I actually don’t like the scents of honey. I don’t hate it, just a little bit too strong for me. That’s why I worried about the smell of this product at first. Fortunately, it is lightly scented. I sniff the honey scent but it’s more like a sweet candy. Also it doesn’t have an oily scent. It smells quite nice.
The texture of this product is great. It is thicker than oil, hence it’s not runny on your lips. It is much lighter than lip gloss, thus it won’t feel sticky or heavy on lips. I do enjoy layering this product on my lips since it’s lightweight, even when applied after bold lipstick.
You can see from the pictures that the lip oil looks like honey inside the tube. Actually it has a slight of yellow color, but once applied on lips it becomes transparent. The yellow color won’t be noticeable, thus this lip oil can be used as a top coat after you apply your lipstick or lip tint.
This lip oil has a glossy finish. The result is very pretty, makes your lips look shiny, glowy and healthy. I really like the glossy effect since it is not oily, but watery look. Even if your lips are kinda oily, you could wear this lip oil without looking too dull.
The glossy result gives illusion of plump and wet lips. Hence your dry or chapped lips will look healthier. If you have some fine lines like me, this product is perfect to make your lips less wrinkly and give a smooth look.
For a glossy-finish lip product, I admit that its staying power is quite good. The glossy and wet look could be held on my lips about 3 hours. After that, it will leave a healthy and smooth effect like a lip balm. Yet you can see a slight of sheen on the surface of your lips.
Honey Cera line is targeted to moisturize the skin with its main ingredients, like honey, royal jelly and ceramides. And this product does its job very well. It moisturizes and keeps my lip soft. When I use it as a top coat on my lipstick or lip tint, it doesn’t cause flaky result even after hours. I tried to use it as a lip sleeping mask too and got smooth and soft lips on the next morning.
I suggest you to try Etude House Honey Cera Treatment Lip Oil. No matter if you think that your lips are already soft and hydrated, I tell you this product is much better than lip gloss because it gives a pretty glossy finish while moistens your lips at the same time.
Moreover, it’s not sticky and absolutely lightweight, so you can apply it as often as you want. Meanwhile, if you face dry and chapped lips problem, then treat your lips with this lip oil, the result is quite moist. Overall, this is one of the best products from Etude House.
