[REVIEW] HuangJiSoo Floral Relief Chamomile Toner

Huangjisoo Floral Relief Chamomile Toner Review:

This is a product that, honestly, attracted me because of the flowers and plants in it. Not only chamomile, but camellia and centella asiatica! The first time I used it I was disappointed because there was no scent (I hadn’t read the package) but that became a very small problem after I saw the results!

(From the package)

+ No alcohol, no paraben, no fragrance, no mineral oil

+ 99.6% Natural, for sensitive skin, pure and moisturizing, 10-free-system

(Translated from Korean by yours truly)

+ From premium Chamomiles from Croatian mountains, only Huangjisoo has the know-how to use the natural organic ingredients to make this A-grade gentle toner.

Water, Chamomile Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Akebisol Extract, Echinacea Angustifolia Extract, Glcereth-26, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol

Huangjisoo Floral Relief Chamomile Toner Review

Volume: 300ml

How to use:

1. After cleansing, apply to the skin with hands or a cotton pad.

2. You can use it as a 7 skin method toner to increase elasticity from deep within the skin, as well as increase moisture.

3. You can use it as a patch mask by applying toner generously on a cotton pad and leaving it on the sensitive skin for around 5 minutes. It relieves and soothes sensitive skin fast.

My Skin Type:

Combination (dry U oily T), sensitive, needs elasticity, hydration and nutrients.
(At the moment of the review writing it was also damaged and dry from pollution)

Huangjisoo Floral Relief Chamomile Toner Review:

As I mentioned before, I was super disappointed with the lack of scent because I didn’t read the package. But then I realized (and read it) this is a toner ideal for sensitive skins so of course removing all scents is necessary. And I must tell you right away, scent or no scent I would love this toner just the same: it’s simply perfect.

For the photo of the back part of the product I had to use my second bottle because I had already photographed and used all of this bottle up. I mean, I wrote this review at the very end of the bottle, right?

The toner bottle is simple, works well, it’s clean, and originally came with a tiny vinyl sticker to guarantee it was new.

I mean it’s pretty simple, but the small tones of orange make it pretty and magical (and really reminds me of chamomile).

Here you can see it is completely transparent, and I tell you it’s as liquid as water.

It is in many ways comparable to Etude House’s Soon Jung Toner and Scinic’s The Simple toner.

But there are a few differences:

Compared to the Etude House one, both this and scinic’s are a little more moisturizing.

Compared to both of the others, Huangjisoo one is a little more… feel-able. It feels less like “just water” that is. Even though they have the same texture.

Design-wise, the other two win, but do you really want to consider design on such an important thing for sensitive skins?

Other uses for this toner include:

  • 7-skin method
  • DIY mask or patch mask
  • Base for DIY mask or mist
  • Morning cleansing “water” for dry skins (which supposedly shouldn’t wash their faces too often)

These are the ones I have tried and love, and I must say at 300ml of product I feel like instead of “wasting” the toner like that I am actually using the best of it!

Huangjisoo Floral Relief Chamomile Toner Review

I apologize for my skin condition, but it’s not like I chose it.
However, it was ideal to take the photos so…

My skin was dry, droopy, dehydrated, sensitive, and lacking elasticity.
Using it as just a toner, you see some result. This toner absorbs super fast and super well, like the other sensitive skin toners I mentioned.

As a three layer (I don’t use 7-skin) method, you can see instant soothing, hydration, elasticity, and you can’t see it but it helped the following products absorb well and deep without needing an excessive amount (I noticed this especially on serum and ampoules), which means this hydration does go deep once it absorbs.

I used this toner in November as the season started to change, but I used it so so well.

I recommend it a lot for sensitive skins, or skins with any of the conditions I mentioned earlier!

I already have another one waiting to be loved, so I do love it. As much as the Soon Jung toner. And it’s cheaper!
