Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Review

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Review:

I was searching for a first treatment essence to add in my routine and I stumbled upon this. I compared this to both SKII Treatment Essence and Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence and both are much more expensive for a newbie. So, I picked Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence thinking that if this is good for my routine, I can always upgrade.

[REVIEW] Soo Nature Spirulina Repair Eye Cream

Soo Nature Spirulina Repair Eye Cream Review

Soo Nature Spirulina Repair Eye Cream Review:

Spirulina! That weird thing even Miranda Kerr drinks. This product is the pride and joy of Soo Nature, they advertise it as if they were the only brand in the world to use it! And, honestly, they have a good reason to do that since in Korean Skincare there’s almost nothing out there that includes spirulina.

When it comes to Korean skincare, that is. I mean, French people do brag about how good it is, so why wouldn’t this brand? After using this cream for a long while, I have to say I understand why they do it. Did you try spirulina yet?

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Review

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Review:

I love chemical exfoliation. It truly has been a skincare routine game changer for me (I even rarely do physical exfoliation previously). This step has helped to even my skin tone, tackle pimples and pigmentations, gives a brighter complexion and smoother skin.

After discovering the wonderful world of chemical exfoliation, I began searching for more to try. I already have an AHA treatment in my routine, so I wanted to add in an exfoliating toner to be used in rotation with the treatment. And of course, I could not help but seeing people raving about The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution almost everywhere on Instagram. With the very affordable price tag, big size and low pH formula, of course I was so intrigued to give it go!

[REVIEW] Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti-hair Loss Shampoo (For Oily Scalp)

Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti-hair Loss Shampoo (For Oily Scalp) Review

Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti-hair Loss Shampoo (For Oily Scalp) Review:

I have been using Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti-hair Loss Shampoo from almost two months and I think I am good enough to write this review. If you remember my review of Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Nutritive Treatment, then this is another product from the same line, it is Ryo Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo. I bought this as a bundle when I repurchased the conditioner, and it was a good deal from the seller.

Ryo has some variants of Jayangyunmo Anti Hair Loss Shampoo to treat different scalp type; Normal-Dry Scalp, Oily Scalp and Sensitive Scalp. I was confused whether I should pick the oily or the sensitive one, but I ended up with the oily scalp shampoo..hhaha. As I get very good result from the conditioner, I expected this product would give a good result as well. Maybe when both of these products work together, they will give better result, right? Well, let’s see!

[REVIEW] Scinic Aqua All in One Ampoule

Scinic Aqua All in One Ampoule Review

Scinic Aqua All in One Ampoule Review:

Scinic was a completely unknown brand to me – until I discovered the Asian Beauty reddit site and heard about Scinic’s All in One (AIO) ampoules. At that time the size of the ampoule appealed to me the most as well as the way the product sounded and the fact that many people seemed to rave about these ampoules. I must admit I am a sucker for cute products – or products that come in large containers for a cheap price, because I am heavy handed with applying products. Also the design of the jar, I really love how the AIO looks, the colors and design totally appealed to me.

The Aqua AIO greatly appealed to me because of how it contains three types of watery, and I hoped it should be a decent boost of water for my dehydrated skin. After all the one problem I really wanted to fix was my dehydration, because you can’t fix multiple problems all at once, right? So let’s so how this AIO performed, was it the miracle watery product that finally cured my thirsty and parched dehydrated skin?

[REVIEW] VT x BTS Collagen Pact SPF50+ PA+++ | #21

VT x BTS Collagen Pact #21 Review

VT x BTS Collagen Pact #21 Review:

Since June 2017, articles and social media sites were buzzing about the anticipated cosmetics collaboration with unknown brand VT Cosmetics and popular Korean band BTS. Around October, the brand launched two foundation cushion compacts – a black one and a white one, both containing collagen in the formulas. The black compact was targeted for mid-twenties and older skin, while the white compact was for early to mid-twenties. Many were flocking to the black compact, while I gravitated to the white compact after reading translated descriptions of the formulas via the brand’s website.

VT Cosmetics, formerly Vant Cosmetics, originally specialized in oral health. They’ve rebranded themselves as a mid to upper end health and beauty brand offering a range of products to help with overall body health. Celebrity endorsement aside, their compact was the only foundation product I’ve seen that includes collagen in the formula. Because I’m in my mid-twenties, the thought of trying something with collagen in it sounded appealing, as I’ve been encouraged to take care of my skin before it starts changes with age. The special compact was offered in shade, 21, when I purchased it. Since its launch, the brand has introduced a warmer shade, 23 as another option.

[REVIEW] Etude House Dr. Ampoule Dual Mask Sheet Age Care

Etude House Dr. Ampoule Dual Mask Sheet Age Care Review

Etude House Dr. Ampoule Dual Mask Sheet Age Care Review:

On my quest for propolis and honey based products I saw this mask. To be quite honest, I didn’t even check the ingredient list at the store and since it was on promotion I simply grabbed it and took it home! Of course, I checked the ingredients before using – and it doesn’t contain any of the honey goodness I wanted but it has snail secretion and ginseng extract.

Normally I wouldn’t use something with snail but I had already bought it so what the heck. It has two parts – a first step that’s an essence and a second step that’s the mask sheet itself. And it promises to take care of one of my biggest skin concerns: aging. So of course, I got it, when it was at a discounted price.

[REVIEW] Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Moisturizing Gel

Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Moisturizing Gel Review

Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Moisturizing Gel Review:

So, I first came across this brand on the Cult Beauty UK website. Turns out this is a Singaporean brand so it had me very intrigued as most Asian beauty products that make it to this side of the world are usually from Korea or Japan with the odd one or two from Taiwan. So when I went back to Malaysia for a holiday, I thought I should support my fellow neighboring country and hopped over to the local drugstore to try out their skincare.

[REVIEW] Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Wrinkle Up Spot

Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Wrinkle Up Spot Review

Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Silk Wrinkle Up Spot Review:

When I was in Seoul during the summer, I must have spent all my life savings in Myeongdong on K-beauty products (kidding….or am I?). I decided to venture outside my comfort zone and try some brands that I normally would not have even thought of purchasing. Nature Republic was one of those brands, mainly because they were everywhere and also because the salesperson was handing out sample sheet masks outside the store….I am a major sucker for freebies. I decided to venture outside my comfort zone and try some brands that I normally would not have even thought of purchasing.

One of their bestsellers was the Ginseng Royal Silk range. I bought a few products from that range but the one I started using first was the Wrinkle Up Spot. The saleslady told me that this product was good for removing wrinkles especially under the eyes and smile lines around the mouth. The main ingredient in this product is gold (99%) which promotes blood circulation and has a brightening effect. Perfect for dark circles! This product also contains ginseng for revitalization of the skin, silk compounds for cell regeneration and royal jelly which again, has brightening properties as well as helps to keep the skin firm and supple. “Sold!” – I thought to myself. Give me a tube of that golden ginseng goodness!
