[REVIEW] FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink

FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink Review:

Winter is coming, and with that brings cold and dry weather — the worst possible combination that is guaranteed to wreak havoc on my already constantly-dry lips.

During these months, I put away almost all my lip makeup — there’s no point in wearing lipstick when it’s only going to come off in patches of dry lip skin (ew!) by midday. Don’t even get me started on re-application; there’s no way that will go smoothly (both literally and figuratively).

The FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment has been highly raved about as an effective treatment that also doubles as a tinted gloss to give a bit of oomph to the lips. It has an interesting concept — basing its entire line of these lip products on temperature as well as focusing on bacteria on the skin to enhance lip color.

How did it fare?

Claims:

+ The color of each person’s lips is different due to the difference in our blood temperature. This lip treatment gives everyone’s lips a gorgeous, slightly flushed lip color of the optimal 38 degree body temperature. LIP 38°C is blended luxuriously with FLOWFUSHI’s unique ingredient “end mineral”.

+ It increases your blood circulation and leads to 38°C, rosy colored lips. It also focused on the bacteria living in the skin.

+ Combined lactic acid bacteria “La Flora” that actively treats the bacteria of the skin flora for the first time in the world.

+ Prevents dullness and hyper pigmentation of thin, delicate lips while protecting from UV rays.

+ Has SPF20 PA++, made in Japan

FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink Review:

This product comes in five different shades which are all based on temperatures. There is 38ºC± 0ºC, Clear Crystal, which is a clear gloss. 38ºC-2ºC in Cool Ice Green offers a cooler tone with a green-tinted gloss perfect for neutralizing if you want to “dim” down your natural lip color.

The rest of the three shades are all greater than 38ºC, meaning that they are on the warmer side; in order of increasing “warmness”, we have: 38ºC+1ºC in Natural Baby Pink, 38ºC+3ºC in Vivid Coral Pink, and 38ºC+5ºC in Hot Coral Orange.

I went for 38ºC+1ºC in Natural Baby Pink, because it was the most natural of the five while offering just the slightest hint of pink.

The packaging of the product is just absolutely gorgeous; it comes in a plastic clear case shaped triangularly, with the tip of the triangle being the applicator. The clear packaging means that you can easily see the shade of the lip product — it’s also written front and center so you can’t miss it!

A twist-up applicator reveals a curved doe-foot applicator with a slight gap in the middle — the curviness really hugs the contour of your lips, and the gap prevents excess product from building up. In other words, application is amazing. I really enjoyed the bent applicator — I found myself wishing my other lipsticks had that. It was really great for getting an even application without having to go over and over to cover missed areas.

FLOWFUSHI 38ºC Lip Treatment +1ºC Natural Baby Pink Review

This shade in Natural Baby Pink really doesn’t offer a lot of color; if you are into pigmented glosses, you may want to check out the warmer colors in Vivid Coral Pink and Hot Coral Orange. My lips are quite pigmented, so this shade was perfect as it played well with the natural color of my lips.

It’s basically a gloss with a shimmery effect created by tiny glitter particles. The glitter nothing over the top, and it’s barely noticeable unless you get real up and close.

Glosses have the tendency to goop strangely on top of my lips, but this one sat really comfortably, like a lip balm with a glossy effect without the dreaded gross stickiness or greasiness. It is so lightweight that I did forget it was on quite a few times.

It didn’t bleed or migrate anywhere that it wasn’t supposed to go; it does transfer a little bit and only lasts a couple of hours, but the packaging is so gorgeous and convenient that I really don’t mind reapplying in public.

The real test was whether it held up and improved the conditions of my lips. I put this on in the morning without exfoliating my lips before, and my lips looked so hydrated and plump during the day — even my friends commented on how healthy they looked! The effect lasted well into the next day, and made applying other lip products smoother as well!

I love the natural lip color with that sheer wash of color and the glossy effect making for the perfect pout; combined with the effectiveness of this product in actually treating my lips, FLOWFUSHI Lip Treatment 38ºC is a must-have.

I have actually been wearing it non-stop for the past month, and have also bought backups because I really don’t know what I would do without it!
